This is true and because of that I think the elites realize that the current system won't last as the older people die off. That's why there are all these facial recognition cameras, AI data centers, banking rules to remove all privacy and add a layer of control which will be the new way to maintain power. This was one of the strangest things in my introduction to Thai bureaucracy. Bangkok Bank insisted that the US embassy had to confirm that I actually was living at the Bangkok address. I kept telling them that there is no way the US embassy would investigate and confirm this to them, but they said other countries did and showed me a letter from the Malaysian embassy. So I went ahead and set up an appointment with the US embassy in Bangkok and got an "attestation" where you raise your right hand and swear that the information is correct. The form the embassy gives you literally says the information has not been validated, but Bangkok Bank was OK with it and I got my account.
