People in Thailand are unfortunately getting heavier. This is unhealthy and aesthetically unappealing at least to me. Both genders and trans too. Seems everyone is walking around with some sweet iced drink. I'm no health nut believe me , but I only drink water, beer, wine and whisky (minimal beer). Having said that.I live in central BKK and the Thai women I see even after 35 years in Asia are stunning. Have a ride on the MRT, BTS and visit some malls. Head down to the Siam area and have a gander at the Chula girls. From 16 to 60 I think many Thai women are dynamite. The Bangkok combination of natural beauty, makeup, feminity and fast fashion is a look that competes with Japan, China and Korea and bests it's neighbors, Philippines, Taiwan (in volume), Indonesia He'll, even the fat chicks often look kinda hot. A few weeks ago I noticed a couple MF from upcountry. They were quite brown and stood out, Issarn features. Moreover, they were in their 40s. I remember thinking to myself DAMN those are two good looking people! People are heavier and it's not a good look. I'd love to see the fast food and western style sweets disappear. Look what they do in US UK. I certainly wasn't fat, but myself lost 4kg a few years back. Recently I've lost another four. It's amazing how much fat we have on our bodies.

No, it's not and it's the fault of indifferent executive administrators, Thai teachers and especially foreign teachers. I'd come to realize that 85% the EFL teachers are basically frauds. They are lazy and incompetent. They can't inspire themselves let alone a child (of another country). They are just Babbits and see their jobs as to show up and do something. Rather, the profession is to impart knowledge and skills. There's none of that. They are practically allergic to work. They know nothing about the profession or developing quality, engaging content for their students One day I realized that nearly every foreign teacher in the entire fancy, expensive, elite school I work with did more harm than good for the students and that the students were doing effectively nothing that would allow them to gain knowledge and skills related to the acquisition of English. I noticed over five years the students were getting lazier, reticent, academically dishonest. Students with real ambition were leaving the school at m4 in frustration. In the Arts classes 30% of students could not hold a simple conversation. That's clearly on the foreign teachers The teachers .. a mix of imposters and narcissists. Ten percent were gold. The rest weren't worth 35k pm. Some even skipped classes. It became a charade and probably always was. I always ascribed to the notion that forget what's going on around you - you have control over your classes and students. I came to realize that it's not that simple. Learning is scaffolded.. entirely. I had enough and up and quit the circus. Great pay, campus, insurance, nice kids. The other teachers I found so dripping with fraud it was revolting. It was a total charade and nearly every teacher at each one of the five schools I'd worked goes to *work* each day to waste yet another day of their life and an hours of the students time. Thailand should just hire Thai teachers - results will be the same. Education is an Fing mess. If you are a teacher and reading this in all likelihood I'm talking about you. Remember this next time you show up to your salaried job. You're not cheating a big corporation - you're cheating children that you are paid to help

I worked there for two years in late 90s. Was a bit friendlier when visiting with wife ten years ago but still ... she even remarked how cold people were (she's kinda cute and not brown) I was ripped off every opportunity available by employers, it's a very homogeneous bunch .. the hermit kingdom. Once had to share house with a young Korean man on steroids. He was a maniac and totally predator. Good looking, rock solid. He totally lie and anything and everything to get in a girls panties and then toss them aside as soon as anything got serious. That often show up at the house there would be bickering and fighting and it was a real nightmare. Incidentally, had a gf there who was oral surgeon. Even she wanted out. She broke up with me when I told her I had no intention of moving back to States / marrying her. I never told her I had any plans of returning. I knew her plan. Divorce 😉 BTW she said she disliked her parents intensely. They would always bum money off her and then buy her gifts with the money. If that wasn't crazy enough they would then expect her to show some sort of gratitude aand we're disappointed when she didn't Given my brief stint there idsay thats toxic

Lots of pretty Thai women now have "cute" tattoos Honestly, I probably wouldn't think so negatively of them if they were done well, had some meaning, placed properly on the body and cared for (stay out of the sun). I would be so obsessed with any tattoo on my body that looks like she it. It would haunt me

Face and neck tattoos. Seen a good looking Thai kid all tatted up on MRT. Had a neck tatt. Good looking kid. Probably doing only flans or the fam just gives him cash. Before anyone thinks I'm a prude I've pretty much seen it all and done it all. I'm not shocked more like disappointed in humanity. I'd probably feel much better about it if they were attractive and or had some real meaning. They are all blurry 😳 I swear many years ago I wanted to buy a laser and start a tattoo removal clinic in Pattaya

All the tourists on 4 and cowboy sure. Then there are the peter pans that live in Thailand decade plus and are down there a few times a week. It's their entire social world. Some even live there like in Sarangjai and Omni or whatever that condo is up soi 4.

Yeah, they really lost the plot. People LOVE to show of their ugly tattoos. They even wear purposely revealing clothes to display their flesh trophies as if it's something difficult or badass picking flash off the wall and sitting in a chair for a few hours. I love the Chinese and Thai tatts that were done (purposely?) incorrect. What you wanted: "Thailand in my heart forever" What you got: " Thailand gives me a boner forever"

It looks so trashy. The number of tatts I've seen that look even ok I can count on my hand. Every time... thought goes through my head ...what were you thinking?? ? Young Thais now too I really really dislike them on women. Men I guess I don't care but it's hideous mess af My wife has a small one she together got with a friend that no longer with her. International trips aside, my wife and myself go to one inexpensive place of beauty and tranquility six weeks a year and have done so since we met. Cheap. There's nowhere like it in Thailand and much the world. Most anywhere else will not be as beautiful, peaceful, great for health and exercise. In the better times still fun. I agree about the clueless backpackers. Absolutely. Well, that was/is never me. I've actually asked people to kindly take of their packs in MRT. They are people with backpacks not backpackers. They may be same, but not necessarily. What of those HUGE rollbags, excess luggage and then they get on peak hours! 😭💥 Rollbaggers .. the bane of my existence. Then can they 'expect' something? Will there be moaning about care and coverage?

I'm a cheap backpacker type. That's how I also became a cheap retired at 45 in Thailand type. I far and away prefer a backpack as the filthy rollers and being IN the street generally is not the order of the day. I'd say filthy roll bag types. My Thai wife, also used a backpack for years with me and before me. I nag and plead not to take a roll bag. Ever been run over in an airport.. by a person that doesn't give a F? Roll bagger mentality and never an apology. I'm 64 and I'll use a 36L pack until I cannot carry it no more. As for "backpackers" yeah, I rather loathe what I have seen in social media and bump into randomly in BKK. They are what I call placebaggers. They just flit from one stupid trendy area to another OR they blather on about how real, authentic somewhere is when I'd found it dead and finished 30 years ago. Indeed, I did zero travel in Thailand's my first decade in E Asia and used it exclusively for RnR. Islands, fun. On my first visit in 92 visit seemed done and over preferring Myanmar, Cambodia, Lao, Vietnam. On TT they are all running to 711 and posting up about the delicious junk food. Decades ago I used to wonder whether it was worth walking to Big C for many items when I could just buy them at 7 for quite literally a baht or two more. Times have really changed. I don't really do anything but emergency shopping and the occasional beer in 7. Nevertheless I am definitely noticing prices either extremely high when looking at the product / it's something that I regularly purchase there and at other places such as big C and notice a substantial difference in price. Like in the states 7 learned to ask their customers to pay for convenience. Can't say it's harmed their business in the least Unfortunately un like Japan where you can find amazing prices and lawsons and 7. Attempt to eat more fish Now taking E, Magnesium, Astaxanithin Eliminating all NSAIDs for lower back thru walking, exercise Stop drinking 60-90 days. Now about day 10 Goal is 45 minutes exercise and 10k steps daily I've gone on full attack.
