Correct. Warranties usually expire when you leave the shop. Lazada and Shopee are OK most times. I have had successful refunds from various companies over the years by carefully worded emails to the correct people.

Yes, I found out that Libre Office cannot follow say currency exchange rates without a lot of hassle, so use Google Sheets, which makes it very easy. I used OneDrive for years very successfully, no problems, data available anywhere on any device. Now gone over to Google Drive, same same. Or MEGA nz is another alternative without using Google. W11 is MUCH BETTERR than W10 for me, but decided it was time to try Linux after reading and watching Y Tubes. It works perfectly after a bit of learning. You can actually say which radius you want the corners of your taskbar and windows to be!!!

Linux Distros , Mint & Zorin, are free, as are most others, and so are most apps. I have been on W11 Pro since it came out, and yes, it works OK, but at a cost, like $99 for 365 aka Office. What are you going onto when you do give Windows the boot.

Not up to what? After over 30 years on Windows, and a career in music production and hotel management, I think my computing capabilities are adequate. My attention span is far more than the 4 days I trieid to get the basic Zorin to work as I want it. I have better things to do.

Thanks Charlie. Been there and done it all. Could not get Hypnotix, Weston, Waydroid to work after HOURS of chatting with Gemini and cutting/pasting the sudo commands. Mega seems to work OK. I gave up and back to W11.

Yes, I have W11 working just as I want it after years of tweaking and knowledge of how to do things. There are many programs for Linux out there as well, the ones I have tried seem equivalent to the Windows versions. Unfortunatly we cannot all have our own servers .
