  1. Tell me you married a woman from issan, live in issan without telling me you ....
  2. But at least they are here. Opinions of others outside are meaningless on a Thai / Asian board.
  3. Yes and no. My wife is 15 years my junior and she's sick more than me. In fact, she's sick today with this headache naseua thing which comes every 6 to 8 weeks. I get a little 'summer cold' every two years and a big cold maybe every five years. I'm very lucky, but it's not magic Thai blood.
  4. People that say that Thai street food is unhealthy or unhygienic really are just covering.. the truth of the matter is they don't like Thai food.
  5. While I don't roll around in mud along BKK klong I don't do anything to stay clear of things that might have some health hygiene issues. I'm 60++ and never sick. I didn't even get COVID . Exposure to the world is best antibody! PS whenever my wife heats up food she always throws it in the microwave and turns it on high. I really object to it because some large dish can end up getting fully cooked by three or four times. I often eat street food that is been sitting out all day and not warmed just scooped off a tray and thrown on a plate with some rice. I never have a problem or I should say very rarely. One thing I do avoid is raw seafood and raw beef although I really like them both. The exception being sushi which is served in a proper restaurant. Seems like every time that I dabble with raw seafood I end up with a bit of the squirts. I like raw beef salad and Thai larp raw beef but I'm more concerned about parasites that I am about some sort of time / temperature abuse. Just eat it, get used to it l, love it. Thai food almost as good as Italian but much less carbs. So yummy.
  6. My wife often cooks rice in the evening time after she comes home from work. Often, we both forget to put it in the refrigerator. Very often it gets put in the refrigerator in the morning. We've never had any sort of food illness. Moreover, we are camping five or six weeks a year. We often eat rice that's been not refrigerated for 24 hours. Not only has she but I have never had any sort of illness from it whatsoever. Just because the dramatists say that you can die from things doesn't mean it's ever going to even happen. In summary, not only has my wife never been sick from Rice that has been set out but I have not either
  7. And opinions are usually subjective and bias. Not even ability to recognize it or ignore within themselves. Posters blather on about their experiences in home countries which if outside home countries they very well might have different opinion. Yet, they wax on as if their experience has some relation to expats abroad. Really should just disappear to reddit where they belong. The amount of trolls allowed to exist here is truly astonishing
  8. Seems perfectly reasonable Of course, you brought photos of your years together premarriage. Trips abroad together, you at family events ... 😂😂
  9. I didn't say I mix with them, but these kwai exist. I don't live on BTS line, don't even eat western food much if at all. Central BKK... unless I go to a mall near Sukhumvit I rarely see farang here. Just as well tbh. 👍👍👍
  10. There's also Phaya Thai hospital in the area. No idea about it. My bil got a circumcision there. I guess ok. Praram9 is in huay kwang but close enough. Many reports of sketchy prices. I've done health packages there. I think there are a few hospitals up around Pohan Yotin too Ask at St Louis? Din Daeng it's Blue Line to Silom, change to BTS. 7 mins alight St Louis
  11. Looking at lower Sukhumvit, most farang I see on lower Ratchada 40+ are unfit. So many health problems and then they bring their dietary addictions... Nearly all the women farang I see are well overweight also and pretty much everyone I'd worked with despite none having kids.
  12. That's still one meal champ 🤯
  13. What's preventing you from spending a few nts in Lao ??????? Even Vientiane could kill two days. I never understood the need to rush back here. Probably a gf can trust farther than can toss her. Lao only has Laotian food 🤣 No Sunday carvery 555
  14. Wow, thanks Lived in Asia 35 years first time anyone pointed out double standards.
  15. I'm not interested in Garmin. Bad experience many years ago. Zero need, desire for GPS. I even keep the location on my phone off. No need for time function I have two Omega's I'm thinking it's all a big waste anyway as I need to carry my phone presumably and I can just keep up the number on the phone. Check pulse BP before and after exercise.
  16. This is Thai forum. Please use thb
  17. We are now living in bldg 8fl, 48sqm 1bdr fl5 view of green vacant lot and another condo, an apt. 2 lifts, worthless pool. Leather sofa, new fridge, dreamy dunlopilo 50k bed, cabinets, reverse osmosis. Security. 300m from MRT. 13k.
  18. That's not Bangkok. Not anywhere close.
  19. That's probably true. Wife heard /read similar but I don't think it's really affecting prices. If she's Thai or luk krung I'd have her look up on the blue line. Much more authentic area. Better food options. Far, far fewer tourist rabble. Message me I'll give you a nice safe apt in huay kwang
  20. Too many clueless tourists for me there. I think Pohan Yotin better tbh. Siam area for Chula girls
  21. These guys are all short stay. Only two even stated what they pay in THB! They were also the more reality based responses at 16, 20k. Both still high for their ages imo. T21 lol... I go in there more to pee than to shop.
  22. This is extremely revealing. @BLMFem here are your people. Have a listen 🤣 No one will watch it. Doesn't fit the deluded narrative rambling around in their brains more like scrambled eggs
  23. Intentionally destroying the value of the dollar. That is hilarious. Every president since I can remember loves a weak dollar for the exact same reason...drives imports. In 100 days too! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  24. More rubbish from the news organization that can barely keep the lights on. Just gossip...but we've come to expect that.
