UK Faces Potential Food Riots Amid System Vulnerabilities and severe weather
Fair response. Which AI engine did that? You could add that imports of animal feed, we'd eat a lot less pork and chicken, and eat a lot more grass fed animals (beef, lamb). We wouldn't starve, but there would be an increase in deficiency diseases, like Ricketts, Derby Throat, and likely an increase in infectious disease, as a result of weakened immune systems.

I never saw riots during that first lockdown, March 2020, and Sainsburys was down to a packet of frozen prawns. We'd just live on Pot Noodles and sardines.

Iran says US and Israel strikes hit school, killing 108
Er, idiot. Arabic countries speak Arabic as the main language. The major language of Iran is Farsi. Only 4 countries apply Sharia as the supreme law; Saudi Arabia (Arabic), Sudan (Arabic), Iran (not Arabic), Afghanistan (not Arabic). Other countries have dual systems, with Sharia, so these must be, for you, all Arabic; Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Nigeria, as well as the Gulf states. Bet your sort just thinks of them as "ragheads", "camel jockeys" "abduls" etc. Your second comment/question is also idiotic. You don't think members of the IRGC have families, have kids, including daughters? The "example" I cite is the <deleted> bombed kid's school you are bitching about. Are you some sort of sick f**ker trying to justify the bombing of a school because it's a terrorist training camp. GTFO.

Luxury Dubai hotel hit as Iran launches retaliatory strikes across region
France has extremely substantial presence in its overseas Departments and Francophone allies. British bases in Eastern Europe, Bahrain, Cyprus, and Singapore are all about prepositioning assets. Britain doesn't keep an "elite" team in Nepal. It provides a recruitment and welfare hub. You made that up out of ignorance. Nepal has never been a British possession, but India and the UK both recruit there. Maybe you think China and Russia countries'' allied to the US; I am aghast at your ignorance in this respect. You requested a listing of nuclear powers. I could also add Pakistan which maintains a presence in Saudi Arabia.

EU Allows Social Funds to Support Abortion Access
Actually pretty straightforward using a combination of hospital registry data (admissions due to post-abortion complications), surveys. There will be multiplier assumptions built in, but far from impossible to determine.

The Gulf States have to tread carefully. The Gulf States and Eastern seaboard of Saudi Arabia have substantive Shia populations. Bahrain has a majority Shi'ite population. The old Shah claimed Bahrain as an Iranian province, and so has the Islamic Republic. I was in Bahrain in 1981 when Iran invaded; it happened, it wasn't reported and I know the chaps who mustered BDF units to drive off the Iranians. But back in the day, when you wandered into villages like A'ali, it was pretty clear who they spiritually backed. The Shia was treated like <deleted>; I knew of good men in the Bahraini Army passed over for promotion because of their religion. The 2011 uprisings were Shia. Most of the police are Sunni recruits from Baluchistan or Syria, including Salafists. So much so, that in Hamed Town (basically cop town), ISIS flags were being displayed. The Gulf States know, like Vietnam, the Americans will lose interest. They still have to live next to Iran. And Iran was just as bad to them when the Shah was about.

Pilot who helped capture Maduro honored by Trump
Historically, the most MoHs are awarded about 8-12 months after the action, not just a few weeks. So a highly politicised award. Unfortunate for the Chief's bravery and moment to be hijacked by a man, who when given the same opportunity to serve his country, reportedly displayed a yellow streak a mile wide and 6 feet deep.

ISRAEL ATTACKS IRAN!
There is a suggestion its a down defensive weapon that caused the damage. Not defending Iranian offensive policies. There is no information I have seen to indicate who was targeting that city; you seem to have insider information that it was the US and not Israel. Only Iran is saying it was the US. Both sides are acting recklessly and without regard to civilian casualties. The onus is on the US and Israel, with their greater US provided targeting capabiities, to achieve a higher standard. The US should be near instant in expressing, in the strongest terms, regret at such incidents, as well as a commitment for root and branch investigation. There is no fog of war, because its not a war. These targets have been planned, gamed, planned, gamed for months.

Unsubstantiated claim that Trump abused minor in Epstein Files
It was alleged Mandelson was preparing to flee to BVI. Lindsay Hoyle tipped the police off. Released Under Investigation (AMW) means there is no fixed date for you to attend further interviews at the police station, and there are no particular restrictions. Released On Bail means there is a set future date, and there are restrictions what you can do, Mandelson had to surrender his passport. He is set to go back in May.

Iran says US and Israel strikes hit school, killing 108
Strong accusation. Are you saying that the people who operate Liberty Intermediate School and Lakenheath High School are terrorists? The school hit was constructed for children of members of the Iranian military, more precisely the IRGCN. This Navy organisation operates coastal artillery and corvettes, as well as numerous smaller craft, mostly used in smuggling interdiction. I went to British military and US military schools, constructed in or alongside military facilities. Were the decisions to build these schools an attempt to use human shields, and that 15 year old me was a human shield? Or its ok for some countries to have schools on military bases, but not ok for other countries. https://www.facebook.com/LakenheathHS

Iran says US and Israel strikes hit school, killing 108
Ignorant response. Iran is not an Arabic country. Further, education for females in Iran is not a rare occurence, despite your stereotyping. Girls' education has faced challenges over the years, but is not rare. The Shajareh Tayyebeh IRGC Navy Girls’ School is situated in a corner, by two main roads, of a large area designated as the Asef Guards Barracks, which functions as a part of the IRGC Naval Health Command. ISRAEL ATTACKS IRAN!
Most countries will have civilian infrastructure right next door to military installations. eg Whitehall. Someone built the Pentagon next door to a Popeye's Fast Food outlet. RAF Mildenhall used to be an airfield. Now its an airbase complete with kindergartens, elementary schools and high schools. Do you seriously believe those schools were placed on the base to act as human shields?? As for the precise location of the Iranian barracks; you have no idea where it is. You've been told there is one in Minab, a provincial capital of 73,000 souls. You've been told its next door to a school, but you can't actually show the location of either. Ok, so what is the full name of the school? The Shajare Tayyebeh IRGC Navy Girls’ School. Clearly the Iranian version of a UK Forces School, or a DoD school. I went to both. St Andrews and St Georges were just across the road from the Osborne Barracks, which was the main British miitary logistics hub (and now has the same function for the PLA). Bahrain High School occupies a site that was previously a school used by the Royal Navy. The surrounding area is thick with military infrastructure. Are you saying the US military is committing war crimes by buiding and operating schools for its service members where they live? The maps are from an Israeli source, so can't vouch for the accuracy. They show the school in the far corner of a compound, far from any obvious infrastructure. Perhaps they intended to take out the hospital instead?

Four Killed by Cuban Border Guards Were Cuban Nationals Living in US
The Cuban authorities have named the deceased, as well as those now in detention receiving medical treatment. A man named as Duniel Hernández Santos has been arrested in Cuba. He had reportedly been deported from the US in 2024. Several of the participants were on a list Cuba circulated to the UN, and the US authorities, in particular, Amijail Sánchez González and Leordan Enrique Cruz Gómez. The Cuban Foreign Ministry claimed that Cuban authorities had maintained communication with the US State Department and Coast Guard from the moment the vessel was detected, and that the US government had indicated willingness to cooperate in the investigation. Why Britain beats America at comedy
Obviously you've never watched Blackadder, Yes Minister, the original The Office, Peep Show, The Thick of It, Spaced, Fawlty Towers, Alan Partridge, The League of Gentlemen. Americans don't understand sarcasm nor irony, so all they remember from Fawlty Towers is Basil goosestepping.

A total distortion of the case. He was reported by a fellow officer on that group. He wasn't cracking jokes.

Why Britain beats America at comedy
"Are You Being Served" was a curiously frequently requested show on PBS in the Southern States among middle aged women. They also find Keeping Up Appearances more funny than it actually was. Interesting comparison between Steptoe and Son and Sanford and Son

Decorated London Bridge Detective Sacked Over ‘Pikey’ Messages
No it wouldn't. As a non-British person, you would have only seen a highly selected version of British comedy. Most of it you would have been oblivious to. And you might not have noticed the well known British sitcoms that were remade for foreign audiences, such as Sanford and Son. Snatch wouldn't be made the same now, but even in 2000 it was taking the piss out of the people who laughed at the jokes in that film.

Decorated London Bridge Detective Sacked Over ‘Pikey’ Messages
It is not a case that it would not be "allowed" to be made. It wouldn't be made in the same way as 26 years ago. The film, with its casting and soundtrack, was aimed at the 25-35 demographic (Generation X). The audience who watched it then first time, are now approaching pensionable age, perhaps even dead due to natural causes. A 2026 version would be aimed at today's 25-35 year olds, or millennials. If the film was made in 1975, it would have been very different again. Imagining what a 1975 and 2026 would be be like would be quite an interesting exercise. 1975 Mickey also wouldn't have used an Irish actor, but likely framed around a Traveller with a Cockney-type accent, lovable rogue types, like Ian McShane. In 2026, there is no shortage of charismatic young Irish actors, such as Barry Keoghan. Brad Pitt, or some other American actor, would never have landed the role of Mickey "One Punch" for a start (Colin Farrell would have been better first time around). Likely the Traveller characters represented would have been more humanised than they were portrayed. The Roma steroetypes would be toned down. Turkish and Tommy’s dialogue that included casual homophobia, misogyny, and other language would be toned down. Humour changes quite markedly from generation to generation. Laurel and Hardy dated quickly. The Carry On joke wore thin. Older people find the original "The Office" completely unfunny.

Lord Mandelson Arrested Over Public Office Misconduct
Evidence exists in Emails and oter documents. Likely other countries have the so-called Epstein files, with different redaction requirements. But as for AMW, the arrest of Mandelson means how the media, and the public, can discuss the details of the case changes. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/60d4a59dd3bf7f7c3716c60d/Contempt_of_court_-_fact_sheet.pdf
