Another coup risks tourism? May not really be. Do you remember what previous military ruler ordered just after his takeover(around May 2014)? Men in uniform with rifles and shotguns deployed in streets were told to look as friendly as possible to visitors. Also not to hesitate to be photographed by them. That can be unique tourist attraction again.

Very sad indeed. Nearly 20 years in Thailand by now, haven't really heard anyone starved to death. Have met several homeless people. But they rarely looked really skinny. Even street cats and dogs are often plump here. The real suffers are sometimes "invisible" as mentioned in the article.

In modern 1st world, jail conditions are often increasingly comfortable. The society is getting sickly pro-criminal.Human rights fundamentalism(over emphasis of perpetrators' well-being), the common sick sociology among the west. Pampering cunning, and dangerous criminals in the name of "education". Disgusting.

None of my concern. I simply don't use these services which compel me to pay other than by cash. And I always prefer going to the food vendor/diner. Instead of ordering food delivery. Or cook the meal I eat myself.
