Hamas killed on October 7 around 1195 people (latest number is 1139) of whom 68% were civilians, and 32% were IDF soldiers, policemen and Shin Bet aka combatants. 36 kids were killed which is 3,2% of all victims. The IDF killed more than 67.000 people with as much as 80% civilians and around 20% combatants. The percentage of the killed kids is 27% or in numbers 18.500 children murdered. They were shot on their own soil about 100 m away from the fence. If you want to call it something else that's up to you. But worldwide experts have called it genocide. You are mixing things up: There was no Israel until May 48. After more and more Jews had illegally migrated to Palestine and it was clear that there will be no peace between them and the Arabs, the UN decided for the partition into a Jewish state and an Arab state in late 47. The Arabs who had been promised their own country by the Brits if they fight with them against the Ottoman Empire felt betrayed and opposed that partition. The Jews declared their independence and created Israel by taking more land than the partition plan had assigned to them and then the war started. The Arabs wanted their stolen land back, attacked and lost. About 20 years later, in 1967, the Six-Day War erupted; Israel started it and and occupied the Golan Heights from Syria, the West Bank from Jordan, and the Gaza Strip and the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt, later gave back some part of it but still illegally occupy most of it. The Palestinians who live in occupied areas like Gaza and Westbank are under Israeli military rule, meaning no regular law protecting them. As a result settlers can practically commit any crime they want with impunity. Many Palestinians have been maimed or killed with almost no consequences for the perpetrators. On top of that the IDF has and always had the duty to make life as difficult for the Palestinians as possible, be it by additional checkpoints, where they can ask for whatever document they want and harass the Palestinians or by arrests without any reason at any time of the day or night. They have from the start misinformed the Palestinians about "safe zones" which they later bombed. Not to mention the world`s kitchen workers who were attacked by a drone for 3 minutes until all of them were dead. Or the 15 aid workers who were executed and secretly buried. And worst of all, all those kids with gunshots to the head, chest, abdomen or testicles depending on the day of the week. Or Hind Rajab, whose cousins had been shot in the family car trying to escape the IDF, while she miraculously survived and called for help, begging for her life. The IDF approved one emergency car to come and get her and then murdered both, the medics in the emergency car and 5 year old Hind Rajab. The fired more than 350 bullets into that car, where she was waiting for rescue. I have served in the German Army, the Bundeswehr, my rank being Hauptmann. If I am not wrong that translates "Captain". In my opinion on that day the IDF put shame and dishonored any man and woman in uniform. Executing a 5 year old girl. What a disgrace. If I remember it correctly, those soldiers who finally got Bin laden did not kill the children or women (except one) in the compound. Although the whole world would have understood, if they just bombed the building. I mean, it is Bin Laden we talk about here. The IDF flattened 82% of all buildings in Gaza in which of course, who would believe anything else, were a lot of human shields. Still waiting to see a few pictures, which prove that, not to mention the 3 story command centers under every hospital, university, school and kindergarten.
