best pizza IMO is the pizza lady who drives around on the bike with a pizza oven attached... rolls the pizza dough on the spot to whatever size, she has her own shop too and delivers, heaps of toppings, she speaks good english - 0892284483
no website for a menu, call and order whatever...

who's this person that's shut down sukumvit 2 times today in their 6 or so white cars? mostly nissans or hondas...
-
there's another big sony repair center opposite pattaya tai on sukumvit.
-

anyone else keen for karting on saturday?
-
not had a single issue for about 6 months now, 300kbps downloads anytime of the day and night...
all of the providers have dramas 90% of the time its location based I've found. right here on sukumvit i think its ok because were on a main road, a few blocks away from sukumvit it'll deteriorate as it goes through exchanges and the spider webs of cables... at my townhouse about 300m from here it's about 60% of what it is here in the office.
so yeah, provider is probably ok, but your connection has to go through lots of other shit before it gets out of thailand :|

no entertainment as in - pointless drunken nights up some soi or walking street.
each to their own enjoy nirun condo
-
all depends on your lifestyle, how much do you spend at home compared to others?
i don't go out drinking, never bar fine girls or pick up girls, hit walking street once, maybe 3 times a year at MOST, so my money isn't spent on sex booze and entertainment, and my monthly minimum is 90k
all depends on what you're willing to do, live in a very cheap depressing condo and do nothing all day, or enjoy you life.

anyone know where to find info on it? pricing dates etc?
-
Yeah, i agree with most of everything here, you pay for what you get, you may pay more for .SG staff, but they'll do a better job and do it faster.
Not only that, I've been to SG a few times and I love it, great roads, systems, city, from a living & working environment, i'd choose to open a company in SG over TH any day.

there's a sports shop on the 3rd floor in the big C shopping center - north pattaya.
in the back area they have all kinds of sporting goods and exercise equipment - I've bought free weights up there and some mats, they might have what your after.

dont forget to budget for your visa runs. you'll have to do a few every year and it'll start adding up.

hahaha so true, wonder what gives them away, all the tires and rims hanging from the roof and walls, or all the bikes getting fixed

I dont think it's 100% to do with the way thai's value life, it was only a few decades ago that skyscrapers were being built with not much more safety then the thais use now.
I think its a mixture of a lack of government regulations and controls, policing those regulations, corruption and since the current regulations are so easy to get around the owners of the projects skimp to make profits.
They cut corners and do it cheap because the people hiring them screwed them down on price, they have to drop the price or loose the project to another constructor, if there was across the board safety regulations that everyone followed and inspectors that monitored projects then the cost would go up across the board, and there would be no risk of loosing it to a competitor who cut corners on safety because there's regulation.
On top of that in western countries there's unions protecting workers rights, if there's no safety in place the workers strike until its safe etc. Here if they even try to strike there's 100 more cheap workers lined up ready to do the same job at the same price or even less. hate to say it but i think they need unions! but i guess that'll just encourage more corruption!

thanks guys, yeah thought as much, i hadn't see one anywhere. i miss this great greek restaurant in Australia run by a really nice greek guy, and funnily enough his thai wife!
-
does anyone have a location of a nice greek restaurant in pattaya? I can't seem to find one

there is truckloads of commercial property to rent, 95% of it are for rent by private owners who only have a small sign outside, best bet is to spend a few days on a scooter with a thai girl to talk to the owners, just go around look for phone numbers on doors or on little signs and get her to call them and ask how much. there really is heaps around, in my opinion there's an overstock of property.
dont shy away from a 3-4 floor high building, put some beds etc upstairs and offer cheap accommodation to your staff, will keep them on time, accountable and costs down.

I really think the internet quality here has a lot to do with location, not provider so much.
I've been in about 8 different locations and had horrible to great experiences with the same providers.
It's a mixture of line quality and exchange quality.
Thankfully now we have both CAT and tt&t (2 adsl connections), and they both are great
Go-kart Anybody?

yeah the track is ok, a bit small and tight, will be much nicer if they ever link the 2 sides together (its designed too, just not done it yet), if they do that i'll be down there every day with my own rotax kart begging for a run on it.
