    If you drive without a valid license and have a accident the sh## may well hit the fan and you could be up for a lot of money,but decisions yours.

    I believe us Australians have a similar rule as the people from the US.I live off of my superannuation income pension account only at the moment as this is my only source of income and I must wait 6 years to obtain my OAP at 67 from the Australian government and is taxed in Australia so I won't be paying double tax.

    There are other places to holiday in Thailand than Phuket or Pattaya as it appears to be all out on foreigners at the moment. Try Hua Hin or Khon Kaen or Issan.

    It appears that if you want a British or Australian citizenship you must meet certain criteria.You must be a scammer,money launder,or some other illegal activity operator to be considered.

    Is it only me or does it appear that the Thai government are trying to slowly drive us expats out of the country and look for an alternative country to spend our money and final days.

    I would spend the money in Thai bank until i have reached 200,000 baht and send more as needed.Your money in your home country will no doubt probably earn more interest in your home country than Thailand.

    I just can't understand that the Thai government couldn't see the problems they would face by letting Chinese, Russians and Indians visa wave laws and they never learn by there mistakes. As usual Thailand government you made your bed and now because of greed you are now lying in it.

    Why not let them sort it out themselves and have a good laugh then put them Jail for 24 hours and fine them.The Thai government only have themselves to blame for all this terrible behavior,it may well get worse before better

    The Thai government should think about the consequences before acting,we have a severe water shortage but some brainless people think it's OK for Songkran to proceed.Try and explain the common sense in that please Thai government

    All Thailand is interested in is tourist and there money not quality,look at what the Russian, Swiss, British and Kiwis have been up to lately in the news.Thailand you made your own bed now you except the consequences.

    Some people never learn but when in Thailand you leave anything of value at home locked up unfortunately if you wear gold and a Rolex in many places you are a target.You can still have fun and look and feel respectable without valuable pieces dripping all over you.
