All I can say is that they were great fun, in particular the woman who was a flight attendant. They invited me to Krakow and said I would have an absolute blast, especially loving the booze as much as I do. And the fella said the women are on tap and very liberal and his wife concurred.. Could well be my next trip!

I agree with much of what you have said here. However, I believe the law could be amended in a way that benefits those who have lived in country for a long time, are married to Thai nationals and have a family together. This would not displace the locals as locals would be residing at the address, it would just be either co-owned with the wife or solely owned by the foreigner. In that scenario I see absolutely no issue with a foreigner paying for and owning both the house and the land it sits on.

They should be back home on the frontlines in the snow, fighting a war which they started.

They are literally everywhere now. In every tourist hotspot, in every condo building, in every restaurant and on every train, Thailand is littered with these Russian draft dodgers who show a complete disregard for local laws and customs. The kids are the worst, they have no respect for anything or anyone and the parents just laugh it off. Just the other day I had a bust up with a Russian mother about how her son was behaving in public, I told her straight that she should be embarrassed and she should teach him how to do things correctly. All this was going on whilst a Japanese couple with kids were sitting on the opposite side of the train. Those children were so well behaved and it was such a refreshing sight, I even gave them a thumbs up and had a pleasant chat with them with my limited Japanese. I pointed this out to her to which she gave me the middle finger and told me to eff off... Lovely people they are, but to be honest I have come to expect nothing less.

I was absolutely mortified at what I witnessed yesterday.

You have totally missed the mark here, beachlover. My OP was about the baby who was on the bike without a helmet, driven by an adult. Does your philosophy also extend to that child who was legally incapable of making the decision for herself? -

Just like Jim Morrison said in 1967... "The West Is The Best..."
