So you still have the old 200 baht per month SIM card/plan? It sounds like the add the credit, but don't extend the validity period of the SIM card. You can do that once a year by adding 10 or 20 baht at at time until the SIM is maaxed out at 12 months of validity. Then add the remainder to get to the 2400 baht. Either way, for now, just do the 10 or 20 baht thing. Topping up 2400 baht at once will still only give you one month of SIM validity. Easiest way is just to do a bank transfer of 200 baht x 12. That maaxes out the SIM validity(365 days max) and gives you the top up amount that you need for the package.

Any good lawyers to sue well established computer store?

Perhaps you should find out. Motherboards can be repaired. Often the manufacturer/distributor prefer to replace the entire Motherboard. -

Actually this idiot had a computer repair shop in Tukcom. He had some skills and knowledge but was totally inept at the execution. Not only him but his assistant. I took an as new IBM ThinkPad to him and he broke the casing. A inexpensive Toshiba, ditto. Later when looking for a repair shop to change battery in my iPhone, I came upon a shop, having no idea that it was his. Once I entered, I was already sceptical, but decided to give him a chance. When I saw him doing everything with a Stanley knife I was appalled. No surprise when he broke something else. They certainly are not cheaper around there. I have since found two far more professional vendors and who are cheaper too. One of them refused any payment at all for a minor job. I had to force him to accept something. -

No incentive. The Tourist Police acted professionally towards me. Though I cannot remember if it was Tourist Police that attended or RTP. Either way, the Tourist Police coordinated everything for me. -

You should really get out further than Walking Street. The Tourist Police office is on Phra Tamnak Hill. They are real police. What you see on Walking Street is perhap one real policeman surrounded by volunteers and cadets. It was a full shop and the vendor is at least in his fifties. But he refused to use proper tools and instead used a Stanley knife for everything, Resulting in the inevitable. He only needed to changed the battery, but he ended up destoying the function of the phone. Hopefully he learned his lesson and decided to take care, using the correct tools for the job. I've found much more professional services since then and they are even less expensive. -

I have been given permission to 'discuss' this with you 😊 It's patently clear that you are 'stalking' me, after I pointed out your callous behaviour towards other posters here, including one who has cancer. So now you are running around trying to 'bait' me 😊 I can bite 😊 It wasn't a kiosk, but a shop and he is at least fifty five years old and totally incompetent. -

Does your rancid stuff cost 20,000 baht? Vendor was careless. He used a Stanley knife instead of plastic spudgers and proper tools. He destroyed the function of the phone. Just a chancer. There are reputable repair shops around. His is not one of them. It was the third job that I gave to him and he broke something in every one of them. The first two times I swallowed it. The third was just him taking the mickey. -

To be fair, I had a vendor break an iPhone. I told him to replace it. He said that he would but started to make excuses after a while. I brought the Tourist Police to his shop and together we fixed a deadline. Phone was produced on time. -

Show me where they have told us what exactly was broken. -
That's what I suggested. Topping up 2400 at one time(or at least 1200 for six months) as the package auto-renews as long as there is sufficient credit. Too late now. Shame, as those Unlimited packages aren't available to new customers, but people already on them get to keep them as long as they are using them. Doesn't matter if you didn't ever use more than 50GB. Likelihood is that the previous package also included calls and perhaps SuperWiFi. The price differential was just 200 baht per annum. Not a reason for change. Plus you would have number continuity if that mattered to you.

What's the short code?

What's the brand and model number of your 5G pocket wi-fi unit? I'll try to find which freqencies it supports and the best network to use with it. What TRUE package are you using?

If you want to stick with Prepaid, AIS has been running an Unlimited 10Mbps promo for at least six months now. 450 + VAT(481.50) baht. I think the promo may have ended on the 15th, but you can still try it. If it works, it will continue to work for six months, as long as you top up with 500 baht before the renewal date. *777*7703# and then the Call key.

That's an Unlimited 10Mbps package, rather than full speed 5G. Why not go for postpaid and pay the same for Unlimited 5G? 5G Max UNLIMITED 1,199 baht per month 5G Internet Unlimited at a maximum speed of 1Gbps Free call all networks 350 mins AIS Super WiFi Unlimited PLAY Premium Plus 12 months HBO 6 months Serenade Emerald https://www.ais.th/en/consumers/package/exclusive-plan/5g-max-experience

"put it in a 4G/5G 'pocket wifi' unit," I don't think you did. You wouldn't have been asking about 5G routers if you already had one.

Perhaps the reason why you are 'lost' is that you confused this thread for your own. Whereas I took it as a general recommendation for @simon43 since it's his thread. Looking for a router capable of CA is a good idea, but it needs to be compatible with the capabilities of the networks in question. In other words, I've been in agreement with you all along. That's probably what confused you....with all the arguing that goes on here 😊 But now we are obviously in disagreement, as you claim the the Spitz 750 was their only model capable of carrier aggregation. That's obviously incorrect, as I highlighted another one of their models that has this feature. Both the Spitz (GL-X750/GL-X750V2) and the Mudi V2 (GL-E750V2) are capable of CA. There may be more but I haven't checked. BUT there additional designations within those two models. Not all Spitz are capable of CA. Similarly the Mudi. There are differing configuarations according to the market for which they are meant. As I illustrated earlier: Mudi V2 (GL-E750V2) CAT 6 (EM060K-G) / CAT 4 (EM05-G) Spitz X750V2 may also be either CAT 4 or CAT 6. You need to look more closely at the specification or at least take good advice.
