  1. Probably Japanese and Swedish are the best.
  2. Lots of Thai women have experiences with women. Very common. They don't think much of it. Westerners are much more closed minded.
  3. If attitudes were more like Thailand then yes many more would engage in different practices. West has lots more bigotry.
  4. Truth hurts too much then.
  5. So you profited from powerful unions to pay for your overseas lifestyle where the locals get exploited. Then you rarely tip or very little. If you cared about the workers give out large tips each time. You are either helping them or just exploiting them.
  6. You moved from a high priced heavy union country to a low priced non union country to live. If Thailand had the same unions and prices it wouldn't be attractive and you wouldn't move there. So you took advantage of western unions for work to retire to Thailand where workers are exploited. So really you just played the system for your own benefit.
  7. Union bosses are usually awful people. You saw that first hand.
  8. Don't go looking for love. Just enjoy your life.
  9. Try Hua Hin, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. 2 weeks each.
  10. He likes to clean floors instead so he said.
  11. Learn how to drive would be a good idea.
  12. Depends what you call interesting. No beaches, no mountains, 50km to the nearest point of interest.
  13. We all want money and to look good. That is how life is. Do your thinking with your brain not your organs and all will be fine. Learn how to say no.
  14. Aren't all humans just humans? No need for labels. Just call people by their chosen name. Thai people nearly always have nicknames and foreigners often do or just regular names.
  15. Do Thai ladies use the word Handsome? I don't think so.
  16. If you can't tell a man from a woman it's not her fault.
  17. Usually 2 to 10 pages then put it down and wonder why I bought it.
  18. Condos sometimes lose value as well if not in a prime location. Renting is better. Usually most people aren't 100% sure of their retirement plans so you aren't alone. Health and deaths of friends can totally change your requirements. I would stop worrying about it. Just enjoy each month as it comes.
  19. Are there dedicated ladyboy bars or do they all mix in with other ladies? I thought they just mixed in and the bars are in red light areas.
  20. It is a nice city however I can see what you are saying. Nowhere seems ideal. Hua Hin lacks great international food. Chiang Mai polluted for 3 months. Bangkok too busy. Pattaya beaches not up to scratch and busy. Phuket too many Russians, too developed. Maybe moving is the best option.
  21. The Room Hua Hin Residence looks good. Has a rooftop pool and looks like a good gym. Nearby is King of Muay Thai which is an amazing gym.
  22. Two of those hotels had quiet pools and one had both a quiet pool and gym. I used the gym 3 days in a row and only saw 1 other person in it. I could live there for months. You will never find a perfect condo or hotel.
  23. Any view is fine. Prefer gym and pool or at least a quiet pool.
  24. I sent you some ideas. I'm looking at some other locations now. Would love to know a good place on Koh Pha Ngan.
  25. I could but they are easy to find on your own. The pool and gym were fine, the bathroom was badly designed though. There was another at 650 baht, better gym and pool but ridiculous shower bathtub set up that was almost dangerous. I nearly broke some glass. The room was large, pool huge and good gym but shower was so bad decided to move elsewhere. The best room/gym/pool combo ended up costing 690 or 800 with breakfast. Monthly 12,000.
