Trump's choice of VP has thus far proven a negative overall increasing Trump's desperation in avoiding electoral defeat which will expose him to a myriad of legal liabilities. Those historical liabilities are now potentially added to by the federal criminality of participating in discussion of political issues with Heads of foreign Governments as a citizen. Addressing Trump as President may be an acceptable in the same manner as a retired " General" but is legally barred from doing so when not In Office.
