Buying ten drinks?
Seriously, that is expensive from my experience. In massage shops around Pattaya, I usually would pay 500-600 all in for massage with happy ending and that would include a grope around with her. They almost always start asking for more but after I've convinced them I'm not wealthy, they usually agree to my terms. For the full Monty I pay anything from 800-1200 all in. The best value and experiences are often found with the 35-50 year olds that are still attractive and not overweight. Don't go near bars, they're not fun anymore and the constant harassing for expensive lady drinks is a real turn off for me.

Vanguard mutual funds no longer available to non US residents
One of the main reasons in wanting to invest in US ETFs from Thailand is to use funds already in Thailand with the purpose of giving them to my half Thai son when I feel the time is right. I had thought of opening a joint account with him when he is 18 next year. I expect there would be more than $60000 to invest.

Do you buy "Lady Drinks", and if so, why?
In years gone by, lady drinks weren't really the norm, instead the girls would 'take care" in the hope that you might take them home and the bar was happy that you were spending money in their place. As more farangs came to Thailand and some even "bought" bars and realized they could do very well out of lady drinks, plus the increasing difficulty getting enough girl's meant that lady drinks were pushed more and so the girls and the bar could earn more money. There are some girls who can earn 1000b plus per night just on lady drink commissions so no need to go with some undesirable dude and be abused. Unfortunately now it's all become a bit mercenary and not my scene at all. Each to their own I suppose

Options for investing Thai baht
Did you open an account with them from Thailand? I had planned to open an account with them from their Bangkok base to invest in some US etf's ect, using funds already in Thailand I would like to add my half Thai son to the account and then when he is old enough or I die, transfer the holdings to him. I am a UK citizen but would want to use my Thai address for this. Are there likely to be any problems doing this?

Rule change at Jomtien immigration for extensions by condo owners
I think the fact you're using an agent should mean no visits or any of the other BS. They want us using agents as they get a hefty fee for that I have only recently made enquiries to agents about renewing my retirement extension and one office I visited said don't worry about a TM30 as she would tell immigration where I was staying, so I don't think the blue books or chanoote copies will be needed if using an agent
