  1. E46 has a double lock security feature with a mode where even a double-pull inside won’t open… likely the case here.
  2. Glad he dropped the club for a fair fight. Good left against a dropped guard… Occasionally the pressure valve pops and this is a tame version of what could have been… small beans incident I think.
  3. Sad but true- a topic within itself. I joined this form to read about events in the region and gain insight to fellow expat perspectives. Too often, I have to scroll through heaps of chaff to find solid grains of perspective. Sending a grateful shout out to those that contribute to the forum with civility- cheers🍻
  4. Well said- I’d add the ATF & NSA to that grouping.
  5. Regarding 🇺🇸pricing for Chinese products- agree 100%! Took a chance- first TEMU purchase recently, a Revasri golf rangefinder ฿3400- may as well be no name. It has more features than the $250 Callaway range finder I mistakenly left in the U.S. It’s just as quick/accurate- maybe quicker. Selection on Temu is beyond anything else available in the land of smiles. Much of my life I’ve used online shopping (even once bought a Lincoln Navigator via eBay motors😆). For me, Temu app/website is the next best thing to Amazon-shopping online with respect to ease of use and product availability. Lazada app is less than intuitive with heaps of spam marketing. many things I want or need I cannot even find there. I have purchased several thingamajigs and dohickeys via Lazada- some ship from Thailand, some ship from China… but 99% from China. To that point, China manufactures a lot of big-brand stuff including my Iphone, Nikes and a myriad of products I’ve used over time… aside from “junk“, they do have some know-how to produce a lot of stuff I want/need… like a golf rangefinder! Cheers!
  6. Incorrect - E46 has electric locks. Incorrect- a dead battery offers *no power*… minimal or otherwise. E46 has one battery (no auxiliary).
  7. Definately an E46… should have been able to manually pop the hood and jump. As a German car enthusiast (Benz/Beemer), I’ve owned several throughout the years in the U.S. Wouldn’t buy one here for multiple reasons- support being one of them. Case in point pictured above!
  8. I’ve successfully used WISE to transfer from my US bank to Bangkok Bank dozens of times in the past and have seen a small variance in deposit times, but never experienced an unresolved issue. I have since gone to wire transfers directly from US (Schwab) to BKK Bank as I find it easier to deal with just the two entities. I use fewer transactions in larger amounts with less cost in fees and fewer moving parts of which to keep track.
  9. Screenshot… you beat me to it!!!😆 I’m in for a legalized casino- poker is a great past time!
  10. Here’s a detailed take from a youtuber:
  11. This is my surprised face: 😐 Interestingly enough, the article says they consulted with a Thai firm when making the advertisement. It leaves me to wonder if that consulting firm had the blessing of the government on this project. The U.S. is sensitive to a history of racism in media- be it Black, Asian or Native American. So I am not surprised regarding the Apple apology- if outcries continue snowballing, future lost profits are bad for busine$$. Let us not forget this is about the money. Regarding this advertisement, it’s not difficult to see both sides of the argument. RPReplay_Final1722665300.mov
  12. (In my best John McEnroe impression): You cannot be serious… I’m dead😆 Never mind bro!
  13. I just completed this quiz. My Score 0/100 My Time 137 seconds
  14. Does Apple marketing represent “criticism from white people“ or are you referring to yourself? Either way, categorizing all asian people under your narrow understanding is almost amazing as you choosing to live among Asian people.
  15. Pouatchee- I piggybacked on what I see as a valid question of what the article described as “scientific evidence”… Stop apologizing- it’s all good!
  16. We’d like to know (pun intended)👍
  17. BahtBus/TukTuk has always been ride at your own risk! (This is Sparta!) Essentially, you should know what you’re signing up for… 30+ years ago I just climbed in, held on and enjoyed the thrill of being in Thailand. That hasn’t changed as some have mentioned- personally I see it as part of the intrigue of being in this part of the world! From the looks of the video, the man departed from the rear step… Whether he slipped or tried stepping down to the road apparently is not known- the back of the bus looks empty. Those yelling must’ve been from the street. The driver’s story is plausible and believable. However the loss of this man’s life is saddening☹️… the callousness of some of the comments in this thread is a problem! Some should shut their filthy mouths!
  18. This article is Clickbait sponsored by the bug identifier😄
  19. There is no surprise🙄… the day recriminalization discussion hit the news, I thought to myself absolutely no way this revenue stream gets the ax… no way😏
  20. And you confirm that you don’t know them, but insist on imposing your singular experience. Anything IS possible- including you being happy for someone else without crapping on their dreams… maybe.
  21. “Additionally, the metal benches are uncomfortable to use during very hot or very cold weather” … expats waiting on that cold weather🙂
  22. It’s as if you know them and what is best for their life…🤫
