For the past 7 years I'm looking for a hotel in Bangkok (anywhere) and for a hotel in a Pattaya (under 15 minutes from beach) that will accept me with a 10+ Kg dog. In 7 years I have zero. -
Where to buy bricks (boxes) to make a retaining wall?
AnotherOneHere replied to AnotherOneHere's topic in DIY Forum
All they have is this regular brick, which is too thin and you can't stick rebar through because one side is blind. -
I want to build a retaining wall and I need bricks of this type. So I can stick rebar through and fill it with concrete. Unfortunately there are nowhere to be found. I drove to every local shop selling construction stuff, I visited every big shops like ThaiWatsadu, Global House, HomePro ... . Nothing. All they have are regular thin bricks. Anybody knows where could I get them? Nakhon Phanom - Sakhon Nakhon - Udon Thani area.

What makes life in Thailand still so great?

Yes indeed. It almost sounds too good to be true what is he claiming about himself in the posts on this forum. He is such a lucky guy! -
So was Mother Teresa.

Wow, your relationship is such an inspiration! 👍 My ultimate goal is to live in a house I own with my wife just like you two. Falling asleep next to each other every night just like you. Having someone I can trust who never leaves me. Sharing our financial success together. You're so lucky. You're literally living every persons dream. ☺️ -

Thank you for another pointless post in a thread full of pointless posts. 🏆 🏆 🏆 Like I said in my initial post I'm already using this SIM card in my phone and want to buy a router to use it as a home internet. 60 replies concerned if I have good reception, recommendations to use hotspot, recommending me different SIM cards .... everything but a recommendation of a router.

I painted my work room with two part epoxy. It seems to be extremely durable. But I can imagine it can get slippery while wet (no problem indoors). https://www.lazada.co.th/products/toa-100-2-epoxy-coating-toa-floorguard-100-part-ab-3785-i4378851938-s17443601149.html For outside concrete I'm currently considering this product "Skid Grip Anti-Slip Coating", but I didn't try it yet and I can't seem to find it for sell (or alternative) in a Thailand. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/toa-100-2-epoxy-coating-toa-floorguard-100-part-ab-3785-i4378851938-s17443601149.html

Do people get island fever living on an island?
AnotherOneHere replied to susanlea's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
As I see it: Thai people living on islands are getting compensated for very high local prices by selling their work/products for inflated price. Farangs don't. They just pay high local prices. -
Sounds crazy, but not much about it: My German shepherd tore my arms to shreds as a puppy, then an unvaccinated stray dog I recently took home licked my wounds (rabies transfer from saliva to wound ...). While driving my dogs on a motorcycle sidecar, other dogs chased us (a daily occurrence), and one bit my leg for no reason at all. I took another stray dog home, and about a week later, while still unvaccinated, he accidentally snagged me while we were playing.
-
Why not getting vaccinated after getting bite? I did it 3 times while here and there was no problem with that, 5000 baht for all 5 doses at private hospital. Also each region has a different strain of rabies, getting vaccinated in other country means you're not getting the most effective vaccine.

I have this SIM in my telephone lazada link (unlimited internet for 1 year for 2650 Baht) and it works great. Bu at the home I'm using a normal internet package from AIS for 650 Baht/month which has problems and is more expensive. And I want to switch to SIM internet event at my home. Can somebody recommend me some SIM router that is compatible with this SIM, with Thailand and where I don't run into some issues for misusing this SIM card?

Your nephew is a surgeon in Australia, and he lets you live on social security without any help at your age. If this were in Thailand, he would financially take care of you, at least partially, and wouldn't let you live like you're living. That's how Thai families work—they help each other when someone is financially successful, and other family members are not. That's the main difference. And one bad example in the news does not mean much.
