  1. Yes, true. He stopped being president in 2022 I think. He quit the ICC in 2019. So a lot of potential 'issues' after they withdraw from the ICC, but plenty of alleged crimes before he withdrew. So, fair and square indictment.
  2. Totally agree with both posts above. The UK's criminal justice system is a complete shambles, but making it just a little bit better is so incredibly simple that it beggars belief that the dumbos can't see it.
  3. I get your point. This time they are actually spending money on this; I know this for a fact. But, no idea if it'll actually happen and get finished/opened of course.
  4. Yeah, true. The Filipino electorate had their say on what Marcos did though.
  5. Neither does the Philippines but the ICC got Duterte. My understanding is that the ICC has no jurisdiction on Putin for anything in Russia, but does for actions in Ukraine.
  6. Multiple officers gathered the evidence on this place over the last 6 months?
  7. If there's enough evidence then a trip to the ICC for Vlad?
  8. I thought power banks in checked luggage are banned? If I understand the OP properly someone should be in big trouble!
  9. As a fairly experienced project manager, I'll be using those hard earned skills to buy ahead of time should I choose to do so. 😂. But if I do consume I probably won't be doing it publicly.
  10. No mention of elections in Bangkok, so I assume the restrictions are just for the Buddhist holiday. So, 00:00hrs to 23:59 on Sunday the 11th. Apart from said mom & pop places. I'm no expert on this though.
  11. Great news for Thai jobs that this is happening. I wonder if it's joined up with developing other aspects of Phuket's infrastructure to handle this additional potential load?
  12. Lack thereof. Things can still go wrong with a perfect maintained piece of mechanical/electrical equipment of course.
  13. Bye bye for a very long time. Don't think a wai will cut it this time.
  14. What? Next they'll be trying to make smart drivers! 😂
  15. Wonder if he's from one of the places mentions on the "sht towns of australia" Facebook page?
  16. Not semaphore? Or international maritime signal flags? Couldn't he have used the Blue Peter, or bodged it with a pair of Val's old knickers?
  17. I think I know what you are trying to say, but proper safety standards, planning and execution of those plans would minimise the risk of any construction accident either happening, or causing death or injury if it did happen. But your point about a driver causing an accident is good. A construction person can equally cause an accident. Humans screw up; regularly. On a building site, for example during crane operations, it is normal practice to have a "kill zone" set up where nobody below said crane operations can enter. Someone screws up the tethering of the load and it falls? Nobody dies. Someone enters when they shouldn't? Crane is stopped. Sounds simple? Yes it is. But it needs a culture of safety and accountability to be in place. Does that exist in Thailand? I'll leave that question unanswered by me.
