  1. Yeah there's so much bullshit here, do anything to anyone and you stand a chance of ending up in Jail, watch any of those customs tv shows where they show asians and americans entering england and australia, they get held up and start abusing the customs staff and nothing happens, do it here and you end up in jail, say anything here and you end up in jail.

i've always felt like thailand is very communistic, there's no freedom, no freedom of speech or press, its just a country being run by corruption and the rich ad middle levels.

  2. Hey i'm after some server hardware in pattaya, is there any IT shops around that stock items like Xeon cpu's, intel server boards, ecc buffered ram or sata raid controller cards?

last time i was up at tukcom not many seem to stock much else than desktop / gaming hardware.

if anyone knows anywhere that'll save me a trip to bangkok that would be great :o

    thanks

  3. yeah i think it was a Macaw too, big red one. seen him at central. maybe he's a d*ck for going shopping and to bars with it, but i can say from experience, my friend in Aus had a big blue macaw and it's an awesome bird super smart, think the intelligence of a 12yo, and they live for tens of years. it's a pretty cool pet if you're into pets.

I had a squirrel and if it wasn't so erratic i'd take it out side too, maybe not to malls or bars, but beach and walking around.

  4. yeah i went there once, was going to buy something and have dinner there, but after walking through the whole place i realised that the food court was pointless and that there's nothing of interest there to buy... just a bunch of random tents with random things.

  5. everything's made in china, high end low end, who cares.

my only problem with central is the big sporting shop, whatever it was called, was 80% clothing, 10% treadmills and 10% sporting goods... would have like to have seen more sporting goods in there... aside from that's a nice place, will do well for a long time.

  6. more bitching by cheap charlies who wont pay more then 30b for a meal or 45b for a beer...

3,00thb is fine for a tshirt when you appreciate the brand and quality, or want something new that looks good, i spent 10,000 there yesterday on 3 pairs of shorts and a shirt (puma, nike, ripcurl). i can never find any good looking that's a copy in pattaya, the copy stuff always looks a few years old and just average imo.

also, the mention that "I also noticed the missing English signs, amazing in a place where half of the trade will be by foreigners." there's a boatload more well off & rich thais around then there are westerners. 70m thais and 5k westerners, 90% of the westerners are cheap and 90% of the thais are poor, that still shits all over the numbers of thais that will be shopping there, i doubt half will be english speaking foreigners, by the looks of this topic, the cheap english speaking people will be going elsewhere so that leaves it to the and Russian and Chinese who dont speak english anyway.

then again, i didnt seem to have any problems with things not being translated there, maybe i missed the lack of english? </end rant>

  7. Thank YOu FOX ! But you didn't know about SUP, right? It is free to try out.

And Patklong..................I don't allow workers to hurt themselves. You are right, though,

in any country there are workers who would work without safety gear.

That is where the bag comes in. It all happens inside the bag. No fumes because I swithched

to epoxy. It does not harden by giving off fumes. The only "chemical" that works for

cleaning tools and whatnot is ......... vinegar. If that is going to endanger the environment,

we better get the word to the fish and chips shops.

I have a competitor who is already up and running with SUP. So I best get to work.

err yes I did actually. nothing new champ. sup has been around since the 60s' but started to become popular again around 2000 - the boom was 9 years ago, but that doesn't mean there's not room for competition.

and about the'bag' you still net to wet it up first if your vacuum bagging, if you use vacuum infusion there's no wet up, but either way you still need to create the resin mixture first.

also, cutting of the fibres is where air extraction is useful, inhaling or having fibres floating around ain't good.

  8. "And I bet you have no clue about what is booming right now."

i love it how people assume they are smarter and in the know more than everyone else they don't know.

there's a fireglass supply retailer on sukumvit, about 100m before the pattaya thai lights heading south.

  9. well, its not so much the traffic control problem, as the drivers.

the block off areas because drivers are cutting across 4 lanes of traffic at a right angle to the oncoming traffic, rather then drive down the road a bit, merging across and doing a u-turn.

    its like herding feral cats.
