Is Thailand a Place of Double Standards, or Is That Overstated?
Wise words- as ever it pays to try to embrace Thai culture and understand that here things are often not as they were in one's home country
-
Still don’t think they’re following you, Bunky?
I was thinking the same! Compared to what I read on other posts on here I live a very dull sheltered life in Bkk

Is Southeast Asia Really That Safe?
I agree- and try to learn about local culture so that hopefully you will not cause upset or annoynace. Of course it goes without saying that if you are under the influence of substances/alcohol you really are skating on thin ice

Court Returns 77 Million Baht Seized Assets to Lawyer and Wife in Fraud Case
How can anyone ever suggest a lawyer would ever be naughty? Reminds me of the words of William Shakespeare in Henry VI when he wrote " The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers" - such a terrible thing to write- I think his writings will not be popular - lol !!

German Tourist Assaulted by a Group of Thai Ladyboys on Pattaya Beach Road
My thoughts entirely- overall a series of poor decisions - he is fortunate to apparently only have suffered the indignity of being famous online- until the next video appears of a similar situation- and I am sure we will not have to wait long for such a further video to appear

Thai Rice Exports Fall 17.5% as Baht Strengthens
I agree - the government on Thailand needs to wake up to the fact that it also has neighbours whose pricing is very competitive for products that are more or less the same quality

Latest on Udon Thani
Made me smile I am moving to UT with my gf in May Bought some land at a very reasonable price and will finally settle down and build a new home My experience of UT is that of course it is very rural- and the peace of the rural areas appeals to me after many years of the madness that is London and latterly Bangkok Each to their own and I am sure many having a great time in Bkk will tell me I am old boring etc. I just know when I am ready for a change - and UT has a quiet rural charm that appeals to one who has lived all his long life in London and recently Bkk

Rubbish Cleanup Underway on Pattaya's Jomtien Beach
My thoughts as well The resorts have a vested interest in ensuring that the beach is clean and there to be enjoyed by everyone Labour here is not expensive as we all know- so surely organising a daily clean up would not be too expensive or too difficult to aarrange?

Similan Islands Close Swimming Area Due to Jellyfish Warning

He got lost several times- even though it was to a well known theatre in the centre of Bkk At the end he wanted 2000 - I told him very firmly I would pay 200 and that he was lucky to get that Crazy really but then TIT
