Economy The Thai Baht Paradox: Currency Climbs as Economy Falters
black tabby12345 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Currency Climbs as Economy Falters Quite natural. Economic downturn=Low inflation rate. Lower inflation rate=Value of money increases=Currency appreciation==High THB. The opposite is: Higher inflation rate=Value of money decreases =Currency depreciation =exchange rate goes down -

One polite gesture could have changed the situation; if he made a Wai(as the sign of apology) then. His Irrational self-justification made the thing needlessly tense. -

black tabby12345 replied to DonniePeverley's topic in Chiang Mai
I have been in Chiang Mai old city area for nearly 2 decades. Still have no respiratory sickness. If you worry about it, advisable to take at least one cup of soybean paste soup. Soybean paste is known to lower lung cancer risk. -

Report Police Clamp Down on Prostitution to Protect Pattaya’s Image
black tabby12345 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Police to maintain order and uphold the law in one of Thailand’s popular(sex) tourist hubs. Did they mobilize army of cops including Decoys(faking prospective clients, and flash their badges when the street girls approach them)? -
How do you feel about Thailand being clearly far-right?
black tabby12345 replied to JoseThailand's topic in General Topics
Thailand, far-right? This country is simply bit more cautious, in order to defend own sovereignty. Why they have to carelessly accept even Fake Refugees from the land of aliens? As well demonstrated in European nations(incl. UK), it will eventually undermine own country's right of self-determination. And once any countries ended up like that, it is impossible to turn the tide later. So in terms of stance toward Asylum Seeker, Thailand is mostly doing the right thing. Just like Poland(which is also quite careful & strict in the way they grant Refugee Status). This way, they are free from the foreign terrorists' threat/mass crime rings, while some foreign gangs exist in this kingdom as well(but they are still under control). When they bring 3rd world people, they also bring their problems as well. Any countries better only accept foreigners who are willing to respect the laws and moral code of the host countries. -
Report Police Clamp Down on Prostitution to Protect Pattaya’s Image
black tabby12345 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
One of the most stupid headlines ever seen in recent years. Pattaya is meant to be built to live on prostitution in the first place. Developed for R&R during the Vietnam War era. Getting rid of its ”primary" revenue sources, ready for severe recession in that town. -

Crime Ex-Air Hostess Claims £1.5M Drug Stitch-Up in Sri Lanka
black tabby12345 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Insisting she was Set Up by someone else? Nice try, but doesn't work. Who ever believes her innocence while she was carrying over 100 pounds of narcotic in own bag. It is the kind of weight she easily notices; not a less than pound bag slipped in her suitcase. She turned out to be even dumber than previously seemed. Accept own consequences and do the time she deserves. Intentional wrongdoing, still want to dodge the punishment. Stereotype of the spoiled brat. -
Report Beware of Tourist Scams: Bangkok Named Top Hotspot for Fraud
black tabby12345 replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
If they are "concerned", better apply harsh penalty to those fare scammers. In addition, disqualification of their trade permit(e.g.revoking driving licenses). Worsening the scammers' working condition is the shortcut. Bad guys need to be scared. Let them know do the right thing or land on nowhere. -

immigration strictly limited, restrictive residency and citizenship laws, These restrictions are chiefly countermeasure against population invasion by China. But they apply same standard to all foreign countries in order to obscure their real aim.
