typically deposits are non refundable no?
isn't that the whole point of a deposit? pay a minimal amount to secure something without having to pay for it fully now - and since your not paying 100% up front they are wearing the risk of you not paying in full by taking a small non-refundable deposit - and your seeing the benefit of not risking 100% up front by keeping your cash in your own bank.
honestly if i was the condo owner i'd be keeping the deposit since you no-showed on the booking. just like any other hotel or service provider would do.
just like you, you didn't start or plan the whole PAD thing, and nor did the condo owners. you're both in a bad position. you lost your deposit, they lost the rest of your booking payment.
what you should be doing, is contacting your travel insurance company and see if you can put a claim in since this is one of those things out of your control. if you're lucky you'll get through to the guys and maybe re-schedule the booking. but when I've missed a hotel booking and want to change it it 1 day forward, I've been charged for it.
"I am concerned that I have been well and truelly ripped off, I do hope I`m wrong."
on the up side, your hopes have come true, you've not been ripped of.

i don't understand a word your saying.
the business market isn't bad in Thailand, probably is for the westerners who only sell to westerners, but thai business still has a large audience.
-
there was / probably still is a small but crowded and busy food stall market just up the road from that next to the 7-11 and the bike shop. the carnies that were there didn't seem to attract many people and his business center looks empty.
but who knows.
there's markets everywhere, its more about location than anything.

i cant think of anything more mind numbing than sitting in a baht bus all day in pattaya. i guess if your one of those who sit around every day and start drinking from 8am than it might be a nice change.
how about giving her a reason to go out and do something. hardly think she's going to like being told, go drive a pick up round town in shit traffic for less money than your giving her now. better option is to get the shits with you and sit around and watch more tv.
good luck with that.

i know of one up near maccas on sukumvit, but their selection was limited and had nothing under the 650 range. anywhere else anyone knows of? or websites even?

hah i love the volunteer cops walking down walking street, fully try to act like they have some kind of authority and what not. try to act all tough. glorified security guards, at least security get paid.

f1.com doesn't have live streaming, just live timing.

looking in the obvious place for someone, the main road. god knows what would happen if he slipped out along 2nd or 3rd road. or in the boot of the car.
-
the cowboy and his little girl are always there.
do the farang backpackers trying to get you to buy timeshare have work permits. i doubt it.
thursday night was dead on the street
friday night at heaven above was absolutely packed. with girls and customers. next time try there if everywhere else is dead.

yeah don't go girl / drink crazy and you'll do fine. welcome to the crazy.

saw them driving cars with loud horns MONTHS ago advertising that place.
dont know why they waste the money advertising to locals when their market is bussed in tourists.
-
i love the new surface that they put down in sukumvit... oh except the fact that they forgot to resurface the middle of the intersections...
-
if supermarket waiting times are your biggest issues to cry about i envy you.

should see the easykart kart track, it's lower than the road and the road floods in a 30 min downpour, we had a beer there and watched the road flood, then the drainage overflow and flood the track...
-
moo9 - close but no cigar, sukumvit flooded about 80% the amount it did on Saturday, about 2-3 times in the last month. didn't last as long as it did on Saturday, but still shut down the road. (my office has a view of the flood section of the road)
also, the soi's flood heavier than the main road. soi arunotai up towards sukumvit floods quite well, and sukumvit soi's near pattaya tai flood too. arunothai floods cause its down stream from sukumvit, and the sukumvit sois flood cause they are all on hills and the drainage is useless.
there's drains on both sides of the road, the left side is overflowing and flooding the road, while the right side is almost empty and the water is flowing into there.

well i'm not a lady... or female.

don't believe everything you read...
and yeah, baby girl, all good
-
sukumvit was a big issue, few cars trapped in the water it was so deep.
most traffic ended up being re-directed down pattaya tai, pattaya klung or that railroad relief road.
and at rushour, that's a shitload of traffic.

i guess the best bet if you're dead set on it would be to buy it online...
