  1. I wouldn't think that he would either. Makes him very vulnerable to a coup back home.
  2. In that case he'd be offed in Russia. But his replacement might be worse.
  3. He'll probably get a pass. The west has bigger fish to fry than Make Believe Land.
  4. You actually didn't call it a war. This isn't Moscow. Fought on borders? Are you having a laugh. Are playgrounds in Kyiv on the border?
  5. Yeah can't say what I really think.
  6. It would have been good. However I am not a reporter and I don’t need renewal for some years. So I was not going to call him. I did what I was comfortable doing that I think will be of interest to some people. Let people know that there is at least one agent in town offering a service relating to helping people with the passport renewall process. If someone does call or use the service you are most welcome to post here about it.
  7. I think the Pattaya service was stopped long before Covid Again budget cuts. Pattaya people can get to Bangkok if they need to much easier than Phuket people. I don't expect Pattaya service to ever be restored.
  8. I have no idea what you're talking about There is the usual way see the US embassy website. Or of you want more of a hand holding service you may inquire at the agent I mentioned, ask them what exactly they will do for you, and then decide if what they offer is worth the fee to you or not.
  9. I think it was stopped because of budget cuts.
  10. When the US consular staff used to visit Pattaya I think it was twice a year a large hall was filled all day. Of course most people were there for the income statements affidavits which they stopped doing. Also passport applications and other business of course. It was a great convenience and much appreciated by expats here. No doubt without the income statements it would be much less demand. Trolling insults IGNORED.
  11. I've finally reached my limit with that sacharine disingenuous comment defending a notoriously racist propagandist. Bye.
  12. I guess not too much of a fan as he's long dead. But he was very. very horrible.
  13. I was aware for a long time that there is at least one agency that will assist UK nationals with passport renewals. But I never heard of such a service for USA nationals. Yes I know you can do it yourself, but what if you want a service to do it, that would not involve worrying about dealing with the mailing and receiving yourself or going to Bangkok (multiple times)? So I thought some people might be interested. My passport is OK for now but it's nice to know there is help available when the time comes. My last renewal was done first in Pattaya when embassy staff visited occasionally but they stopped doing that long ago. There really is no point posting that nobody NEEDS this service. Perhaps not but I can assure you some people WANT this service. So UK and USA passport renewal service available here: Home - Thai Girlfriend Visa from the top visa company in Pattaya - Key Visa (keyvisathailand.com) Note well: The US service is not listed on the link but I know it is offered because they owner recently discussed it on a youtube video. Does anyone know the fees for these services?
  14. No, but Georgia might. So many Russians there enjoying themselves that Putin might feel to attack them again to liberate the draft dodgers from the great wine.
  15. Putin is happy enough now to continue to intentionally murder children. That's what he's good at.
  16. Unfortunately even in a better case scenario getting Crimea back would be very hard. In fact even if Ukraine got all the rest of the east back I reckon at that point the west would be ready to push a deal hard. Not fair but what else is new?
  17. Some are more guilty than others.
  18. People ignored me again and again so I gave up! There is another active topic specifically fitting escalation discussion but people insisted on ignoring that so I did indeed post on that vein here. Note well I personally never had a problem with that except in the sense of forum guidelines. Only that. Otherwise they fit together. If you insist on trying to get this closed now for whatever reason that's up to you. It feels like personal spite to me though so not very pretty. Cheers.
  19. BAIT IGNORED
  20. It could be or instead you could just stop reading it.
  21. There won't be one in the sense of proving him of being a traitor. If he leads Ukraine to a decisive victory against Putin he will be the George Washington of his country. As far as money he was a very successful entertainment entrepreneur before being a leader so he would be crazy not to have money abroad. Usually these kinds of Tucker Carlson level snarky insinuations are also tainted with antisemitism. These toxic arguments try to suggest that because Ukraine isn't a perfect democracy or free of ony corruption they are as bad as Putin and not worthy of support from the west to defend against a genocidal invasion. Of course I don’t know what percentage of Zelensky's assets are abroad but I would consider him stupid and irresponsible to have none considering hes a top assassination target and has a family with young children.
