  1. Nuh - no one I know has ever heard of it.
  2. (6) Gerry Callahan on X: "This is perfect. ICE agent: “If you cared, you would care about the child who got raped and the person who got murdered by the guy we’re looking for. “ Awful, ugly white lady: “I don’t care.” The entire insane national debate encapsulated in 20 sec. https://t.co/sYMBU6lIhp" / X
  3. I tend to agree. PP is going to be heavily hit when the NACC finalises the court case so best not to partner with them, and PT is politically dying so why would Anutin throw them a lifeline? Klatham is definitely aligned right wind conservative - and like BJT and Anutin they were aligned with the Prayat Group/s. Looks to me like PP will have to see what happens after the NACC court case, and PT might be willing to form a coalition in Opposition. Quite frankly that would be the best for Thailand - all the centre right wing parties combine into one big one, and the centre left parties all do the same. Most western Democracies are 2 Party systems - works far better than the small coalitions of conflicting and scheming Parties who are forever screwing each other over, and disbanding and reforming.
  4. The answer and solution is to do what Australia did to remove all the fraud (and allegatins of fraud like in USA). Create a Federal electoral roll and manage it Federally by a semi-autonomous Agency. Only those people on the roll can vote - each voting location gets a copy of the roll for that Electorate/State. No need for ID or Photo to vote. But to get on the electoral roll, so that you can vote, you have to apply - and you may be required to provide evidence you are a Citizen.
  5. BJT has surprised everyone - I was expecting them to win, but not by such a large margin. I was very surprised to see PT lost all the seats in Chiang Mai - they have been totally rejected, like the Democrats were decades ago after being the Govt.
  6. Probably a good read - I guess we will see shortly.
  7. That he was allowed to be in Parliament because the offence was overseas (Australia) and not in Thailand, speaks volumes about how corrupt and incompetent the political and legal system is here in Thailand. This is not a first world country - not by a long way when the main measure used is Law and Order - which is what separates Civilised Nations from the others.
  8. They will disagree mate and say you are wrong - but they wont provide any proof or fact, because there is none. They will either say some rubbish, or they will insult you and run away.
  9. Oh the humanity - How can we possible live like this - Oh My God 😁😁 I remember when Trump was POTUS 2016-2020 and he had all sorts of racist and insulting media attacks thrown at him (and us) - including where his head was cut off and held up for all to see, and another were he was assassinated like Caesar, and multiple Nazi and Hitler portrayals, and so many more atrocious things. Where was the media driven outrage then? I will tell you - the same place it was when Obama detained and deported millions of illegals - NOWHERE. You wokes only get outraged by what the media tell you to get outraged about - the hive mind is at work again - day after day. ROFLOL 😁😁 Suck it up Princesses of the Left. You Wokes set the bar and Trump and us are all playing it down to your level.
  10. In Thailand they call just about everything a 'factory' and most of the existing and new ones were not manufacturers as in the West, but re-packagers of mainly Chinese products for on-sale to USA and other markets. The way too high Baht has caused a lot of problems for the economy, including these easy open easy close 'factories'. Anutin as PM has done a good job to lower the Baht - whoever forms Govt after today, I hope they crash the Baht at least 20% and reset the economy. Screw the rich elite wanting a high Baht and the forget the BS numbers of BS driven low-quality tourists - that is not working and never will. Thailand must change direction and match Vietnam and Indonesia directions - or 2026 will be the year looked back upon as when the Thailand economy crashed and burned. The Sex/pat industry and millions of low-quality Indian, Chinese, Russian and Arab tourists, will not save Thailand.
  11. Here we go again - a corrupt incompetent system of Government 'asks' the People who they want to represent them in the running of the country. I think it is obvious the outcome will be a coalition Government. IMO the best option will be Bhumjaithai as the main Party with Anutin as the PM, and People's Party as the other coalition member and Natthaphong as deputy PM. IMO the second best option would be PP as the main Party with Natthaphong as the PM, and BJT as the other coalition member with Anutin as the Deputy PM. As long as Phue Thai, Democrats and the Military Parties are not in Government, that will be a good thing long term.
  12. The media cannot do that in Thailand. Defamation Laws here mean they would be sued.
  13. It was a text message not a letter. But facts just dont come into your thinking - 3 little letters?
  14. The recording of the Phone Call? Or the Military Actions taken?
  15. Did you reads those links I provided that proved you wrong?? Obviously not. The Secretary talked about how Politicians put pressure on the Committee Members NOT to vote for certain candidates at times - and that they voted for Obama for political reasons - not for what he had done/achieved. Your claims they are not influenced is patently wrong. And anyone with any knowledge about politics knows that there is influence being applied in all things - Trump knows that certain people pressured the Committee members not to select him - in maybe 15-20 years someone else who no longer is involved will do that the past Secretary did and speak out. And this will completely shake your ignorance - maybe for the better - I do not believe Trump should be been selected - and I have never said he should have been. I pointed out the FACTS - there is and was political pressure being applied as Trump claimed - and your claim the Committee members are never influenced are completely at odds with reality. I cannot say the 3 letters involved but they are obvious. Goodbye and have a great life.
  16. Love it. Sarcasm and Wit flies straight over these bloke's head.
  17. This guy has a cat as his avatar - is it a woke liberal ??
  18. I think Anutin saw the event as an opportunity and played the game far better than the PT or PP did. PP should have agreed to take over the PM role and then used that period to show the people they can run the country. Instead they were politically immature and stupid - assuming that they would be the 'winner' at the next election with PT in such a bad shape. 24 hours is a long time in politics - Anutin agreed to an early election, on the basis that he believed that would give Himself and his Party the time to prove their abilities, and to prepare the ground for the election. BJT were also the smartest during the Senate elections and ended up with a lot more 'aligned' Senators than the other Parties. I recall some years ago when I had a 'debate' with a high profile Expat Youtuber when I claimed that Anutin would be the PM one day. He was adamant that Anutin would never be PM and we 'went at it a bit'. When I sent him a note when Anutin became PM he never replied - and blocked me from his channel. There are many Expats here who have been here for many years and have been involved in many things - but they have absolutely no idea how politics (and business) really works.
  19. We have played golf there - hope to get in another game - and at a few of the other golf courses around Chiang Mai. IMO Chiang Mai Tourism should turn itself into the golfing capital of Thailand. There are more and overall better golf courses there than is any other location in Thailand. There are more in total in Chonburi - but they are all a long way to travel in time and via very busy inadequate roads. Plus they are very much over-priced compared to Chiang Mai. But then again - if it became popular the Thais would put the prices up to make more money. Best to keep it an Expat's secret - the best place to go for an extended golfing holiday in Thailand - great courses, easy to get to and around, cheaper and less busy than anywhere else.
  20. Cheers - and I think that over time betting and casinos will become legal - and then we can all have a bet on the result.
  21. You are so wrong - FACT. It becomes annoying when 'debating' things with people who have absolutely no idea what they are talking about, nor how the political game is played. Below is a link to an article about the 'failure' and the 'mistake' in the award of the Peace Prize to Obama as stated by Geir Lundestad the Secretary (Chairman) of the Nobel Committee when he broke the long standing deal of never talking about Committee decisions. Read it and learn something. Besides the obvious realities he talks about, please note this comment : According to Mr Lundestad, Jonas Gahr Store, then Norway's foreign minister, tried in 2010 to dissuade the panel from awarding the prize to a Chinese dissident, And this one : Mr Lundestad also criticises Thorbjorn Jagland, who was the committee chairman for six years and is now a regular member. He said that as a former Norwegian prime minister, Mr Jagland should never have been appointed to the committee And this one : Mr Lundestad served as the committee's influential, but non-voting, secretary from 1990 to 2015. Nobel secretary regrets Obama peace prize - BBC News BBC NewsNobel secretary regrets Obama peace prizeThe decision to award the Nobel Peace Prize to US President Barack Obama in 2009 failed to live up to expectations, the committee's ex-secretary says.
  22. You missed the point - one deal at a time. Trump never agreed to maintain tariffs at any set level forever. What he did say was that he would use tariffs to achieve diplomatic requirements - because trying to get things sorted through EU and UN is a waste of time.
  23. Yeh - that would be correct - Vietnam. I was thinking the Bushes and Iraq and 9/11 etc.
  24. We have lived in a few places in Thailand - Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Rayong, Khon Kaen, Chonburi (Si Racha) and Hua Hin. IMO Chiang Mai was the best place for us - had everything we needed (especially golf courses) and living is easy and there are lots of services and things for Expats (except the Pattaya stuff). But the annual smoke period became worse and worse - visiting next month and keen to see how it is now.
  25. A Bill has been suggested by a few Dem Members, and a few Dems with a couple of RINOs flew to Denmark for some sort of 'holding hands in Peace' press conference. Trump has stirred them up nicely - looking forward to seeing how things develop going forward. Is it all a distraction from all the Dem State frauds and election manipulations?
