  1. Perfect, thank you. I think this is my best option. Thanks everyone for your input.
  2. Thanks. The only other option I've seen is flat (suspended) ceiling tiles, maybe 2' square, that look like plasterboard. But I can't remember where I saw them, whether they can be bought singularly, or the thickness etc.
  3. A good option, thanks. I don't know about easier to work with though: cut with grinder / hacksaw? Brittle too. I've got loads of odd size and shaped holes to patch and don't want to create too much dust.
  4. Or the issue could be transport. Ever thought of that? Unless I can buy smaller, I was thinking to buy a whole sheet, cut it in half and leave half at the shop's trash bin. Got to be a non-windy day as I'll be on a motorcycle. That's why smaller would be better. It's not about money. At least you seem to confirm the thickness is 9mm.
  5. I call it plasterboard, you may call it sheetrock or drywall, but what sizes are available to buy here in TH? I've made a load of holes around the condo where I've fished cables around for a rewire, and now I want to start patching up and making good. I probably only need around half a sheet (1200mm x 1200mm (4'x4') ), but can you buy anything other than an 8x4 here? The thinner board is 9.5mm (3/8") in the UK, but did I read it's 9mm here? It doesn't matter, as long as its not thicker.
  6. I pay mine through Lazada. I don't have a Thai bank account, but my UK credit card (no foreign fees) is set up for Lazada. When I'm not in Thailand I usually pay every other month, just because the admin fee is as much as the no-use bill. I have the PEA app in my name.
  7. I'm just finishing a rewire on my condo too, but not even thinking about having it certificated, if it's even possible here. Just knowing it's safer is enough for me. Unless of course it's because you need a certificate for reselling or renting purposes?
  8. I use my phone too. How about buying a monitor that you could use as a screen for your phone? Probably cheaper than a new tablet and a new simcard/data plan (unless you plan to switch out your simcard every time). Another option is to use another navigation app. The one I use for example does not need to be online. You download the maps when at home on WiFi, then navigate offline. Great for when you're travelling where roaming charges are expensive, or where the phone signal is hit and miss.
  9. You don't know your music. "Too drink to <deleted>" "Viva Las Vegas" "California (uber alles)" "Kill the poor".........
  10. Fashion, or a religious statement?
  11. Did anyone else notice that when Leg end stopped, Fr ank took over, then when he stopped it was Th aibeach's turn. Has anyone seen them in the same room at the same time?
  12. 24 hours later.... I tried to call 1242 yesterday, but didn't hear what to press for the English option. She does say at the start of the recording (9 for English), but I missed it. I then queued up on the chat service which never ended up with an agent, even after leaving browser open and waiting for 2 hours at a time. Anyway, this morning, back on the phone, option 9, and it was answered quickly. Their reason: "you must have signed up to SMS promotions". I hadn't, or at least I hadn't knowingly. In fact when I was last here back in Oct I found out about *137 shortcode which did cancel the junk I had been receiving. I "lost" another 10.70 overnight, I haven't received any spam SMS messages, and I'm starting to regret getting off the phone without having these charges reimbursed. The only thing I can think of was when I activated this 30 day unlimited data etc package, that auto-signed me back up for the spam. Although I haven't received any spam for the nearly 30 days it's been running. Watch out for True!
  13. A bit confusing for me too.
  14. Very handy info, thank you. I do have lots of points so using them would be good. My validity is now until next Jan, I presume validity is only for a max of 1 year? Handy for future reference if that is the case.
  15. I've just worked out it was a 10.70 disappearance overnight. 2 x 5 baht plus vat? VAT is 7%?
  16. No, no usage that I can think of whatsoever, unless it's for incoming calls? Lazada call when they deliver something, but I don't always answer. Besides, the 2 top ups yesterday were within minutes of each other, yet 5 odd baht disappeared somewhere. Then overnight too another disappearing amount. Yes, probably have to call them, or visit their shop. On a side note, I cannot seem to buy validity through the app, hence why I do the top ups, but could I do that in the shop too? Might make my life a bit easier.
  17. I top up my True number by 50 baht at a time, which then extends my number's validity by another month (or 30 days). Yesterday I had a 49.49 balance, I topped up the first time (99.49), then a 2nd time, and my balance showed as 144.14, a 5.35 shortfall. This morning my first top up took my balance to 183.44. I then topped up 2 more times and it shows now my balance is 283.44. I'm towards the end of a 30 day package, unlimited data, and some calls and texts. I have not used my phone other than for data, so see no reason for my balance to be dropping. I've logged into the app to check usage, but it only shows January and it's not too detailed. Am I being charged for these smaller topups?
  18. Just to wrap this thread up, I wanted to say a big thank you to @billd766 The internals from his filter fitted perfectly inside my older model, once I had unscrewed the threaded disc in my base. A clean up, fresh ptfe and new filters: Then reassembled and back in the cupboard : Another job ticked off for the condo, and super happy to have kept 2 filters out of landfill. Mod: this thread can be closed. Thanks everyone.
  19. PM sent. Thank you for your very kind offer.
  20. Thanks again for posting. What would probably make sense is for me to propose to buy the parts you have, and then to make one good working filter out of what we have between us? That is presuming the top part of my housing fits on your base, or that your internals would adapt into my base. And you did say your filters are re-usable? Are you local to me, and would you be open to the idea?
  21. Thanks, but Google just throws up the same 2 places I already visited
  22. Yes, starting to think a change would be easier, but... The one you show is top fed, and needs to hang off a bracket. Mine is bottom fed, and conveniently sits on the cupboard base. Changing the pipework would be a pain as I would have to cut my pipework further up, before my main shut off valve. Anyway, agreed, it might be easier to source a whole new system than finding the specific filter to fit mine.
  23. It must have been my Internet connection as today I tried again, and then found a Line contact at the bottom of the page. I've been back and forth ing messages, and their final recommendation was this: The message which accompanied the picture said this: ไส้กรองน้ำแผ่นดิสก์ กล้วยหอม PURE ราคา 3500 บาทค่ะ And when Google Translated, means this: Banana PURE disc water filter, price 3,500 baht. To me it doesn't look like it will fit as the end part looks narrower than the threaded part on mine.
  24. On another note, I visited the shop yesterday on Thepprasit as mentioned earlier. Unfortunately they couldn't help, but I was pointed to a shop just up and along Sukhumvit a hundred metres or so, opposite the big Lotus. The guy there dug out a catalogue, and reckoned I would need one of these... They are special order, and because I wasn't wholly convinced they would fit, I didn't order there and then. At least now I know it seems, Pure have become Filtex.
