    It is so great you choose not to live there. That's because it's not much good.

    Hua Hin has beaches and mountains. Bangkok has great food. Chiang Mai has great food and mountains. Kanchanaburi has nice rivers and waterfalls. Isaan has dust then more dust then a few ruins.

    Condos are great if quiet with good gym and pool. Even better if you have good shops and restaurants nearby. Isaan is a dust bowl with very little to do.

    Isaan is fairly polluted and there are no beaches or mountains. Walking around Central mall would be the highlight of the day.

    Far less traffic than Chiang Mai, Phuket or Pattaya. Hua Hin seems quiet in comparison. Those other places have lots of traffic on different roads.

    Does Cha-am have any proper shopping centres?

    Having to move from the beach to Isaan.

    I was there 3 weeks ago. There is some traffic but nothing like Bangkok. The inland roads have very little traffic. At night the roads are all quiet.

    Not much traffic at all with the bypass road.

    It is all movement. Walk to a restaurant and back. Swim at the beach and walk the sand. Movement is always good for you.

    Gym, beach, eating, walking, live music. Chess and snooker are just lazy activities that do nothing for you.

    Hua Hin is better now than ever. More gyms, more hotels and really not many people. There is less to do in Cha-am.

    About as exciting as moping a floor and I'm good at snooker. Just very boring waste of time activities. Chess and snooker must be the worst retirement activities ever.

    They can live their dreams. Holiday every year or twice a year. Have your cake and eat it to.

    Beating a computer set on level 1 and beating drunks at snooker how amazing.

    That's good, less people on the beach and in the gyms. Paradise.

    Hua Hin has a nice beach in the centre of town. Can walk there.

    It is 53km from Pattaya. Entirely different area and not part of Pattaya.

    I left out drugs, traffic, pollution and a rocky beach you drive to.

    Do you swim with the people or the rocks?

    Do you feel the need to be around alcoholics and lots of noise?
