Turns out the Trump-maga and Mao-cultural revolution connection is actually a real thing
As someone with a degree in history from a US top 75 university I can state categorically I see and that you've made zero case for any similarities between Mao's cultural revolution (which US lefties were on board in 60s) and the MAGA movement. If anything the blind following of Biden woke dogma through all the criminality, the blind support of Biden, Harris mirrors your presupposition best. Dogged fealty to the worship of drag queens and chemically castrating children. Of .. by any means necessary. Unsurprisingly, you've got it ass backwards This is yet another post, yet another example in a litany of posts in which you are wholly entirely incorrect.

I doubt that's entirely accurate. That's quite a gamble on business model of defective products. Also appears to be owned by Muslims as they are largely who I see working in the stores. Nevertheless, it would seem so. Products sold within China have very low quality standards. I'm not surprised much of diy might be these products. I think they're just excess from Chinese market. China overproduces nearly 15%. It must find markets abroad for the stuff Products sold in b25 stores here also Chinese, but functional (not the same products).

Donald Trump promises to order that U.S. pays same price other nations do for some drugs
From AP News Donald Trump promises to order that U.S. pays same price other nations do for some drugs AP U.S. President Donald Trump. File U.S. President Donald Trump. File | Photo Credit: AP President Donald Trump says he'll sign an executive order on Monday (May 12, 2025) that, if implemented, could bring down the costs of some medications — reviving a failed effort from his first term on an issue he's talked up since even before becoming President. The order Mr. Trump is promising will direct the Department of Health and Human Services to tie what Medicare pays for medications administrated in a doctor's office to the lowest price paid by other countries. “I will be instituting a MOST FAVOURED NATION'S POLICY whereby the United States will pay the same price as the Nation that pays the lowest price anywhere in the World,” the President posted on Sunday on his social media site, pledging to sign the order on Monday [May 12] morning at the White House. “Our Country will finally be treated fairly, and our citizens Healthcare Costs will be reduced by numbers never even thought of before,” Mr. Trump added. His proposal would likely only impact certain drugs covered by Medicare and given in an office — think infusions that treat cancer, and other injectables. But it could potentially bring significant savings to the government, although the “TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS” Mr. Trump boasted about in his post may be an exaggeration. Medicare provides health insurance for roughly 70 million older Americans. Complaints about U.S. drug prices being notoriously high, even when compared with other large and wealthy countries, have long drawn the ire of both parties, but a lasting fix has never cleared the Congress. Under the planned order, the federal government would tie what it pays pharmaceutical companies for those drugs to the price paid by a group of other, economically advanced countries — the so-called “most favoured nation" approach. The proposal will face fierce opposition from the pharmaceutical industry. It was a rule that Mr. Trump tried to adopt during his first term, but could never get through. He signed a similar executive order in the final weeks of his presidency, but a court order later blocked the rule from going into effect under the Biden administration. The pharmaceutical industry argued that Mr. Trump's 2020 attempt would give foreign governments the “upper hand” in deciding the value of medicines in the U.S.. The industry has long argued that forcing lower prices will hurt profits, and ultimately affect innovation and its efforts to develop new medicines. Only drugs on Medicare Part B — the insurance for doctor's office visits — are likely to be covered under the plan. Medicare beneficiaries are responsible for picking up some of the costs to get those medications during doctor's visits, and for traditional Medicare enrollees there is no annual out-of-pocket cap on what they pay. A report by the Trump administration during its first term found that the U.S. spends twice as much as some other countries in covering those drugs. Medicare Part B drug spending topped $33 billion in 2021. More common prescription drugs filled at a pharmacy would probably not be covered by the new order. Mr. Trump's post formally previewing the action came after he teased a “very big announcement” last week. He gave no details, except to note that it wasn't related to trade or the tariffs he has announced imposing on much of the world. “We're going to have a very, very big announcement to make — like as big as it gets,” Mr. Trump said last week. He came into his first term accusing pharmaceutical companies of “getting away with murder” and complaining that other countries whose governments set drug prices were taking advantage of Americans. On Sunday (May 11), Mr. Trump took aim at the industry again, writing that the “Pharmaceutical/Drug Companies would say, for years, that it was Research and Development Costs, and that all of these costs were, and would be, for no reason whatsoever, borne by the suckers' of America, ALONE.” Referring to drug companies' powerful lobbying efforts, he said that campaign contributions “can do wonders, but not with me, and not with the Republican Party.... We are going to do the right thing,” he wrote. I'm now shaving with Feather safety razor and Feather single blade razors. Shaving 2x with Feather. Final pass is with triple blade cartridge Bic knockoff MrFixit. I use Indian cream I found on Lazada I recall regularly seen in Barber shops throughout subcontinent. Cheap and amazingly close shave. Two passes Feather, cleanup with the triple blade. Est cost one shave: Razor: b1.5 Blade: B1 Cart: b.5 Cream: .25 Total estimate: b3.25 per shave * Japanese razor, Japanese blade (industry sharpest)

I'm no longer using bics as the cartridges are now b145 / 4. In the past I would have agreed best value cartridge in Thailand

That's what you and half dozen of your friends and family are late night? Doubt. Sauce and wilted salad look weak tbh

Fresh Spinach (Tops)
I've found fresh spinach at Top's (Pohan Yotin). Admittedly, I don't normally shop there. It's pricey at b65 a bunch. Anyone know where to find fresh maybe even frozen spinach (not pak boong) in central BKK ? **Also looking for pickled ginger bulk. ** Also looking for good but cheap ribeye * Also red wine bulk recommendation. BTW I'm not near makro but could make a trip. Thx

Why are you still in Thailand, not in Vietnam?
This is absolute rubbish. I don't think the GDP is hit over 2.75% in the last two and a half decades. The last decade it's been under 2. The current government is well aware of it but speaks nothing of it. That is because they are absolutely ill prepared to do anything about it. This was to be the swan song of Taksin. He was going to put the economy back on track. Instead what we get are sketchy casinos for money laundering. Any developing economy that's going to lift itself out of poverty really does need a solid 5% growth over decades. Finally, aside from the broken pink lines and yellow line what's really changed in Bangkok in the last 10-15 years? What's changed in thailand?

Vietnamese women are stunning 👍👍

Why are you still in Thailand, not in Vietnam?
This is an especially good question for those under 45. Vietnam is a rising star, Thailand is a falling star. If you are retired in Thailand and have been for even a few years there's little reason to pick up and go to Vietnam or Cambodia. That is unless you're broke. If I were a brokie or global gonad I'd be in Vietnam . The food is almost as good as Thai. For those that prefer far less spice and perhaps even more fresh ingredients Vietnam is the ticket. The Vietnamese people are not especially warm and perhaps even more came to keep outsiders at a measured distance. Vietnam has beaches that are very acceptable for living. I would generally speaking want beaches that were a bit warmer and more beautiful (Thai islands, Indonesia islands). Vietnam is going to clean Thailand's clock and it's probably only going to be 15 years before they just surpass the entire GDP of the nation. Thailand has gone absolutely nowhere for 25 years. Seems like everything is taxed to the hilt in Thailand.

BYOB
What advantage would this be to the restaurant? To take this risk? Selling you a burger and fries? There are some Thai establishments that allow you to bring your own alcohol. Generally that's going to be a bottle of Regency these days. Cost is about 100 baht of the few places that I know of.

Yes, the op is not too bright. It's typical and emblematic of the forum. My guess is doesn't even live in Thailand

Yet another middle aged white woman half naked on MRT
And on an island I would not have raised the issue. That was kind of my point genius. It's not that they are shorts it's they are very short, shorts. Thai women would never wear this sloppy dress. It's no wonder that you're all in support of it because your probably all slobs just like her.

Slides yes, b35 flip flops like these - a big no.

Yet another middle aged white woman half naked on MRT
Flip flops are not appropriate in bangkok, KL or Singapore. They are worn by only the poorest of people and of course clueless foreigners. These are real cities and nowhere to be wearing bath sandals or beach shoes. This isn't my opinion I have heard a number of ties scoffing at these flip flop things in Bangkok. Perhaps you're one of the guys that walks around shirtless on lower Sukhumvit. Got it Australian? British..

Yet another middle aged white woman half naked on MRT
Nowhere posted did I say that I was offended. I imagine many thai were though. Just add it to the big pile of rubbish, flotsam and jetsam that the thais have to deal with on a daily if not hourly basis living in central Bangkok. See these women all the time.

Yet another middle aged white woman half naked on MRT
That's totally inappropriate for being out and about in Bangkok. Replete with the flip-flops too. This is a total fashion failure

Yet another middle aged white woman half naked on MRT
This is so typical. Seems like every foreign woman I see on public transport has shorts with her cootchie on display and tank top showing her teets. Seems like the heavier ones wear even more revealing clothes. I'm no prude, but I'm certain it's offensive to Thais and I sure don't need to see this on display. Wearing clothes isn't really that much warmer. I used to go to work in long sleeve, trousers for ten years. I really don't know what the hell gets into people. Yeah, I know it's kind of risque, but it's so hot 🙄🙄🙄 ... I just don't care. I can hear this being muttered over and over in my mind when I see these women.
