  1. Who are these 'most expats'? 😊 Have you conducted a poll with all of the expats in Thailand? So far, in this thread alone, more people are using Android boxes and even Mini PC than are using old Smartphones. Perhaps you can reveal your source of information as to what expats are using?
  2. How do you know what 'most people' want? Are they running KODI on the phones(remember the actual topic) and outputting via their TVs? If not, what does it have to do with this topic? Do they have the phone permanently plugged in? How does it handle Torrents? As I wrote before...it's quick, dirty and very basic.
  3. Windows DVD 😊
  4. The topic is "KODI boxes".... Are you using KODI on your phone and outputting via your TV?
  5. Lol...not even nearly the same. Perhaps for occasional use. Casting? How does that work with HDR, Dolby Vision, Atmos, 5.1 surround etc? Screen ratios? Quick, dirty and very basic.
  6. What makes you think that it doesn't support 'external drive expansion'? Apart from that, what prevents you from downloading, storing and replaying from the internal storage? Which HK1 RBOX might this be? It's the characters that come after that that describe the box you have purchased.
  7. 3 points 30 days *878*808118# Call 10 points 120 days *878*808119# Call 30 points 365 days *878*808120# Call
  8. I know. I was the first to suggest it...
  9. My comment on prices were not for you alone. The thread topic is in fact with regard to prices. I just used your post as a basis for discussing that. I had already sent you details privately some eight minutes beforehand. So was somewhat taken aback by your reply.
  10. Perhaps you should have held your tongue until you checked your private messages. An apology here will do, so you posted your rudeness here.
  11. Trim is perhaps a bit more clean than brick weed. Of course that may have changed with the new breed of suppliers. But personally I would use a method that would wash away impurities if utilising brick weed. Trim can be found cheaply enough. 5 baht per gram is typical.
  12. Your price guide is way off. Brick is as little a 2 baht per gram for a larger amount. Maybe 6% THC. You can buy a good quality of trim for perhaps 4 baht per gram. Perhaps 10% THC or more. No need to buy flowers for making edibles unless for some specialist product. I don't buy myself, but I can see the prices and product from links already posted within this thread.
  13. My suggestion is that the links posted earlier within the thread still work. But since I know the answer, I'll save you the headache of trying to find it.
  14. Yes, it's normal. The system for Prepaid SIM is that you can have up to 365 days of validity at any one time. You can extend it as the validity reduces. For example if eleven months left, you can use that number sequence to extend it back to a year for 3 baht. Your issue is that you have allowed it to run down to just a few days and so have to keep applying it every month. The advice to extend to the full year is good, but be aware that there is not a *934*360# option. It's seems someone just made that one up. *934*180# for 15 baht *934*90# for 9 baht or *934*30# for 3 baht are the options available. Alternatively, if you have TRUE Points, 30 of them can be exchanged for 365 days of SIM validity. 10 point for 120 days or 3 points for 30days.
  15. A simple search revealed the answer.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFq32V6XLs4
  16. Are you asking about the best or are you asking about the best value for your described criteria? Since you mentioned the Mi Box S, if you like it you can simply upgrade to their latest model, the Xiaomi TV Box S (2nd Gen) https://www.mi.com/global/product/xiaomi-tv-box-s-2nd-gen/specs/ running on Google TV( based on Android 12 AFAIK). You won't have any issues with NTFS. But it has a relatively small amount of RAM. As an alternative, for your described usage, take a look at a ToX4: https://trustonx.com/product/tox4-4gb-ram-32gb-nand-rockchip-3528-media-player/ Can be obtained for around 1400 baht plus postage.
  17. Looked into it: Mao Mao Marathon 4 Mbps 6 months for 1400 baht. 12 months for 2500 baht There is also Mao Mao Marathon 6Mbps 6 month 1800 baht and 12 month for 3500 baht. May be useful for someone who wants unlimited data with an existing AIS SIM.
  18. Or if earlier this year, it might be a Mao Mao Marathon add-on for Unlimited 4Mbps. Since you state Unlimited, it could be that.
  19. I don't understand any of this..... "AIS 200 month unlimited data...." What is that? I have AIS Unlimited 10 Mbps with Unlimited 15 minute calls for when I'm in Thailand. 200 baht per month. It is perpetually extended. Perhaps you meant that package. Now you are saying a girl in an AIS shop gave you the same deal for 1400 baht for six months. I think not, otherwise you would just continue the same package at the same price. She gave you another package and you don't seem to understand what she actually gave you. Is it this? Welcome to AIS One-2-Call! – LIVE DIGITAL, LIVE Detail SIM Price at 1,400 Baht (Valid for 6 months) Enjoy internet access at 4 Mbps for 20 GB/ month. After the limit is reached, continue access at 128 Kbps. Call in AIS 1 Baht/hour
  20. Not sure what happened to my post. I hope that wasn't the 'off topic' post referred to earlier. A ex-soldier bounty hunter who travelled to Afghanistan and Pakistan to kill Osama Bin Laden and is later found dead from an apparent fall might be considered 'on-topic'. I guess you'll need to search for the LA Weekly article yourselves.
