  1. Any good options for donating a desktop PC? It has Windows 10 installed, which is end of support, Office 2019. I built it myself and it has had some upgrades over time. I was thinking of a charitable school or orphanage.
  2. That CPU looks pretty good and 70 FPS on a 2021 game is excellent. I put a Ryzen 5600X in my gaming PC a couple of years ago but the VGA card is still a GTX1060 and I already had a RTX3070 laptop and now I have a RTX5070 laptop. I would like to upgrade the VGA card to a Radeon RX 9070XT but they are a bit cost prohibitive at the moment and the laptop will let me play my favourite games at 1440p although only at 60Hz.
  3. Practice makes you better. I've been playing games since the 80s now I own two sim racing rigs, driving rally cars is my passion. Blazing Chrome and Huntdown are two good retro run n gun games.
  4. I bought my condo in Chiang Mai many years ago and had all the internal wiring replaced and chased into the walls. I had a new consumer unit fitted above the door. I didn't check, which is unlike me, what size/rating of cable was installed. I am assuming a higher rated cable for the electric shower. I did have a "4 foot" copper rod placed in the ground outside, I am on the 2nd floor (Thai), so it's not far to get to the ground outside. I've seen recently two new cable trunks from recently renovated condos going along the corridor ceiling to the electrical cupboard by the stairs where the main breakers and meters are. I have been running 2 induction stoves, sometimes whilst boiling a kettle but I know if I were to use my toaster oven the breaker would trip in the cupboard but not my consumer unit. It happened a couple of times in the past so I know now not to have 4 appliances on simultaneously. If I buy an oven rated at either 2300W or 3250W, the two I am looking at, I assume it will need to have a new dedicated circuit installed. It will have to be surface mounted. Is there a standard supply rating for condos? From what I can tell this condo was built around 1970 when people had a lot fewer electrical appliances. Do I need to contact PEA first? Am I likely to need a new circuit from the meter?
  5. My bike was stored like this whilst I was away and now I have started parking it inside the condo against a wall or with the headlamp away from the sun during the day. I just bought this so I will see how it works.
  6. Is anyone using this? I am on a regular 3BB/AIS fibre connection. 1Gbps/500Mbps package but I notice sometimes there is delay in opening websites. I am not sure if this is since I turned on secure DNS. I set Cloudfare's DNS servers in my router. I only have Firefox using it so I will start to test between all 3 browser, FF,Edge and Chrome. I mainly use testmy.net for speed testing as you can set it to auto run and they have a reaonable selection of servers.
  7. Wild Hog Chiang Mai I went there today. Best burger I have had in Chiang Mai and I don't say that sort of thing often.
  8. This is what I had used, My flapjacks came out OK, not as good as my mum's of course.
  9. What are people using here instead? I baked some flapjacks (UK) yesterday using something like golden syrup I bought from Makro. As syrupo was originally a waste product of sugar refining I assume Thailand must have lots of it considering Thailand is the 2nd biggest sugar producer after Brazil these days.
  10. Does anyone know which model of router 3BB are using? I saw the higher promotion have 2 routers, I assume working in mesh mode. I have an AX WiFi 6 router but now have a WiFi 7 laptop.
  11. I was away for 10 months and the bike was stored under a roof and with a cover on. Since I have been back it usually is outside the condo but I could keep it inside under the carpark roof. Maybe I will try something like this: UV Coating Car Headlight Restoration Fluid
  12. It has started again. Any suggestions for a way to protect it other than only parking it out of the sun?
  13. The silver lining for me with Monomax is that I can start a full match replay without seeing the score. Many sports streaming sites have the score on the thumbnail but a few, these include SonyLiv and JioHotstar which I have for CL and PL in India. And It is a chance for me to improve my Thai. ;-)
  14. Well I just put the oven on, preparing to bake some humbe pie. I went to the same desk in the True/DTAC shop in Central Airport Chiang Mai. I spoke to the same person I did when I'd just returned to Thailand. She took my Poco phone which had the DTAC SIM in it. Did something on her computer and said there you go 5G. I switched the SIM back to my OnePlus phone and also got 5G on the 2600 MHz band. This is the info from the Netmonster app on the OnePlus Nord CE3.
  15. In the *#*#4636#*#* menu/settings Carrier type is NR/LTE/TDSCDMA/GSM/WCDM Here in the DTAC app it says 700 MHz but I don't know if the app text has just not been updated. A
  16. I don't know why I wasn't subscribed to this topic. I will fix that. I am back in Chiang Mai and just tried my Poco X6 Pro which the specs says supports the right bands but if I choose manual select I only see up to 4G options. I don't really fancy my chances of getting anywhere at a regular DTAC/True shop.
  17. Well I guess that makes sense. I do have a Hotstar subscription which is what I use in India but they just changed the search results so you don't get the replay before the highlights tiles which shows the score. I have never really understood why all sports streaming channels don't have a no spoliers video page. Even my own team's portal which I pay for doesn't and that has all the games next day.
  18. I was planning to order a Keychron keyboards, I'm in Chiang Mai, but now I'm going to be in Bangkok for a few days this coming week and found out there's a Keychron shop in Central Westgate. Has anyone been there recently? Do they have a large range of keyboards to try? I am planning to get this one unless another seems a better fit for me. Keychron V6
  19. I only recently returned to Thailand so this Premier League season it's Monomax. All was great for the live games but now for the first time I am watching a replay from a game from last night and it is only available with Thai audio. Is this how it is for replays?
  20. I'm making the point that the same phone before the merger used to work. That's all. The frequency link was just stating n7 being 2600 MHz. Sorry. I'm not trying to be antagonistic. I have a Poco X6 Pro that has been serving as a SIM card holder as I didn't like the HyperOS interface but I guess it will get a run out now.
  21. https://www.frequencycheck.com/bands/5g-nr-band-7-2600 The phone doesn't have n7 which is 2600 MHz which is what the new One Network uses. https://www.oneplus.in/nord-ce-3-5g/specs
  22. Maybe here: https://www.maximumsoundshop.com/
  23. I recently arrived back in Thailand with my OnePlus Nord CE3 bought in India. Earlier in the year when I was here it used to connect to 5g but now it does not. It seems from the Nation article that they have switched to n7 2600 MHz which my phone does not support. Not a new article but still some interesting info. https://www.nokia.com/thought-leadership/articles/spectrum-bands-5g-world/
  24. Well I didn't get them done before I left and I am only just back but went to Piston after doing my insurance and tax in Nong Hoi and got a set of Pirelli Angel City tyres plus a valve for Bt 4400. Thanks for the tip @novacova
  25. I am in Chiang Mai. Where should I go to buy and have fitted a new set of tyres? Should I buy some and take them to a specialist place to fit them? Can a regular car place do it?
