By now, America has been so used to the consumption of the cheaper goods made outside of their country. And taking it for granted for decades. How can they believe they are able to turn their clock back, in the way they dream of, while those factories they used to have No Longer Exist on their own soil? Even if some might do so, the cost of resuming domestic production will be enormous. Cost of plant construction and the cost labor today, a lot more than old time. They will certainly be unable to make what the market wants at the price most people can easily afford. Matter of simple arithmetic. How can they expect to be able to buy the goods made in USA, cheaper than the ones made in the countries of a lower wage? Price of merchandise always comes with the cost of production.
