July 8, Fire Investigation in Trok Pho Community, Bangkok. Forensic police have identified the origin of a recent fire and it is believed to have started on the second floor of a wooden house. Evidence collected includes a spirit house, electrical appliances, and wiring. Initial findings indicate no signs of an electrical short circuit or arson. Today, forensic officials visited the site to collect evidence for scientific analysis to determine the cause of the fire. Pol. Lt. Gen. Trirong Piwphan, Commissioner of the Forensic Police, confirmed the second-floor origin of the fire, which aligns with witness statements. Following the collection of crucial evidence, it will be analysed to uncover the fire's cause and then handed over to the investigation team for further case development. Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt, during his inspection of the Trok Pho community, noted that the community had about 20 fire extinguishers installed, matching the population size. However, the rapid spread of the fire prevented their use. Fortunately, prior fire evacuation training enabled residents to escape safely. https://www.thaipbs.or.th/news/content/341837

Thai PM Pledges Major Upgrades for Key Airports
Georgealbert replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The PM is talking about redefining the airspace, back to Category 1 status, because in June 2015, ICAO flagged the country with a Significant Safety Concern (SSC) label for failing to maintain international standards. Two months later, the FAA downgraded Thailand to Category 2 over similar concerns. ICAO lifted the red flag against Thailand in 2017, paving the way for Thai carriers to expand their international networks; however, the FAA downgrade remains in place. The next FAA inspection is in a few months, so yes it is up for international discussion. The Convention on International Civil Aviation, Article 1, states, The contracting States recognise that every State has complete and exclusive sovereignty over the air-space above its territory. Thailand’s airspace is under the control of the Thai government, same as any country. The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) is the responsible authority for the supervision and maintaining Air Traffic Services in the area of responsibility of the Kingdom of Thailand in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) standards, recommended practices and procedures, namely, Annex 2 - Rules of the Air Annex 11 - Air Traffic Services Doc 4444 - Procedures for Air Navigation Services – Air Traffic Management (PANS – ATM) Doc 8168 - Procedures for Air Navigation Services – Aircraft Operations (PANS-OPS) Doc 7030 - Regional Supplementary Procedures Air Traffic services are provided for the entire territory of the Kingdom of Thailand, including its territorial waters as well as the airspace over the high seas within the Bangkok FIR (Flight Information Region). The following types of services are provided by CAAT, Flight Information Services (FIS) and Alerting Service (ALRS); Area control service; and Radar service. -

55555 So still unable to accept the facts. How does this change anything from 2021 when the sweetheart deal was done? So Biden is to blame for the DoJ now, but your hero Trump had nothing to do with the original FPA. 🤡 Try this real fact for the paranoid ‘wingnut’ in his own alternative reality, it was the Trump administration that in 2021 that gave Boeing the deferred prosecution agreement, the DoJ were ready to prosecute, but prevented by the administration. Pointless debating with anyone who refuses to accept facts and are delusional in believing only they have the real facts.

Video of the incident, shows that the truck had left the road, hit a left hand crash barrier, before travelling along the grass/mud verge. As the truck tried to get back onto the road it hit the other truck, and the damage to the cab suggests that the truck was still travelling at some speed. Given the damage caused it is amazing that 2 persons survived this impact. Safe video on the scene. My Movie 1.mp4

Thai media update on the fire investigation. “Police Lieutenant General Trirong Piewphan, Commissioner of the Central Institute of Forensic Science, spent over an hour inspecting the site. He noted that the houses were closely built, with a mix of wooden and concrete structures. Initial investigations have narrowed down the point of origin of the fire, aided by witness testimonies, including video footage from a tourist. “The suspected point of origin is a cluster of several houses. Due to structural instability and heavy debris, further inspections are required,” said Lt. Gen. Trirong. Forensic and chemical-physics investigation teams are collecting electrical equipment and data from the site. The area believed to be the fire’s origin will need more thorough examination. There were social media reports suggesting the fire started in a sweet shop undergoing renovations. Lt. Gen. Trirong explained that while the exact house is still unidentified, it is within a group of 3-4 houses. Detailed inspections will follow, including debris removal by the police and rescue teams. As evidence collection continues, some areas still emit smoke due to the hot weather and wind, requiring repeated water application by firefighters. Authorities will assess safety before allowing residents to enter to retrieve their belongings. Lt. Gen. Trirong emphasized the priority of gathering evidence promptly to enable investigators and ensure residents’ safety before restoring access to the affected area.” https://workpointnews.com/around/news/NV779YG
