Are these numbers for real????????
CallumWK replied to CallumWK's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Those numbers are far from the 60 and 80psi pressures reported in the links. In fact, I couldn't find anything on Google that mentioned 40 or lower. I believe you are owner of a pickup, so what pressure you put in your tires for a comfortable ride? -

This thread is not about what modifications they do to their pickups in Thailand. Stop trolling -
Are these numbers for real????????
CallumWK replied to CallumWK's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Have you seen that all those links are foreign websites? I doubt that in the US, or anywhere else in the world, 1 ton pickups drive around with 10 ton springs -
I have a pickup truck, the type everyone in Thailand has. Usually I put 34psi in my tires, but I recently replaced all ball joints - cabin mounts etc, so it was jumping a bit too much to my likening, and I lowered the pressure to 32psi. So I was curious what the recommended pressure is, started googling, and was flabbergasted by the results. https://www.souzastireservice.com/Tires-101/Air-Pressure 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks and vans: Unlike cars, minivans, and lighter trucks that often specify low air pressure, the heavier trucks usually specify very high air pressure. A common air pressure for one these would be 55 front, 80 rear, or 75 front and rear, or like the example above, 50 front and 65 rear. https://www.forestriverforums.com/forums/f12/air-pressure-on-1-ton-diesel-207400.html Bought a used 1 ton diesel (see signature). The sticker says to run the rears at 80psi and the fronts at 60psi. Does that sound right for trailering to ya'll? I have a 1 ton dually long box 4x4. I haul a 35 ft 5er. When the 5er is on the truck I am at 80 psi all around including the trailer. When not hauling the tires on the truck go down to 50/55 psi. The ride on the truck is a bit better at the lower psi. My truck spare is at 80 all the time. https://www.pirate4x4.com/threads/tire-pressure-for-a-1-ton.73050/ For a D/E rated tire, 80 psi isn't out of the ordinary. For a rig that is used just for towing, I'd run max psi -5 lbs. I can only imagine how my pickup would be dancing over the road with those pressures. Anyone here owning a pickup or SUV who put those kinds of pressures in their tires?

Pattaya deputy mayor slams contractors with record fines
CallumWK replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
So that is the reason why you spout your uneducated drivel in this thread. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_Pattaya_City_local_elections The role of mayor has been held the longest by the Khunpluem family, with past mayor Itthiphol Khunpluem serving as mayor from 2008 to 2016. Itthiphol won the last election held in Pattaya in 2012, and served until his term ended in 2016, he was replaced by Chanatpong Sriwiset and then Anan Charoenchasri, who were both appointed by the National Council for Peace and Order as a result of the 2014 coup which suspended all elections.[5] Prayut Chan-o-cha then appointed Sontaya Kunplome as mayor of Pattaya on 26 September 2018.[6] Sontaya is the older brother of Itthiphol, and both are part of the Kunplome political family which previously dominated politics in Chonburi province. Candidates The Rao Rak Pattaya party (English: We Love Pattaya) had been the ruling party before the election, with mayor Sontaya Kunplome as its leader. In the election, they nominated Poramet Ngampichet, who had served as a Member of Parliament for Chonburi province, https://thepattayanews.com/2020/08/28/beach-bed-umbrellas-back-to-every-day-service-on-pattaya-beach-with-longer-hours-parking-being-discussed/ Beach bed umbrellas back to every day service on Pattaya beach with longer hours, parking being discussed By Goongnang Suksawat - Friday, 28 August 2020, 17:58 A meeting was held this week at Pattaya City Hall and was led by the Pattaya City Deputy Mayor Manot Nongyai. Joining him were beach bed umbrella vendors from Pattaya and Jomtien area beaches and Wong Amart beach. -

Have you considered that the new deputy major is the same as the old deputy major, and that the new mayor is from the same clan as the old mayor? -
What's your favourite beer for the home?

Glad you used the word "IF", as I presume you know properly stored beer, or anything else, is an oxymoron in Thailand -
Suppose you make a last will and register it at the Amphur. Obviously, you don't tell anyone, even the executor, that you made a will since you don't want to be worth more dead than alive. Then the final day arrives, how does anyone know you made a will?

Trump's Narrow Edge Over Biden in 538 Election Forecast Sparks Debate

Of course because Biden is working hard creating new voters, though I'm not confident if that will be enough. Biden to Grant Legal Status to Undocumented Spouses of US Citizens -
Yep just 1.7%. We aren't talking about the other day only, Buffett is selling BYD for a long time already, because he knows something isn't right, as with most Chinese companies. But of course, as a hardened EV fanboy it is difficult for you to face the truth, so deflection and denying the facts are your only resorts. https://www.asiafinancial.com/buffett-sells-25-8-million-more-byd-shares-stake-down-by-61 Warren Buffett-owned Berkshire Hathaway sold another $25.78 million worth of BYD shares last week, slashing its total stake in Chinese electric vehicle-maker by more than 61% since 2022. That’s down from a 20.49% stake Berkshire had in the carmaker’s H shares when it began selling off its holdings since late August 2022.

Starlink obviously isn't less expensive than any isp in Thailand, or actually anywhere in the world. In fact, it may cost about 6 times what a Thai ISP charges for the equivalent. Maybe you should do some research before you post uneducated drivel in this and most other threads The reason why it will not be available in Thailand is for xenophobic reasons.

Thailand's Tourism Faces 'Zero-Dollar' Tour Crisis

So how did you book such a tour as a non-Chinese citizen, and why you would actually want to book it as someone who lives in Thailand? -

Let it go Lou, the new branch of Best is a disaster and an unattractive design, with very few customers. Who want to drive half way up Naklua road when there are many similar shops nearby? Yes those that live near the new branch may find it convenient. Best always been cheaper on booze, but I have visited 3 times already, and all booze is more expensive than any other shop, including friendship. Of course I didn't check every bottle of booze, but did the most common ones.

Not the same by far. All-inclusive holidays the hotel in the holiday country receives the money, and no forced visits to factories owned by foreigners are included -
Thailand's Tourism Faces 'Zero-Dollar' Tour Crisis
CallumWK replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Wait a minute, didn't we hear the same story about 6 years ago? But yes they had the solution at that time, in confiscating what I think was ~1500 buses from the company that did the travelling, and a few weeks later the nephew of the then prime minister started a company that did exactly the same. The court case took several years to conclude, and no evidence of the claims was found, so the by then useless buses were returned to the by then bankrupt owner. I'm sure a Wai and an apology was offered for destroying a business -
I think something got lost in translation. My question is actually, since I am a resident for tax purposes in Thailand, and my country has a DTA with Thailand, do I have the choice to select where I get taxed on interests earned on bank accounts in my home country? Because if that is an option, I prefer to pay the withholding tax in Thailand, since I can get it refunded due to that I don't have any other income in Thailand

Did you notice I wrote EVERYTHING in capital letters? Roof had to be done twice, because they made a mistake in the measurements.; Pool tiling had to be stopped and completed with someone competent. UPVC windows had to be removed after completion, because they were sagging because no steel reinforcement inside, and were refunded. Then a second installer was hired, and a third one had to complete his job. My UPVC windows are from Thysen Inoutic. Floor tilling was started by an incompetent installer, who (beyond my knowledge) had never laid tiles, then was finished by another tiler, and finally all be removed because he had mixed up the lots. So everything had to be removed, and I had to buy all new tiles, and had them laid by a third tiler. Electricity had to ALL wires (and I mean the whole house) pulled out and pulled again, because I started checking and discovered that some sockets had 1mm wires. The minimum, is 2 mm. I can go on, but I think this forum doesn't have enough pages for that.

Malaysian Polygamists Getting Married in Thailand
CallumWK replied to snoop1130's topic in Southern Thailand News
I maybe confused about this, but someone tells me the difference between someone married to multiple women and taking care of them, and someone having a range of GF's between he switches daily or weekly? -
I was referring to your post where you said you were selling some cat food called Performa. Just had another look at that thread, and it seems you sell mainly on FB, which indicates not something serious. My apologies for confusing you with an established seller of a quality product

Just to share my personal experience. I built a house similar to your requirements about 15 years ago. I don't recall if I spent 25 or 26 hours a day on-site, all I know is that EVERYTHING has been done at least twice, some things trice, before it was even NEAR the standard I expected. Take note, my house was built by a foreign builder. What was supposed to take 9 months to completion, took over 3 years. I was lucky to have a solid contract, and some other "options" which not everyone has, so I wish you best of luck. I have seen many completed luxury houses over the last few decades, and have heard even more stories, only not sure if I should laugh or cry.

Maybe by checking out their previous works? But of course Shopee doesn't have such an option. Are you sure you are a successful online seller, or did you just enter the business concept the other day, as from your threads it is clear you have no idea about online selling at all?
-
Maybe the purpose of this thread isn't clear, so let me clarify. My understanding of a DTA is that you can't be double taxed on the same money, and I'm a resident for tax purposes in Thailand, but the taxpayer has the choice to decide in which country he wants to be taxed. Either the country he has citizenship, but doesn't live in, or the country he lives. Correct or not?
