  1. One simple tip for everyone to minimize the risk of online scam. Stick to cash payment where possible. Why pay via internet even while you can do it directly from your wallet? It also serves cost saving. Everytime you use QR code for small amount settlement, you are paying some extra not needed if paid in coins or notes.
  2. Exactly. Firing drivers, could lead to the terrorism spree in cities.
  3. They are harmless. No need to get them outside; feeding on bugs in your room and they are self-sufficient. Also able to go out when they want; through the narrow gaps in various part of the building.
  4. They should rather be in adult film industry, instead of here.
  5. Pity that scumbag was taken alive. Guns, swords, or killer drivers never show up at the right time at the right place. Only a month in jail and the fine as little as10000b for that crime? What a nonsense.
  6. Getting both reckless drivers and their cars off Thai streets. Just like killing two birds with one stone. Eradicating the social nuisance and reduce road traffic at the same time. Absolutely brilliant. The best idea ever from Thai bureaucrat.
  7. Quite possibly. Entering wrong number 3 times in succession, might result in the seizure of that card, by arm's built-in security system.
  8. Losing ATM card while abroad, is the daunting experience. I hear this kind of incident from time to time. Advisable to: Photograph own atm/debit card just in case(in order to claim ownership in emergency). Carry passport to prove identity. And use it at the machine located at the bank branch where possible(instead of the one on the street). So able to ask bank staff for help immediately if something wrong ever happens. This same accident once happened to me more than a decade ago. Fortunately, it was at the branch of my main bank. I could recover my card(from the bank outside Thailand) within the next 5-10 minutes.
  9. Error and correction. That failed drug trafficker was from Austria. Not from Australia. So, He traveled halfway round the world to be taken to ICU on arrival in his destination.
  10. I used to do the same 3 times a week. Also 600 pushup, 300 liftup, 3 times a week from my twenties-forties.
  11. Residents in Rawai sub-district of Mueang district, Phuket, are expressing deep concern for a German man who has been visibly sleeping on the streets with a severe leg injury for several days. I just wondered no one ever rang tourist police if worrying about him. I presume he might be out of both money and stay permit. So hesitating to beg for any help.
  12. Thailand has a flattop. But their planes were unloaded 19 years ago; no budget to keep them on that boat. You can easily check it out on internet.
  13. US will not. Cambodia is politically and economically taken over by China already.
  14. Don't worry. They are not critical about the freshness of your ID photos. Being older than 6 months old can be quite OK. Not like the passport application/renewal back home.
  15. He came all the way from down under to get into Thai ICU.
  16. What a waste he made. That is the most common type of narcotic here. Did he ever believe his"imports" will get him any quick riches? Total act of idiocy. And it is also why he committed such a stupid crime. Another Quality Tourist made a funny headline.
  17. 100% self conflicted double hell. Or it could even end up as 3; huge hospital bills.
  18. I also felt alarming level of reduced fitness among Thai youth. Little or no habit of walk in their daily life. Unthinkably addicted to motorcycle ride all the time, even for very short distance. Weakened legs lead to the overall depletion of their health.
  19. 200 squatting and serious sickness? That boy might have had some serious (previously undetected) chronicle illness. Or could be the serious online game addict. Looks like absolutely no habit of exercise in his daily life.
