  1. Surprise surprise - Trump causes worry and problems
  2. My limited experience has shown that Thai hospitals really are excellent As to staff- well we are all human and there are good and bad in all health services in all countries Overall though I rate Thai hospitals as being easily as good as the NHS in the UK- spoken by one whose life was saved by the NHS some years ago
  3. But this would mean 4 mother in laws!!! A nightmare!!
  4. Money talks- and bad people walk It happens all over the World really
  5. Praising Cambodia is a certain way to provoke a strong reaction Maybe he should go to Cambodia, get drunk there and praise Thailand?
  6. The perfect plan to silence the 34 times convicted felon, and adjudicated rapist
  7. I always prefer face to face discussions if possible!
  8. I had similar issues with BB and had to travel from Bkk to Pattaya to sort it out- as the account had been opened in Pattaya Overall a pain but as others have posted- best to stay calm It is not fair to have a go at the staff- a bit like me as a lawyer- I am often told off by an unhappy client as the law was against the client It is so easy to blame the messenger when the recipient does not like the message And after all the hassle- we all wake up the next day in Thailand- which makes the hassle worth it rather than waking up in freezing UK and the joys of Starmer et al!
  9. I agree entirely- controls are all well and good- but the market will find the right value over time
  10. A very dubious explanation for his actions Sounds familiar to the many such excuses I was given by clients who always alleged they were "fitted up" by the police/friends/strangers etc to explain carrying knives, drugs and so on when I was based in London rather than being now in Bangkok
  11. Wise words and to be respected When out in Bkk I frequently see drunk Western tourists causing trouble It is almost as if they sit down, work out the best way to ruin other people's evenings - and then go ahead and try to do it! Crazy crazy crazy
  12. Technology moves on so fast - look at all the facilities that we take for granted with our modern mobiles Remember when mobile phones had batteries that always ran out alarmingly quickly? EV will progress at a similar rate- and when replacement batteries are available at a low price the future of ICE cars really will be written on the wall W written by a sad petrol head who lives all the time in Bangkok but still has in the UK a Corvette C3 with a 383 Stroker engine- the only thing it will not pass is a petrol station!!
  13. Frankly are we surprised that a man of wealth and influence is able to manipulate evidence I have had similar cases in England- a place where bribery is supposed to be non- existent!
  14. It is so difficult to commit to one lady here- when beautiful ladies are everywhere Last night on the BTS while standing (of course!) I glanced around the carriage There were at least 5 ladies in there who could easily earn a good living as a model Very different on the London Underground in the evening I can assure you!
  15. Some years ago now I acted for the widow of a lovely client called Dave Dave was a 4th Dan at Karate - he taught Karate in his spare time and it would be fair to say at 6 foot and 15 stone he was capable of looking after himself He was in a shop and saw a 13 year old school boy put some sweets in his school bag clearly with the intent of stealing some sweets He approached the boy to tell him to put the sweets back The boy immediately lunged at Dave with what proved to be a sharpened screwdriver which pierced Dave's heart Dave died in the shop long before the ambulance arrived So if anyone is thinking of fighting a farang- or indeed anyone- my advice is turn the other cheek and walk away where possible Life is too short and the risk in a street fight of a disaster is ever present
  16. My understanding is that he agreed a transaction and then went back on his word Violence cannot be condoned- but if you want to avoid getting into difficult situations be aware that your behaviour can escalate in to ugly consequences
  17. There is nothing wrong with the lady in my view- she is just being very honest that she wants to play the field No doubt she has several sponsors and wants to enjoy herself while she is young and good looking I do not think she can be fairly criticised for being honest
  18. Please e mail me and I can help you with this- it is not difficult Jeremy jeremy[at]divorcelifeline.co.uk
