Wise words- as ever it pays to try to embrace Thai culture and understand that here things are often not as they were in one's home country

I was thinking the same! Compared to what I read on other posts on here I live a very dull sheltered life in Bkk

I agree- and try to learn about local culture so that hopefully you will not cause upset or annoynace. Of course it goes without saying that if you are under the influence of substances/alcohol you really are skating on thin ice

How can anyone ever suggest a lawyer would ever be naughty? Reminds me of the words of William Shakespeare in Henry VI when he wrote " The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers" - such a terrible thing to write- I think his writings will not be popular - lol !!

My thoughts entirely- overall a series of poor decisions - he is fortunate to apparently only have suffered the indignity of being famous online- until the next video appears of a similar situation- and I am sure we will not have to wait long for such a further video to appear

It is indeed a serious condition- and for many of us sadly the only cure seems to be to stay here and suffer even more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree - the government on Thailand needs to wake up to the fact that it also has neighbours whose pricing is very competitive for products that are more or less the same quality

My pleasure - I feel it is a neutral way to describe a group in society that are often criticised heavily and from my experience somewhat unfairly

I truly hope we are not heading for more war The loss of life and destruction cannot be justified when all parties need to sit down and negotiate

Made me smile I am moving to UT with my gf in May Bought some land at a very reasonable price and will finally settle down and build a new home My experience of UT is that of course it is very rural- and the peace of the rural areas appeals to me after many years of the madness that is London and latterly Bangkok Each to their own and I am sure many having a great time in Bkk will tell me I am old boring etc. I just know when I am ready for a change - and UT has a quiet rural charm that appeals to one who has lived all his long life in London and recently Bkk

Indeed- we all have read if you attack one LB you will quickly find yourself outnumbered. I think he was fortunate to apparently sustain modest injuries

I , like many others on here I am sure, have live a varied and interesting life But Thailand just has what it takes for me to feel happy and at home
