Why? The posts look substantial enough to do the job. It’s not going to be a living space on top, no walls, so not a huge extra weight.
i would think the job could cost under 50k if it’s only above the existing spaceYes, I was quoted 80 Baht A square metre for labour by a local builder. Thank you so much for your advice. It really is helping me.

How old is the iron? And what iron quality?
How is the iron anchored to the posts?
Thank you for your reply. The villa is 12 years old and the quality? If you go by the way the villa was built, I would have to say; quality is good. As for (Anchored) See photo. Thanks again

Thanks Kwasaki for your reply
the length is about 24 feet and the width is about 19 feet. So that would be the size of the concrete floor. And yes a spiral staircase would be nice too!

Good information
Renewing 5-year license
When it’s time to renew your 5-year license to get another 5-year licence, the procedure is almost exactly the same. The only difference is that you don’t need the medical certificate. The fee is again 505 THB (plus an extra 50 THB if your name or address has to be updated).
Renewing an expired license
You can renew your license up to 3 months before the expiration of your current one. You can also renew it up to 1 year after the expiration date with no penalty.
If your license has expired by more than 1 year, you must retake the theory test and pass 45 of 50 questions to renew.
If your license has expired by more than 3 years you must take both the theory and practical tests.
How to get a 6-year license
The expiration date of a Thai driving license is always set to the license holder’s birthday. Because of this, you should be able to get a “6-year” license renewal with this one weird trick:
Allow your license to expire by one day. Then go to renew it on the day after your birthday. By doing it this way, you should be able to obtain a “6-year” license—or more precisely 5 years and 364 days.

Hi all,
I've been on a work permit and visa for about 8 years now. But I want to retire soon.
I have my own condo in my name in Bangkok and I have a 30 year lease on a villa in Hua-Hin.
Question: If I use my condo in Bangkok as my retirement address is there a time period that I must adhere to? Such as 5 nights in the condo and 2 in the villa?
Hope someone can help?
Thanks in advance

My daughter now lives in England with the mother. I have only ever seen my daughter at any court appearances. But I do talk to her most days now on Facebook. The last almost 8 years of my daughter's life I have lost. But the future is looking better. I will always support her in anything she chooses to do. At this moment in time, she says she would like to be a nurse. I'm so very proud of her. She is all grown up new 16 going on 17.

Hi Paul
It would be good to hear the conclusion when you're able to do so.
Your posts are worth so much to those who will walk the same path in the future.
Best wishes for the future.
Hi Blackcab
I'm still trying to start the conclusion. But I can say this. The Juvenile court is fair well pretty fair when slitting up the money and assets. Fair as well when it comes to child maintenance. But when it comes to contact, the court is fair but have no teeth to enforce any contract made by the mother and father.

Hi, everyone today the court threw out the last claim of the mother's side. I am now free to finish my story. I'm still in Thailand, I'm living near Hua Hin and.... I will write my story soon. Thank you, everyone, that helped me over the years. But I had to stop posting as the mother's side was using my posts in court against me.

Hi everyone
sorry I have not replied to any posts lately, I have come to the conclusion that my daughter is old enough to start to make her own mind up, about if she wants to see me.
Over Songkhran Festival I stayed in my condo alone for about 6 days, spoke to no one and just thought about this situation. Something broke in my brain and body. I finally came to terms with what had happened to my daughter and me. Which put me into some kind of shock. Which stopped me having an appetite. I have lost 14 kilos in 6 weeks and I am still losing weight at this time. I have stopped chasing the execution officer for updates after I went to the Juvenile court to ask what was happening and was told my case was in a bunch of cases that were on hold because of the coup, NICE.
I have not contacted my daughter's old school to see if she has returned there or not, nor will I. It's time for me to rest my old bones before I fall over.
So I will just wait now, because I am just not strong enough to fight on at this moment in time.
Any news and of course I will update straight away.
Thanks again everyone for your support in my matters.
The new me with out the 14 kilos.

Hi all thanks for your thoughts. Sad story slipperylobster. but thank you anyway. I know it is not just me,that this heinous crime against children is happening to. But it sure feels like it sometimes.
Update: Police in England are still looking for the mother. They have said she and the boy friend have gone to ground. But the mother has blocked me on facebook same as the boyfriend (who wanted a meeting with me) and my daughter facebook page have all be blocked from me. I was never friends with any of them, but I could send messages to the mother and boyfriend but not my daughter. But now I have been blocked by them all. This tells me the mother is (pissed) with the police in England looking for her.
Here in Bangkok my lawyer has been back to court and here is a nice bit of information, (where ever the problem is located in relation to a court order you have to use the local execution office.) So for the transfer of title deeds of the condo into my daughters name the and the transfer of the car into my name so it can be sold. The execution office in Prathumthani have been instructed. As for the my daughter getting to the new school of my choice. The central Bangkok execution office has been instructed.
I think the mother's side are never going to give up for many reasons. Here is the conclusion of a letter I wrote to an agency in England that has been helping me.
conclusionI worry very much that these people (including Mr. ------) can never let my daughter (speak with her own voice.) Because any sexual, physical, or mental abuse that may come out, once my daughter feels safe enough to speak, would put these people in jail for a very long time. These people are trapped by their own web of lies, this is why they will say and do anything to stop my daughter following the Supreme Court orders. Which would place her in a safe environment. I.E. An international boarding school in Bangkok. Where she will be free to see and love both parents, and speak with her own voice. So I have had no contact with my daughter since October last year. Apart from those phone calls on the eve of the last day of term in March. Which I do believe was not my daughter talking to me anyway. So the carrot of the condo is gone for them now. At the last court hearing 25,000 bt was logged against the mother in court fees. I know she will never pay but it is a good start. If the family members are summoned and arrest warrant are obtained. That could be up to 500,000 bt just to gain bail for them. 100,000 each, bail money for the five ring leaders. Of course they will never go to prison for their actions unless some bad things has happened to my daughter.I miss my daughter very much and hope the situation will end soon for all concerned. I will never stop till my daughter is safe and getting the best education I can pay for. Any news I will post straight awayOpps I am late for work sorry for any spelling mistakes- 5

Every move is posted before it's made .... no wonder this isn't resolved yet..........
Hi jpinx
You said "Every move is posted before it's made .... no wonder this isn't resolved yet.........."
I think you are correct about me posting too much on Thaivisa, that is why I have slowed down a bit. I do not know if they can be bothered to read this thread even if they have found it. But I have not made a move yet nor will I, as the execution officer is responsible for carrying out the orders from the Supreme Court. From the research I have done over the three and a half years; the Alienating Parent will not stop his/her ways till they are about to get into trouble or it's going to cost them their liberty. Because they are very happy abusing young children that love them dearly and will do anything to be with them. But the cowards will just walk away when the heat gets too much for them. That is when it will be resolved, and I do not post everything on here, as it could be classed as sub judice and come back and bite me in the ass later.
But if they want to try and get the execution officer to listen to them, "be my guest." I'm sure they will try anything so, up to them. This case will finish the moment just before one of those brave hero's is about to be arrested.
As of today I have had zero contact with my daughter since the last day of term. But maybe it is better for her that I just wait now as the first thing the mother's side does is put my daughter in the firing line. Best I wait till she is in a safe place before I try and talk to her.

Never heard anything like this or read about it on this forum.
Without really knowing ur familysituation exactly and about your workingsituation, apart from what u wrote, i would make sure 1st of all that ur son stays with u on a daily basis. Based on what u wrote that needs adapting from u. The more alarming fact, although you did not mention this, is that for his mother it is apparantly ok. As it happened not as an incident but routinely. I would assume that your son has told her, and fammembers about it. You better focus yourself on clearing all that before taking the steps as you indicated.
If the above is non applicable, i would try to get in touch with other parents kids to see if they are aware of what is happening at said school, and if yes, what their thoughts are about it. Continue from there. I doubt though that you, as being a foreigner, alone will be able to achieve something but surely it is worth trying to stop this behaviour by people with who children should be safe with. I truly feel for your son and should be proud of him for opening up to you.
Best of luck !Good idea to have a lawyer write letters and take action.
There is no excuse for such behavior by teachers and I am pretty sure it is illegal.
When i took my kids to thai school I informed the teachers and the principal that if the kids needed disciplined for them to call me and i would do it. No teacher was allowed to hit my kids and none did.
Hi ThaiTbone.
Very nicely written, but as Mr. (P) has said; the mother seems to be OK with the schools actions? The mother would have been the person signing in your child to the said school. So if the mother does not (back you up) then I fear you have little chance with the school. I agree with what has been said above, "never let your child out of your sight while in Thailand." Or you may end up like me. Be careful trust no one. Good luck anyway. Please let us know how you get on.

any updates?
Hi eeergood
No update to mention, only to say my daughter is missing again, the mother's side will not answer the phone or answer text messages.
But my lawyer is back from his holiday today. So I will make contact today or tomorrow. So maybe we can both go and see the execution officer together?
Thanks for you comments eeergood. I soon as I know anything I will post. I am looking forward in learning about this execution officers powers myself
Thanks Mario: agree
