I think it was obvious that he was comparing it to holding up foreigners obeying Thai laws but ignoring Thai law breakers, such as riding a motor bike without a helmet.

There are definitely have outlets in the UK. There is one in my home town of Watford. I just order online then pick it up from the warehouse. You can get a certain amount of the high turn over stuff fronm there but I always order online and collect it from the warehouse. Only a few minutes drive for me

I know RS in the UK, mainly online but they also have a warehouse in the town that I live. I need to buy some electrical bits and pieces and wonder if RS in Thailand are purely online or do they have warehouses that are also retail outlets. Searching only brings up RS online and that is all in Thai.

Do they have extra cars? These are fixed length trains that can't easily have extra cars added, even if they were avaiable. I have often wondered why they don't buy extra cars especially the pitifully short ARL trains. The platform lengths will accomodate longer trains. It just comes down to money.

Travelling along the Nakhon Nayok to Rangsit road a few days ago. The gf driving. A kid in school uniform runs across the three lanes of fast traffic. Climbs over the concrete barrier then runs across the other three lanes. There was a pedestrian foot bridge less than 50 m away. I also think Thai drivers are the most inconsiderate I have seen. But as to getting worse, I have actually seen a few, only a few mind you, move out of the way of an ambulance with its sirens and flashing lights on.

Yes you may well have problems. On arrival at Bkk I was asked how long I was staying. My return flight was 90 days but I had a onward ticket for 60 days. On arrival they did ask to see the outbound flight and recorded it on my records. I then decided not to use the onward ticket as I am meeting somebody travelling to Bangkok around that time so I was thinking of an extension. I am now 47 days in and a few days ago I got the chance to go to Poi Pet Cambodia for a couuple of days in a friend's car. Coming back into Thailand I got a real third degree grilling. Why wasn't I going to Singapore, the onward flight that I had and I was not taking, when was I coming to Thailand again, did I have a family in Thailand. I was just coming for 3 months, so just an addional 30 days. You are coming for 6 months so will need an extention another exempt entry and another extension or two more exempt entries. Given the problems I had just staying 90 days I would say you are going to have problems. They seemed to have really clamped down.

Or the UK. Nobody can stop you filming or taking photos in a public place. I have heard dash cams are illegal in Germany. Is that true?

I like you have visited Thailand once a year going back further than 20 years. Like you missed the covid period. Never, never until arriving in December have I been asked to show proof of onward travel. How long was I staying 60 days I said. Showed her onward booking to Singapore. My return to the UK was in 90 days times. Stamps the passport. I deciced to give the trip to Singapore a miss and cancelled it and did an over night trio to Poi Pet. Then re-entered Thailand. How long are you staying? I leave on the 8th March. Show her itenary from the travel agent. She seems confused. Point to the Bkk to Lhr via Doha on the 8th March. Still confused. What about Singapore she asked, I cancelled it I said. Hell I am a tourist, we change our minds sometimes. When are you coming back to Thailand? I have no idea I said. Did I have a family in Thailand? No I don't. I have never in the years coming here been made to feel so unwelcome and made to feel like I am some sort of a burdon on Thailand rather that somebody who puts thousands of pounds into the Thai economy. The first time ever I have actually come to Thailand twice in the same year. If this is going to be Thailand's attitude to anybody who dares to want to come more than once a year I think I need to find a country that is more welcoming.

When in the UK builders stop demanding cash payments for building work because that want to fiddle their taxes then I will feel guilty about dodging taxes. I bet a lot of them sign on unemployed as well. Really annoying being in a queue in Costco stuck behind somebody paying with a wod of cash the size of a brick.

How could the new deeds be in the name of the foreigner. Isn't the legal owner the company?

I was told that Thais are not allowed to be sleeping partners in a business, ie a 51% share holder has to put in 51% of the initial investment. My guess the Thai put up nothing. Does that make the setting up of the company by the Thai illegal?

I will give them a try. I happened to look online and quite a few places selling work stuff and had boots but I would really need to try them on. I will check out the places that you mentioned.
