Kanchanaburi, July 3, a 70-year-old American man tragically lost his life in a house fire that broke out in Ban Huakruai, Moo 4, Tha Lo Sub-district, Tha Muang District. The incident was reported to Tha Muang Police Station at 01:30. Local police coordinated with the Tha Lo Municipality to dispatch fire trucks to the scene and requested support from the Khun Rattanawut Foundation volunteers. The fire originated in one of three single-story adjacent houses. The structure abd wooden components, allowed the flames to spread rapidly. Firefighters worked swiftly, taking about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control and prevent it from spreading to neighboring homes. Upon extinguishing the flames, authorities discovered the charred remains of a man inside the house. The victim was identified as Stephen, an approximately 70-year-old American. The presence of numerous tools around the scene suggested that he might have worked as a tradesman. A neighbour reported hearing a loud explosion around 01:00, followed by the rapid spread of the fire, prompting them to alert the authorities immediately. Stephen's American friend and his wife arrived at the scene and provided additional information. Stephen had been living in the house with his Filipina wife, aged around 50, who worked as a language teacher in Bangkok. Two days prior, Stephen's wife had traveled back to her home country to visit family and was unreachable, leaving Stephen alone in the house. Preliminary investigations suggest that the explosion might have been caused by a paint can. However, police will conduct a detailed forensic examination to determine the exact cause of the explosion and proceed with legal actions accordingly. https://workpointnews.com/around/news/NJDPPK2 Pictures from responders.

Yes think you are right, something on the boom side broke off, and is seen falling in the video, I believe that unbalanced the crane and may have caused the counter weights arm to fall, pulling the crane’s concrete base out of the ground, then parts of the boom whip over the upright and smash into the office building. The full incident video shows that the 2 deaths, appear to be the crane operator (blanked out in picture above) who was thrown from the cab and hits the ground next to the cab and a worker in the office building who was crushed by the crane and collapsed building.

July 2, accident on Sukhumvit Road, Chanthaburi. The Sawang Katanyu Rescue Center in Chanthaburi received a report from the 191 emergency hotline about an accident on Sukhumvit Road (Route 3), in front of Denchan Tile Factory, Tha Mai District, Chanthaburi Province. Rescue volunteers were dispatched to the scene immediately. A white passenger van from Trat was found at the scene. The side of the van was severely damaged, with 7 passengers injured, including 1 foreign national in critical condition. A white 10-wheel Isuzu truck, from Samut Prakan was parked about 20 meters away from the impact site. Rescue personnel provided first aid to the critically injured passenger and transported them to Tha Mai Hospital. The remaining six passengers, who sustained minor injuries, were given first aid before being sent to nearby hospitals. Mr. Sompoch (Last Name Withheld), 49, van driver, stated that he was driving from Chonburi to drop off passengers at the Chanthaburi bus terminal. He had parked on the left shoulder of the road to deliver goods to a customer. While returning to his van, a truck coming from behind crashed into the back of his van, causing it to veer off the road, injuring all the passengers inside. Mr. Wanchai (Last Name Withheld), 10-Wheel Truck Driver, admitted that he saw the van parked on the roadside but, while checking his right mirror to view the traffic behind, lost control and crashed into the van. He managed to stop his truck about 20 meters from the accident site and immediately rushed to help the injured. A blue Honda Wave motorcycle, from Chanthaburi was also found in the ditch near the accident site. The motorcycle belonged to Mr. Jirakorn (Last Name Withheld), 51, a kebab vendor at Tha Mai market. He had come to collect the goods from the van. He reported that while he was closing the van's door, he saw the truck crash into the van. He narrowly escaped being hit by stepping back just in time. Police officers from Chanthaburi City Police Station and officials from the Chanthaburi Highway Department and the Provincial Transport Office arrived at the scene to investigate. They took photographs and interviewed witnesses to compile a report for further legal proceedings. https://workpointnews.com/around/news/NPKY9TN

BMW driver hits motorcycle, causing fatal crash in Pathum Thani
Georgealbert replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
It would appear that one victim was trapped under the car, which seems to match the eye witness statement, “I saw the motorcycle fall, with two injured people. I couldn't see the person lying under the car.” Picture of the response shows rescuers gaining access to one of the women under the car. -
Fire damages prototype tram in Khon Kaen vehicle yard
Georgealbert replied to snoop1130's topic in Isaan News
From the Thai media it was reported that “the Initial reports from security personnel indicated that smoke was seen emanating from the first carriage around midnight, followed by flames that spread quickly.” if it was arson, with more than one seat of fire, the forensic investigators should have no problems identifying that, from the depth and intensity of burning in those areas where any fires started and some indication will also be gained from burns patterns and the presents of possible accelerants in the carriages, which should not have been there. You would also hope that the area was covered by some CCTV. My concern would be if this is public transport, what are the fittings, linings, seats, etc. made of, if a fire can develop and spread so quickly. It is possible that the carriage was fully closed up and the smoke was only spotted as the fire got to flash over stage or the fire had been smouldering for ages, and something, such as glass panel failing, lead to a backdraft, or even a smoke explosion. Pure speculation.as csn only be determined from full investigation. -

Fire under Ramkamhaeng Airport Rail Link Station under control
Georgealbert replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Thai media update. “Mr. Bancha Suekpapan, Director of Suan Luang District, conducted an inspection at the site. He confirmed that the situation had returned to normal following the early morning fire. The fire affected shops on the first and second floors, totaling around 30 businesses. Although the building's structure remains sound, areas like escalators, elevators, and nearby electrical equipment sustained damage and are currently non-operational. Consequently, commuters using the Ramkhamhaeng Airport Link Station must use stairs temporarily. The cause of the fire is under forensic investigation. Suan Luang District authorities are coordinating with the building's owner, reportedly Airport Link Company Limited, to assess structural integrity. The station itself is operational, with only the escalators potentially damaged by heat, ensuring that train services during rush hour remain unaffected. Authorities are also registering affected vendors to devise compensation plans. Local vendors reported losses estimated in the hundreds of thousands of baht due to substantial stockpiles stored in their shops, especially with the end-of-month inventory buildup for anticipated high customer turnout. Initial compensation from the district is around 10,000 baht per shop. However, further assistance will depend on whether the building owner had insurance coverage.” -

On the evening of 30 June, residents, in a village outside Pattaya, reported a foul odour, resembling that of a decomposing body, in their neighbourhood. Concerned by the smell, coming from a dustbin, they alerted local rescue services to investigate the source. Upon arrival and after examination, the rescue team discovered that the odour was emanating from decomposed fish waste, not a human corpse as initially feared. Authorities stated, they have reassured the community that there is no cause for alarm and have taken steps to remove the source of the smell. This video, taken on the 30 June, after heavy rain, shows the rain water run off mixing with the remaining chemical waste. There is no ongoing testing, so it is unclear if this water is contaminated or not, and if it is causing further environmental damage, to the land and.waterways around the factory. Another rant and again no acceptance it was the Trump administration that allowed Boeing to escape their responsibilities. The DoJ was ready to prosecute before the administration handed them the DPA. But that does not fit your conspiracies and does not fit your political agenda, as you are blinded by your hero worship. I will now stop replying to you two, as all you are doing is hijacking the thread.

Fire sparks chaos: Lithium battery turns van to ashes in Chon Buri

You clearly fail to recognise in yourself that when you have no knowledge or understanding of the subject, it requires intelligence and intellectual capability to know and understand your own limit and capabilities. But you choose to continue blindly down your own rabbit hole, solely based on your conspiratorial tunnel vision and opinions. It is sad, but your own paranoid vision of reality and hatred, has blinked you from the truth and facts. Bye and have a good day, and remember your arrogance is a pool disguise of your total ignorance.
