Dresden Evacuates City Centre After Discovery of 250kg WWII Bomb
I went to an education centre about this when I was in Cambodia a few years ago. The answer to your question is "no". The guide said the number of mines and other unexploded items are in the millions. A couple of links: https://www.halotrust.org/where-we-work/asia/cambodia/ https://the-monitor.org/country-profile/cambodia/impact A search on Google "cambodia land mines" gets a lot more info. Hope this helps to answer your question.

Outrage as Foreign Tourist Kicks Dog at Da Nang Spa
I thought it's called "tenderising"? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meat_tenderizer Slightly more seriously, this is disgusting. That dog seems to have done absolutely nothing to deserve this.

Commuter Fakes Disability to Skip Ticket Line, LRT-1 Probes
When I was a child and I cried for no reason, my parents would say "I'll give you something to cry about". Just wondering whether this guy should be given a reason to need to use that priority lane... Just joking folks...

Pattaya music festival
I understand what you are saying, I don't like restaurant/post office queues either. That said, I've been to big music festivals (100k plus people) and where I live can be pretty crowded. But I don't seem to mind that too much.

Businessman in Coma After ฿480k Nose Surgery
All surgery involving anaesthesia has risks. I guess the cosmetic clinic will have had the guy sign some kind of waiver? Most important of course, I hope he fully recovers.

UK MPs Reject Social Media Ban for Under-16s
Classic UK political compromise. But, there is this provision (my quoted text above). If the UK keeps assessing the evidence and feedback from other countries, and then acts decisively based on that evidence and feedback, then this might be the best solution at this time.

28m baht for Myanmar victims in Thai collapsed building
So much could be said about this, but to me this seems pretty fast compared to western standards and the payments are funded by some of those responsible. Not a good news story of course, but this seems one tiny forward step.

I just saw the girl I’m dating working on pattaya beach road
During my first visit to Hua Hin I got chatting with a very nice bar girl. I'd seen her dropped off by her boyfriend/husband so I chose to avoid any shenanigans. I regret that now, she was really very nice.

I just saw the girl I’m dating working on pattaya beach road
For my first time in Pattaya I joined TF. I had a lot of fun. Every woman I chatted with then agreed to meet up with was honest enough to say they were it in for the money. To be fair, I was expecting to chat with freelancers so I was not surprised.

Drone Strike Rekindles Cyprus Debate Over UK Military Bases
I only did a quick search, but I couldn't find any polling that indicates a majority of Cypriots are against the UK bases in Cyprus (or 'for' of course). I totally understand that Cypriots are concerned about being a target. Even if it's only the bases that are hit, there are still Cypriots who work there or live close by. It's not clear to me that Cyprus has the defensive capability to protect itself if the UK goes (I've already commented on the UK's response to this conflict elsewhere). Not sure, if the UK goes, what the general threat is to Cyprus either. Generally, I'd have thought having these bases there are good for the Cypriot economy (employment, service personnel spending in the local community, service industries). So, setting the current issues aside, the small number of protestors should probably be ignored by the Cypriot government.

US eases sanctions on Russian oil sales to India
This is to do with the Iranian conflict. But of course this simply further funds the Russian aggression in Ukraine. Really? WTF? US allows India to buy Russian oil during US-Israel war w...Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent gives India a 30-day waiver to buy Russian crude as a "stop gap measure".

US did not share details with the UK before attacking Iran
Exactly. I reckon most of us on AN could predict that there was going to be some sort of strike on Iran, and that Iran has drones and missiles aplenty. Quite how Starmer et al could think they didn't need to provide defensive protection to Akrotiri and the rest of Cyprus is utterly beyond me. Of course, the UK armed forces were decimated by previous governments (of all colours), and now it falls on labour to try to fix that. I'm sure they are 'trying', but they sure are failing. That said, they have the assets to provide that protection, they just utterly failed to do even the most basic planning in order to get it in place. The UK's Defence Secretary should resign immediately.
