That sentence (I made bold in your post) sums up Trump to perfection. Trump is what your parents, teachers, friends, clergy, etc., told you NOT to be. He's broken at least 9 of 10 Commandments (and maybe all ten, at least by proxy) and all Seven Deadlies. It's come as a harsh realization to me that so many people are so ignorant or are themselves so nasty that they cannot see that Trump is a corrupt, totally self-serving, pathologically mendacious, serial philandering, vindictive, misogynistic, racist, fascist, woefully insecure scum-sucking pile of human filth. "Evil" certainly fits. I have no doubt he would be even worse, if he thought he could get away with it. When he Tweets about executing people who criticize him or do things like remind serving military members of the actual rules, or calls people traitors simply for saying he's ill, I know full well he would execute critics if allowed. Up to now the institutions have put limits on his evil proclivities. The good news is that his mental and physical decline is accelerating, so we are not likely to have him around for much longer. He ought to load up on SPF666, because where he's going won't be kind to that pink and orange skin.

Try as I might to sift through Trump's wild hyperbole and outright lies, I can't quite make sense of the supposed disaster he inherited, nor was I aware that the US was 'dead' under Biden. I look at the numbers.....growth was higher under Biden, employment much better, inflation when Biden left lower than today. Yes, Trump has kicked out many undocumented workers (employed by the Donor Class, who are apparently above the law), but the vast majority of migrants working were employed harvesting crops, dressing meats, and doing housekeeping and kitchen work in places like Mar-a-Lago and Bedminster. I don't see MAGAs rushing to fill those strawberry picking jobs. So what did Trump fix that was wrong? MAGAs like higher UE? Lower growth? Higher food prices? Lost medical care? I don't have any prescriptions, but I might get some now, as Trump says he's going to pay us for getting them. There is no other way to parse "600% drop in prices". I guess that will be beer money, when I get me some of those Trumpian prescriptions. I do remember that despite the US' faults, it did try to be a force for good in the world, with large amounts of foreign aid for such things as food and medicine for the less fortunate. That's all gone under Trump. Generosity is dead. So, too, is the US' reputation. Trump demands credit for stopping the non-existent war between Cambodia and Armenia, but he's doing his level best to start a war with Venezuela. We have to take his word for it the hundred plus people he's killed on boats were actually running drugs, despite the fact those small boats with a dozen passengers probably couldn't even cover Donny, Jr. sniffle habit nor the previous heroin addiction of Trump's Health Tsar. Trump's Carnival People Administration, in just the FBI, fired centuries' worth of institutional expertise in rooting out terrorists, stopping terror acts, infiltrating organized crime, going after serial killers and kiddie fiddlers, all because they didn't vote for Trump. The effects of that will be felt over time. I know the agency has also lost centuries worth of expertise and many of its most productive officers, who have left both the agency and many also left the US. The US has also lost almost all of the liaison relationships it had, because nobody trusts Trump, whether that's MI6, the BRD or Japanese NPA. Five Eyes is now kind of blind. Maybe Judge Cannon found no fault with Trump's theft of classified documents, but foreign intel services do. I am of the opinion, based on my own anecdotal evidence, that respect or admiration for the US has tumbled since January. In my travels, when folks ask me where I'm from, invariably their response is "WTF is going on with that guy?" I have seen polls where the opinion of the US has sunk to new lows, in stark contrast to even a year ago. So maybe some up to speed MAGAs can educate me on why the US was "dead" until 20 January. Personally, everything I liked about the US and was proud to serve it is dead now, but it was alive and well back in December 2024. I would never serve again. I have friends who became---in Trumpian vernacular---suckers and losers. Well, Never Again. Let MAGAs put their bone spurs on the line hitting the beaches of Venezuela...or maybe Canada or Greenland.

You're assuming other Administrations were as corrupt and vindictive as Trump. That's your error, though an understandable one for a MAGA cultist. Administrations that follow the rules know that an ongoing investigation means info must remain secret, lest it influence the investigation or court proceedings. The Epstein case included his partner in crime Ghislaine Maxwell, and her trial and sentencing only ended relatively recently. It would have been prejudicial to release or leak anything about the case or Epstein while the partner Maxwell was being prosecuted. Previous Administrations followed the law and acted responsibly, as adults. That sort of behavior would be totally out of character for the childish, vindictive, convicted felon Trump.

MAGAs have a choice, neither of which is good for the brand. It's an undeniable fact that Trump and Epstein were close friends for several decades. So...either Trump knew full well about Epstein's behavior and still called him "a great guy", or else Trump is such a poor judge of character that he never picked up on Epstein's behavior. In other words, Trump is an idiot. Those are the two 'best case' scenarios. Worse scenarios are that Trump participated. BTW, ANYBODY who participated plus anybody who knew the truth yet chose to ignore it, should face consequences.

Since you're not economically savvy, I'll try my best to help. Trump ran up $8,400.000.000.000 in new debt during his first term. That's $25,000 for every American. MAGAs might think inflation is like a light switch, but people with intellect know inflation is a process. It doesn't start in one day. That new $25,000 per person takes time to filter through the economy. Biden just happened to be POTUS when the effect of Trump's spendthrift behavior showed up. Biden did get it down to around 2.3% when he left office. It has since risen, as Trump's tariffs have a much more immediate impact than new debt. The effects filter through to prices much faster.

Perhaps you've forgotten, as you might have been on public assistance back then and not gainfully employed nor with bank accounts and investments, but..... A little thing happened in 2008 called the Financial Crisis. Banks loaded up on subprime loans, giving mortgages to people with 450 FICO scores whose monthly income failed to cover their mortgage. Those mortgages got packaged into CDOs and CDO Squareds, and then IBs built synthetic CDO Squareds with CDS yield enhancers, which many fund managers and insurance companies bought en masse. Obama inherited that mess, and in March of 200, the world's financial system was days away from total collapse, along with the insurance industry. Obama forced banks to slash leverage and issue new capital, and he backstopped banks and auto companies. The world was saved. It took time to recover, but recover it did, but when Obama left office the market was at new highs, UE had fallen to 4.8% and the economy was growing. Trump inherited that, and then proceeded to blow it, leaving true carnage for Biden to clean up. Trump is doing what he does best now...blowing it yet again.

Though the government was closed, so GDP data has been hidden, it looks like things are slowing. Now let's look at the American Carnage Trump left for Biden in 2017.... Trump left Unemployment of 6.8% (after inheriting 4.8% from Obama) and a Recession (after Obama left Trump a growing economy). Oh, and the Federal Deficit for the current Fiscal Year will be $1,830,000,000,000, and perhaps higher. Trump also claimed Biden left an international mess. Biden started the Ukraine War? Hamas? Well, Russia is still trying to invade Ukraine, Gaza remains a mess and far from solved, the West Bank is worse than last year, Thailand and Cambodia are sort of at war, there's a possible war starting between the US and Venezuela.... But we certainly can all be thankful that the Cambodia-Armenia War is over as is Azajababadadan and Albania.

What MAGAs call some "syndrome", real Americans call it Patriotism. Difficult as it might be to understand, Trump is the antithesis of everything America is supposed to be.
