    I once again checked out. In Thailand, they can either choose to bring their service weapons home, or leave them at the station. So looks like it is up to each individual cop. While I see quite a few cops in uniform(in Chiang Mai) not wearing their guns while their red shoulder moldings are not with them(indicator of their duty status: On or Off.

    While here, I have seen cops on duty consume booze during their lunch breaks several times.

    Hi, is Phunt's beach also polluted by the drifting trash? I have heard of that problem in Okinawa(Japan) though. Quite an amount of used plastic bags and empty bottles are washed ashore there.

    At any airports, don't leave your bags unattended. Or they might be blown away while are in toilet.

    Usually, the controlled detonation takes place in the middle of nowhere with no civilian population/buildings around. Looks careless to do bomb disposal that close to the airport terminal. Fragments from the explosion might hurt/damage people/infrastructure.

    I am not an American, but 1000% agree. Life in the West, has been becoming increasingly hard and uncomfortable whenever we are. With a good health, certain level of financial security, and reasonable level of adaptability to the different culture and laws, this kingdom can well be the paradise to the expat.

    Dilemma of pay rise. Higher wage/salary often leads to the increased workload on individuals as the employer cannot afford to keep the same numbers of people. Especially when they are operating on narrow profit margin.

    Dire poverty in the neighboring nations(as well in Thailand) are the fertile grounds to those lowlife criminals. Mass of desperate people for cash income are often easy prey to the slavers; many of such victims lack sufficient education. And their ignorance is also well taken advantage of by the organized crimes.

    Arrow didn't hit that victim. It was simply the matter of "luck". Targeting the unarmed innocent, and firing the deadly weapon on her is the act of Attempted Murder itself. Even if it missed the mark. If you really believe it won't be deemed an attempted murder, place a can on the head of anyone else and shoot an arrow aiming it. How the police interprets that act?

    Glad that lowlife was arrested in this kingdom. Not in the criminal heaven back home where no realistic punishment for that lunatic. Senseless attempted murderer deserves realistic harsh enough suffering time, instead of lukewarm perpetrator-friendly "rehabilitation process".

    Casino always sucks local money out of the region. Sucks in organized crimes. Easily turns the lowlife idiotic gamble addicts into readily available criminal l reserves to their recruiters. Creates small numbers of job opportunities to the locals. But their overall losses are far greater.
