  1. Where do you get your so called truth? Care to post a few links to your "truth telling" information sources? This should be amusing.
  2. Ah Pattaya, attracting the best humanity has to offer. Seriously though, at least they are catching a few. What is disturbing is that for everyone of these sociopath nutjobs 10 slip through the cracks. The place makes my skin crawl. It was tolerable at one point, now getting to be ferkin open sewer. .. You take a stroll down Soi Bukaou these days and that's just what you smell.
  3. First he was "looking forward" to being there and then he dresses in blue. What a douche.
  4. Isn't it interesting that most of the MAGA / right-wing / Trump opponents here make these short, rather blunt posts often with slang and harsh criticism. Many calling people "dumb" or idiots etc. Often times their use of English lacks articulation and any rich vocabulary. Sorry, with respect, it's just fairly stereotypical as far as I have noticed.
  5. Labeling them as Fascist is one thing. BUT policies moving toward components of it's WELL UNDERSTOOD CHARACTERISTICS is quite another. This is what's concerning wouldn't you agree? Extreme Nationalism: Fascism emphasizes the supremacy of the nation, often coupled with a belief in national rebirth or greatness. This can manifest as a focus on a mythic past and the denigration of foreign influences. Authoritarianism: Fascist regimes are characterized by strong central control, often led by a single, charismatic leader with absolute power. Individual rights and freedoms are subordinate to the state. Militarism: Fascism exalts military virtues, such as discipline, obedience, and strength. Military power is seen as essential for national strength and expansion. Suppression of Opposition: Fascist regimes forcibly suppress political dissent and opposition. They often employ violence, intimidation, and censorship to maintain control. Social Hierarchy: Fascism promotes a belief in natural social hierarchies and the rule of elites. Equality is often rejected in favor of a system where certain groups are considered superior. Cult of the Leader: Fascist movements cultivate a cult of personality around their leader, who is often portrayed as an infallible figure capable of restoring the nation. Use of Propaganda and Symbolism: Fascist regimes heavily rely on propaganda to promote their ideology and create a sense of national unity. They often employ powerful symbols and imagery. Economic Control: While not strictly adhering to one economic model, fascist regimes typically exert strong control over the economy, often in partnership with powerful business interests, to serve national goals. Labor unions are often suppressed. Scapegoating: Fascist movements often identify scapegoats or enemies (e.g., minorities, foreigners, liberals, communists) to unify their followers and divert blame from the regime's failures.
  6. Listen, no time to go back to school my friend. Just because a political party has "socialist" in the name doesn't make it a socialist party. What is much more significant and that which goes to define the Nazi party were their actions and policies. You really must do some homework other than watching your Youtube right-wing channels.
  7. Yes, exactly. This latest move toward protectionism as Trump has enacted with Tariffs and the like is a push towards Nationlism. It is most certainly not a move toward globalism and Internationalism a move toward behaving in harmony with the International Community.
  8. Now you are only exposing your ignorance. If you can't ad anything really meaningful to the conversation, maybe just bow out ok?
  9. Let's put this misunderstanding to rest. If you want to make any kind of meaninful contribution to the conversation DO NOT PARROT Fox News or News Max or any of this right-wing biased propaganda they spew. While fascism had some initial connections to left-wing movements and incorporated certain collectivist ideas, it fundamentally diverged and evolved into a far-right, authoritarian, and ultranationalist ideology. Fascism's core tenets, such as extreme nationalism, militarism, suppression of opposition, and belief in a natural social hierarchy, are distinctly different from the core principles of left-wing ideologies like socialism and communism, which typically emphasize internationalism, egalitarianism, and social justice.
  10. Yea Hitler and Mussolini were the original socialist's LOL!! 🤣
  11. Ah, now I see we have a realist chiming in! Curious as to why this particular article shows a picture of two blonde Russian gals NOT SMILING? Are they unhappy about the baht rate? Do they even care? What say you ladies? Is that baht rate bothering you?
  12. I know it is discouraged to criticize Tiger news but this is absolutely not a "weak" Baht rate. I was here all last year when at one point the Baht was over 38 to the dollar. Now that is weak baht. 33.5 / USD is a strong Baht rate. I would still travel back to LOS with a 33.5 rate but my dollars won't go as far as it did in all of 2024
  13. Absolutely wrong. Where in the hell did you get that idea? Fox News 🤣🤣 It was spearheaded by Musolini, find me any reliable source that describes Facism as "left-wing" Respectfully, did you even take the time to read this very well established definition? Look it up in any dictionary LOL!!
  14. So, in case you didn't know it. Most all search Internet engines will give a good answer. Here is one which serves to define it pretty well. (It is no accident many are calling Trumps political moves and action a push towards Facism with him in the leadership role) ChatGPT / Gemini AI answer: Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian ultra-nationalist political ideology and movement, characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, a belief in a natural social hierarchy, and the subordination of individual interests for the perceived well-being of the nation. Here are some key characteristics of fascism: Extreme Nationalism: Fascism emphasizes the supremacy of the nation, often coupled with a belief in national rebirth or greatness. Fascism arose in the early 20th century, gaining prominence in Europe, most notably in Italy under Benito Mussolini and in Germany under Adolf Hitler. These regimes shared the core tenets of fascism but also had distinct characteristics. Italian Fascism, for example, emphasized the restoration of Roman greatness, while Nazism in Germany was characterized by extreme racial ideology and antisemitism.
  15. Factual evidence LOL! from the latest youtube channel put up by a 16 year kid living in his Moms basement. 🤣 I should be dead already if this BS was true. I've been jabbed quite a lot over the years and avoided 1)Polio 2)Tetanus 3) Hepatitis 4) Pneumonia 5) Covid 19 (5 jabs) 6) Common Flu each year for 20 --7) Shingles I can't remember the rest but they are numerous. I've not been sick in over a year. Last time I did get sick I missed a flu vaccine. Vaccine Conspiracy theorists are some of the more rancid forces and crazy aZZ voices taking down modern society.
  16. Interesting, well then the report makes a bit more sense, but is still quite a dismal reality given that the people who actually need to NOT be addicted to drugs the most are. I suppose this is true throughout the world though and a by product of poverty. Very unfortunate for many.
  17. If the conscripts are a random selection of male Thais, this doesn't bode well for the society at large, at least the lower or middle classes. This means that a hell of a lot of Thai males are on drugs period. I have a feeling these figures are not accurate.
  18. Getting rid of receipts is a huge cost savings for 7-11, BUT they should give one on request IMHO. I like the no receipt deal because it is very environmentally responsible. The exception is when I make larger purchases I want to make sure I get the discounts and the items were priced correctly. Sometimes I'll try to catch it on the POS digital display but 1 out of 10 times at 7-11 something is messed up. Either the discount or promotion isn't applied or the cashier makes a mistake and scans an item twice.
  19. This sophomore Trump has no idea how to lead the most powerful nation on Earth in the global community. He's about as far away from a diplomat as you can get. An OK businessman, perhaps, but with failed casino's in his wake I think not. An experienced diplomat in the world stage? No way.
  20. Look between your legs and add two inches. Therein lies your answer.
  21. Wait, who is still getting 60 days VISA free entry? Didn't it return to 30 already? That was the news last month right LOL!! Didn't the 60 day visa free end? I thought it did least for US citizens and a slew of other countries. It was 30+30 extension for the longest time then went to 60+30 ext start of high season last year right? Didn't they just change it back to 30+30? ... wow the never ending merry go round of Thailand immigration policies. Just show up and take what they give you.
  22. That being said, one has to live within the situation at hand. Thais are gonna talk about you and refer to you as a Farang. ( they do it right in front of you sometimes) If someone chooses to live in Thaland than, again, it's gonna take a lot of patience and tolerance along with making some effort to learn the culture and some of the language to have the best experience IMHO I'm not fluent and cannot read or write but I do OK in simple conversation and have made an attempt to blend in and understand to operate within the culture. Generally speaking my experience has been pretty good. I've been able to live cheap in some nice places and enjoy life in Thailand.
  23. Perhaps I have offended. If so I apologize. In the other thread there were quite a few punters that seemed to be quite offended about being labeled "Farang". I maintain that if a person lives in a foreign country that it takes WORK to gain respect of it's citizens.. Expats are guests in Thailand but it seems many expats have bad experiences here because they are arrogant and think Thais should adjust to them when in reality they should WORK and TAKE ACTION to learn the culture, speak the language and show respect to their hosts. I have personally had a pretty good experience as an expat in Thailand. It takes tolerance and a lot of patience and understanding. Something quite a few punters on this board seem to lack. You want a good living experience in LOS? Take some time to learn the culture and language. Simple.
  24. It's helpful to know your native language first, IMHO. What I said is I can do business like rent an apartment from a Thai person who speaks very little English. In other words friend, I can speak that much Thai. I can also have a conversation with most Thais and get to know them, their work, family, friends, travel etc. Most important. I know enough Thai to have them help me learn more. This I found to be very valuable.
