55555 Finding more comments to meet your agenda? Real credible source there, a retired HVAC technician, was that also from your source of the real truth Reddit? Your comments/rants would be funny if they were not so totally embarrassing. Have a good day in your alternative cult reality, as you clearly fail to understand what is a credible/reliable source.

Foreigner Knocks Out Kuwaiti Tourist in Pattaya, Police Launch Hunt
Georgealbert replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
This update from Thai media. “Authorities have arrested a foreign national involved in a physical altercation with a Kuwaiti man, revealing that the incident stemmed from a love triangle. The perpetrator had previously dated the victim’s girlfriend. Prior to the confrontation, the two men exchanged words, which escalated into a heated argument and provocations. The suspect lost control and resorted to violence, resulting in a brawl that was later widely shared on social media. Contrary to earlier reports suggesting involvement of foreign mafia, the incident was a domestic dispute over the same woman. The police have documented the arrest and charged the suspect with causing a public disturbance. He has been taken to Pattaya City Police Station for further legal proceedings.” -

Georgealbert replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya
Thai news report with video of the incident. https://www.77kaoded.com/news/sangk/2580855 -
July 10, Authorities responded to a hit-and-run incident today involving a foreign national driving a sedan. The initial collision occurred in Soi Buakhao, and the driver fled the scene. A group of vigilant citizens pursued the fleeing vehicle, eventually catching up with the car. Despite their efforts to get the driver to stop and exit the vehicle, he refused to comply. Consequently, the citizens took matters into their own hands, forcibly removing the foreign driver from his car. The situation escalated, resulting in the foreign national being subjected to mob justice. Local authorities arrived shortly after to intervene and restore order. The driver was taken into custody, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances of the hit-and-run and subsequent events. Pictures from local responders.

Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt has stressed the importance of proactive fire prevention measures following a recent fire incident in the Phloi Alley community. He highlighted that true fire safety involves more than just having fire hydrants; it requires fire extinguishers, regular fire drills, and accessible routes for fire trucks and personnel. Governor Chadchart revealed that Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has conducted fire evacuation training in over 300 communities this year, including the Phloi Alley community earlier this year. He attributed the absence of casualties in the recent fire to these trainings. He noted that 256 communities in Bangkok have limited access for fire trucks. Simply having fire hydrants does not guarantee safety, as proper fire extinguishers, evacuation drills, and clear routes for firefighters are essential. Fire hydrants must be operated by trained personnel. The Governor has directed the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation to assess and improve fire safety in densely populated areas such as Sampeng, Ratchawong, Phahurat, Charoenchai, and Khlong Thom. This includes evaluating the condition of electrical wiring and reviewing firefighting plans for these communities. https://www.thaipbs.or.th/news/content/341883

Your most ridiculous post so far. So if I want the truth I need to look at anonymous postings on Reddit, people who I have no idea of their qualifications, training or knowledge, but then your tell me you are not a conspiracy ‘wingnut’ by telling me I only find the real truth on Reddit. I tend to listen and read the real experts, with real facts and post creditable links to them. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Accident Investigation Bureau of Ethiopia's (EAIB) Indonesia’s National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) You clearly fail to recognise in yourself that when you lack the understanding in the subject, that it requires intelligence and intellectual capability to know and understand your own limits and capabilities. But you choose to continue blindly down your own rabbit hole, solely based on your own opinions., Reddit 55555. P.S try to educate yourself on how to use the forum, so that you could possibly post a screenshot that shows what you want. My discussion with you has finished.
-
55555 You post a link, which states “Hear it from the experts: The real reason the 737 MAX crashed”, those experts from your link are the “Flight Safety Detectives John Goglia and Greg Feith, these guys are the real experts”, but then do not believe what the experts are saying in your own posted proof, and just go cherry picking the comments that fit your own agenda. That is not critical thinking, it is bias tunnel vision.
-
So you lost your argument about the MCAS, so now have to result to deflection. At no stage in this thread have I said there are not problems with Boeing, that is what this thread is about, the problems that have lead up to any prosecution. What I do is post up to date facts and articles. I don’t embarrass myself with conspiracy rants, like the two “wingnuts” that continue to try to hijack the thread.
-
55555 so you now choose to ignore the experts that wrote your link, and pick the comments, from an anonymous poster that fits your agenda. Once again you do not include the reply from the expert to that comment. “Certainly not going to argue with you there, sir. The system was flawed. I guess the point of the podcast that I had posted (which is what ultimately lead to my reddit post) was not to divert blame from Boeing, but to highlight that it takes a chain of events to cause a crash. Flawed as it may be, the MCAS alone should not have caused a crash.” You have proved once again you have zero credibility or understanding, just driven by your own agenda not the real facts. Your own link and the accident report of the Max 8 crashes, posted previously, shows that the MCAS did not cause the crashes. Doing your own research does not mean finding a comment, 5 years old, that meets your view and then keep repeating, stating only you know the truth, it requires critical analysis, which your tunnel vision prevents. Bye and thanks again for proving me right. It is pointless trying to discuss with someone that never accepts real facts.

“At 08:00, July 9, Pol. Lt. Col. Anucha Netjinda, duty officer at Bang Rakam Police Station, received a report of a motorcycle accident involving a fall into a borehole near Ban Huai Chan School, Tha Nang Ngam Subdistrict, Bang Rakam District, Phitsanulok Province. The police coordinated with the Prasat Boonsathan Rescue Foundation for an investigation. The accident occurred near the entrance to Huai Chan Village, Moo 5, Tha Nang Ngam Subdistrict. At the scene, a blue Honda Dream motorcycle, was found fallen near the mouth of a borehole about 40 centimeters above the ground. Nearby, a single blue sandal was found. Upon inspecting the borehole, which was 8-10 meters deep, another blue sandal was seen floating. Rescue workers, suspecting the driver had fallen into the borehole, sent a diver to search underwater. At a depth of about 4 meters, the body of Mr. Sanam (surname withheld), 72, was found with his head submerged at the bottom of the borehole. Mr. Surin (surname withheld), the deceased’s nephew-in-law, who reported the incident, said he had planned with his uncle to take ducks to the field. The uncle rode his motorcycle, while the workers drove a motorised cart. When Mr. Surin arrived, he saw the motorcycle fallen and, upon investigation, realised his uncle had fallen into the borehole. Seeing the depth and amount of water, he quickly called for rescue assistance. Mr. Surin mentioned that his uncle was not a fast rider and was familiar with the route. That day, the uncle was also carrying duck eggs, which made him drive more carefully. The cause of the accident remains unclear. The police have sent the body to Naresuan University Hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death before releasing it to the family for traditional funeral rites.” https://workpointnews.com/around/news/NM9UEAQ

Report in Thai media, giving updated details. “An accident occurred on Kanchanaphisek Ring Road at km 58+700 heading towards Bang Na, where a pig transport truck lost control and rear-ended a container truck. The collision resulted in one fatality and four injuries. Rescue teams from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation arrived with cutting equipment to assist the victims. The truck driver, identified as Mr. Amphol, 59, was trapped against the vehicle's dashboard. Among the injured was young Phanyada, who was stuck in the back seat and cried out for help, asking rescuers not to leave her and to hold her hand. Her twin sister managed to exit the vehicle safely, but their grandmother, who was also in the car, did not survive. The surviving victims were transported by ALS Erawan Station to Princ Hospital Suvarnabhumi. Preliminary investigations revealed that the pig transport truck, belonging to Thai Siam Farm Co., Ltd., was en route to deliver pigs to a factory when it collided with the container truck. According to Mr. Akhom Dechanantrat, a rescuer from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation, they found one deceased woman and three severely injured individuals, including the driver and the twin girls. The rescuers worked swiftly to extricate Phanyada, who was trapped with her leg stuck between the front and back seats, and transported all the injured to the hospital for treatment.” https://workpointnews.com/around/news/N5P0RE8

A 5 year old post on reddit, but a good read. Have you actually read it, as it clearly supports my opinion that the MCAS system was not the cause of the crash. It highlights the poor standard of maintenance when replacing the Angle of Attack (AOA) vane, and pilot training, see the quotes, from your link. A - “The captain's flight display was simultaneously indicating both an overspeed and an underspeed situation while he was still rolling down the runway. Whether or not he should have kept the aircraft on the ground after seeing that.” B - “After a pilot has performed the actions by memory, they would open the checklist and verify that all items were accomplished. Here is the Boeing 737 Runaway Stabiliser checklist. Item 5 reads: If the runaway continues after the autopilot is disengaged: STAB TRIM CUTOUT switches ..... CUTOUT This alone would have likely saved Lion Air flight 610.” C - “The problem came when he transferred controls to the first officer, who by many accounts was under-experienced and under-trained. The amount of counter-input that the captain was making was but a fraction of what the first officer was inputting. Because of this, the airplane eventually added enough nose-down trim to where the pilots could not pull back hard enough to recover. The reasons for transferring the controls to the first officer are still unclear.” D - ”There is a reason why countries with proper maintenance and pilot training do not experience plane crashes. In fact, that was my entire reason for posting this. I wanted to highlight that any airplane is safe to fly so long as it's operated at a high level of training and scrutiny.” So thank you for finally admitting you were wrong and clearly have no idea what you were ranting about. As your own link says “Hear it from the experts: The real reason the 737 MAX crashed” will you now believe the facts?

Train collision in Phichit leaves five dead, two injured
Georgealbert replied to webfact's topic in Central Thailand News
This video is the best I can find, it was a legal crossing with no barrier, but warning signs and signals. “Train driver Mr. Pinij Waisotikan and train attendant Mr. Nares Mandee recounted that they were departing Phichit Station for Phitsanulok when the pickup truck suddenly crossed the unguarded railway crossing. Despite sounding the train’s horn, the collision was unavoidable.” Video edit from this Thai news link. https://www.fm91bkk.com/newsarticle/33025#google_vignette RPReplay_Final1720507399.mov -

July 8, 18:30, Police Lieutenant Pitsanupol Yodkrahom, an investigator at Muang Phichit Police Station, reported a tragic accident involving a train and a pickup truck at the railway crossing in Pak Thang Subdistrict, Muang District, Phichit Province. The collision resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries. Upon investigating the scene, authorities found the northbound Train No. 201, traveling from Bangkok to Phitsanulok, stopped about 50 meters away from the site of the crash. A black Nissan Navara pickup truck, registered in Phichit, was struck by the train and thrown off the tracks. Inside the pickup, three women were found dead on the spot, and four others were injured. Rescue workers transported the injured to Phichit Hospital, where two more women succumbed to their injuries, raising the death toll to five. Initial investigations revealed that the train had left Phichit Station around 18:00 after its regular passenger stop and was en route to Phitsanulok. At the unguarded railway crossing, the pickup truck attempted to cross the tracks and was hit by the oncoming train, which led to the severe accident. Train driver Mr. Pinij Waisotikan and train attendant Mr. Nares Mandee recounted that they were departing Phichit Station for Phitsanulok when the pickup truck suddenly crossed the unguarded railway crossing. Despite sounding the train’s horn, the collision was unavoidable. https://www.fm91bkk.com/newsarticle/33025#google_vignette Pictures from responders.

Thai media reported. July 8, Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt visited the Pho Alley community to inspect the area and offer support to local officials. He addressed claims that Bangkok's fire hydrants were located 500 meters away from the fire site, stating that this information is inaccurate. Governor Chadchart highlighted that the first fire hydrant is situated across the entrance to Pho Alley, approximately 30 meters from the fire site. Walking further into the alley, he pointed out a second hydrant, only 10 meters from the origin of the fire. Additionally, a third hydrant is located at Pho Place Hotel, around 70 meters from the fire. The closest hydrant could not be used due to its proximity to the fire and the collapse of a nearby house. Therefore, the fire hydrants in the community were adequate and not an issue in this incident. The community also has 20 fire extinguishers, exceeding the standard requirement of one extinguisher per five households, as there are 69 households in the area. However, the rapid spread of the fire made using the extinguishers ineffective. Governor Chadchart further noted that Pho Alley community underwent fire evacuation training earlier this year as part of a program for dense communities. This year, 370 communities have been trained to ensure preparedness and awareness of evacuation routes and assembly points during emergencies. "In addressing and managing such situations, we aim to improve our efforts and extend these practices to other communities like Sampheng and Khlong Thom. Prevention, accurate cause analysis, and community readiness are crucial. Bangkok is open to all suggestions for further improvements," stated Governor Chadchart.

Bangkok Fire Service has a number of the ATV mini fire trucks, see below, for access in narrow streets/alleys. The deployment in this fire would have not help, as these mini trucks can only provide an initial first aid fire fighting attack, while hose-lines are put in place to support that initial attack. This was a fast developing spreading fire, far beyond the capability of the ATVs, and they would probably have been an hindrance if deployed in the narrow alleyways, blocking both means of escape for fleeing residents and access for responders with larger hose-lines. This fire was contained by large volumes of water, through multiple hose-lines, and would have benefited from the use of aerial appliances, such as turntable ladders or ALPs (aerial ladder platforms). Responders were forced to use hose-lines from neighbouring buildings to apply water from above ground level.
