Kremlin Slams Macron’s Nuclear Comments as ‘Confrontational’
black tabby12345 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
What Poo-tin meant, simply giving away his fear of NATO. His best and only trade after Feb 24, 2022, was Nuke Bluff, in an attempt to scare the nations backing UA. And it no longer works. So all he can do now, is to be scared, instead of vice-versa. -

Japanese Tourist's 160,000 Baht Returned by Honest Taxi Driver
black tabby12345 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Taking what he found to the radio station. And pinpointing where the owner(temp.visitor) is staying. Promptly returning her(judging from the name) what she left behind in the car. Absolutely brilliant. Salute to the team work of the Good Will by the honest man and broadcasters. Unsung hero of the day. I wonder if she offered him any monetary reward(as a token of her gratitude). -

I am afraid, you are posting to the wrong thread. This story is about Lost & Found in Bkk. Nothing about refugees from China... -
Taiwanese Man Scammed by Thai Lover Loses Nearly 10 Million Baht
black tabby12345 replied to snoop1130's topic in Isaan News
And the loss of those foreigners also eventually impacted on some part of immigration rule in 2017; regarding the conditions of the retirement O extension. In that revision, the bureau started to demand the foreign retirees to keep half of their 800K year around, after their extension was granted(as known today). That is because quite a few old age expats(in that region) have beaten the hospital bills after they wasted much of their fund on those money-grabbing bitc*es. A kind of worst combination; falling chronical illness by the lack of health awareness(drinking and smoking heavily), and trapped by the obvious fake romance. -

At least, Not Very New; pretty common sort of happening in SE Asia. It is rather amazing this old over-used trick still works... -
50m Baht Casino Entry Requirement Up for Future Debate
black tabby12345 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
If they open Casino, they better select those who can enter; only those who can afford to lose some money. Otherwise, just like opening the Gate of Hell. The gamble addicted poor will be poorer; falling into the state of destitution. It also makes negative impact on non-gamblers Mass of gamble debtors are easy recruitment ground for the ever increasing organized scammers. Scammers usually victimize Ordinary People, rather than 0.1% of the powerful superrich of this kingdom. -

Still better than losing fortune in Casino, isn't it? Gambling is the Loser's Game. 95% of the betters Lose, instead of Winning. It is statistically proved. -

Bangkok Condo Owners and Agents Arrested for Illegal Rentals
black tabby12345 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Most senseless/meaningless bust in recent months/years; where is the actual Victim? Nobody. These people are simply acting on the market principal; Demand and Supply. Someone wants to rent for short-term. And only answered Yes. -
There is no such thing as happiness.
black tabby12345 replied to Robert_Smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
To me, happiness is the State of Mind, to be discovered/noticed. Rather than being given by someone else, or Grab at. That is my ultimate conclusion to myself, after living over 60 years by now. When I was younger, happiness was something to pursue, try to realize by my own efforts(and I actually did hard to attain that, in my term). I now recall, it was the essential passage for me to go through, to reach my current situation and environment where I feel quite happy with. But now, to me, happiness is something inside myself, rather than outside it. -
All planned, or just the way it turned out ?
black tabby12345 replied to The Cobra's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Hi, thank you for sharing your story here. In my case, it started in 1998, from my 19 days trip to Thailand(first time to this place). Charmed by the taste of Thai food, calm gentle friendly people, as well as the lower cost of living(back then, 5kg of the least expensive rice was 50B). And since that travel, I started to feel this is my future destination(place of my future retirement). And toward the end of 2005, I came back here as the early retiree, after years of financial preparation. I flew in BKK, and travelled to Chiang Mai by the Night Bus from Khao San Rd. After my arrival, I first stayed at the place named Supreme House(no longer exists) for a week or so. Then, started looking for the apartment. After checking out around 30-40 different places, I found the place where I have been living for the past 2 decades by now. I have been just like part of their pseudo family while I have been single. One great thing about this place, family run. Whoever operates, still belongs to the one same family; will never be sold away to the stranger. Before my arrival, carefully planned. But after once here, things just turned out to be. I now recall my fate guided by some unknown force, ever since I started to plan my first visit to this kingdom... -
Some impacts I could make in the past. About 17-18 years ago, a few migrant workers used to work as live-in janitors, for my landlord's family. They did daily cleaning and laundering. As well as various chores from time to time. And some of them fell ill while working here. One got the measles (judging from his conditions; cold-like symptoms, and skin rash). I am not a doctor or nurse, but happened to know about it. And I gave him Tiffy and Antihistamine tablets. And advised him to take them after meal. The next morning, he was quite well(his sickness gone overnight). In another case(a different worker), Malaria. Feverish and coldness one after another, heavy fatigue, muscular pain, loss of appetite, and nausea. The patient went to hospital, but their prescription didn′t work on him. I gave him some Vitamin C tables. And it dramatically worked. He was perfectly well the next day. Vitamin C has an effect to strengthen human immunity (that was something I heard from my father when I was younger). I was truly glad: Some cheap over-the-counter dose and my little knowledge, could save a few people from their suffering. I even felt, 'was that the purpose for which I was destinated to settle here?'
