Kawiwoot Boonruang received reports of a fire at the preschool located in Thap Ma, Mu 4, Mueang District, Rayong. Firefighting teams from the Thap Ma Municipality and the Sawaeng Phorakulsam Rescue Foundation were quickly dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, firefighters found the building engulfed in smoke and flames pouring from a classroom. Emergency rescue teams were dispatched to the scene, where they discovered a pickup truck had rear-ended a 10-wheeler truck in the parallel lane. Upon inspection, one fatality was confirmed, a 71 year old driver trapped inside the pickup truck. The weather conditions were reported as dry and sunny at the time of the crash. The vehicle’s dashboard and the rear of the truck, had pinned the individual, preventing immediate extraction. The driver had suffered massive head and upper body injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Rescue teams deployed hydraulic cutting equipment and additional emergency vehicles to aid in the operation. The victim’s body was successfully removed from the wreckage and transported to Samut Sakhon Hospital for further procedures and an autopsy. Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision and reviewing CCTV to establish the facts of the collision. Authorities ate working on 3 theories, that the driver either fell asleep, suffered a medical or was somehow distracted before colliding with the truck. The truck driver told police that he had parked his truck with warning lights on, as he when to purchase some noodles at a roadside stall. Rescue teams and investigators arrived at the scene near Moo 1, Ban Thanon Ngam, to find the deceased lying on his back in the mud. The victim, identified as Mr. Udom, was wearing a black jacket, a green t-shirt, and black pants, which were partially pulled down. Blood stains were visible on his torso, and his body bore multiple stab wounds: eight on his torso, two on his head, and eight on his back. Nearby, investigators found broken beer bottles, fragments of a motorcycle helmet, and pieces of the victim’s clothing. His shoes were found floating in water nearby. The body was first discovered by Mr. Sommai 59, a local resident who had come to soak rice seeds in the field. “At first, I thought he might have passed out drunk, but as I got closer, I realised he was dead. I didn’t recognize him, so he’s likely not from our village,” Mr. Sommai said. He alerted the village headman and police. Ms. Anong 49, owner of the karaoke bar the victim frequented, said he had come to her bar the previous evening with two friends, a man and a woman. “They bought liquor earlier in the day and returned to drink that evening. The group seemed fine when they left, though there was some confusion about paying the bill,” she explained. The victim’s friends allegedly refused to pay, saying the victim would cover the cost. According to police, the victim and his two friends left the bar together on a motorcycle, with the woman driving, the victim sitting in the middle, and the other man in the back. It is believed the group was headed to the male friend’s house to retrieve money. Along the way, a heated argument broke out, leading to the violent attack. Broken bottles were reportedly used as weapons to stab the victim. His body was then dragged and left in the field. Deputy Provincial Police Commander Pol. Col. The rescue effort required hydraulic cutters to free Mr. Koson 46, a resident of Chaiyaphum Province, who was trapped in the driver’s seat of a Mazda 3 car. The car had been struck midsection by an 18-wheeler truck, bearing license plate from Bangkok. Rescuers worked for approximately 20 minutes to cut open the driver’s side door and extract Mr. Koson, who was then transported to Khon Kaen Hospital for treatment. Three other injured family members had already been rushed to the hospital earlier. According to the truck driver, he was en route to deliver goods to a location on Liang Mueang Road in Ban Phra Khue, Mueang District, after traveling along Mittraphap Road and crossing the railway overpass into Klang Mueang Road. As he descended the overpass, the sedan car stopped and attempted a U-turn back onto the overpass, aiming to rejoin Mittraphap Road. Unable to brake in time, the truck collided with the car’s side. At the time, employees of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), who were returning home from their duties at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), witnessed the incident and immediately rushed to assist the victim. They successfully rescued the injured motorcyclist from the water, using an old door as a stretcher. Suvarnabhumi Airport’s security centre quickly coordinated with emergency rescue services to provide first aid and arranged for the injured individual to be transferred to Chularat 3 Hospital for further medical treatment. The call came from Mrs. Pannee 59, who was visibly distressed as she recounted the shocking encounter. Upon inspection, officers confirmed the presence of a large python, estimated to be 2-3 metres long, that occasionally surfaced for air while flicking its tongue. When they attempted to lift the makeshift grate placed by the homeowners over the toilet to prevent the snake from escaping, the python submerged itself back into the water and disappeared down the drain. To locate the snake, the team enlisted the help of local workers to dismantle the toilet, a task that took over an hour. Despite their efforts to search the tank and pipes, the python could not be found. It is suspected that the snake retreated further into the plumbing system, possibly into the septic tank. Mrs. Pannee shared her harrowing experience, explaining that she and her family have lived in the house for over five years without encountering such an incident. She first suspected something was wrong the evening before when water in the toilet drained unusually slowly, prompting her to use a plunger to clear it.
