I am considering upgrading my gaming desktop in which I installed a Ryzen 5600X a couple of years ago. Most sites recommend the RX 7800 XT or RTX 4070. As I am only in Thailand for up to 3 months a year and have a gaming laptop with an RTX 3070 I don't feel it's justified to get the RTX 4070. Although there was lots of bad reivews of the 8GB RTX 4060 I think it would be adequate for me as I only really play racing games. I hear from Thai friends that phishing calls and online scams are common. Maybe it's because people are not as sensible as they should be when buying things online. I hear lots of people buy things from social media rather than recognized online shopping sites that process the payments on behalf of the vendors with the option to cancel and be refunded. I rememer years back before Lazada/Shopee I often had to make transfer to compaines in Bangkok, never particlarly large amounts but always had to trust that the website was genuine. I think now I would be much more careful. I bought something from Shopee two days ago and decided to pay with QR code because I had set my bank account debit card limit too low. After purchase I messaged the seller who said the item wasn't in stock and would take 7-10 days which I decided could mean anything so decided to cancel. For card refunds they are just refunded directly to the card used but for the QR code payment I had to add my KBank account details to Shopee. Happily to refund was processed straight away and I received the money back later that day.

I took my Z250SL to my old mechanic and he suggested the starting problems, turns over, red oil light comes on, doesn't take could/is dirty injector and suggested I buy some cleaner. I am thinking of buying this STP injector cleaner. Is this a reasonable first action?

I just got back to Chiang Mai in time for the last two weekends of Premier League action, subscribed to TrueID and still can't work out how to navigate the TrueID app. Sometimes the back button my my remote wants to exit, sometimes it take you back to the previous screen. There used to be a section for Premier League but now I can't find it. Anyone got any tips? I am using a Mecool Android box that come with the app pre-installed.

I just registered here tm30.immigration.go.th but didn't have a scan of my title deeds or blue book (not official) so will get those today and send them off. Let's see what happens. Will be good for the future anyway as a friend is planning to stay here when I am not at some point this year.

A Thai friend suggested that somehow it is back dated to the arrival date in Thailand. My hypothetical question was what if you were to come on a camping trip in some of the national parks that allow camping. Would the "campsite" be doing it? I assume some people come and stay in a homestay kind of place and don't get registered and then move to a hotel or bigger guest where they do get registered.

A friend of mine came to stay with me in my condo in Chiang Mai and I wondered about doing the TM30 at the time even though I've never done one for someone else before but she thought she would leave Thailand within the 30 day limit. If she checks in at a guest house where they do the TM30 will she still be fined when she goes to do an extension. Is the paper she would get from the guest house enough for the visa exempt extension or does that paper get stamped at immigration to become a "full" TM30. She is planning to head to the beach.

I have the TrueID app on my Android tab and Mecool Android TV box. I found the TV Guide and scrolled back to the game which crosses dates, currently trying ti watch Liverpool v ManU from last night before my condo security guard who is a massve Pool fan tells me the score when I leave the condo to go out this evening. I can't get it to play. Is this because it is not a custom Android box from True? I do feel this app's inteface is a nightmare of poor UI/X design. The back button usually asked you if you want to close the app but in the tv guide it says go to browse channel or category. Glad I didn't see the gooner comment at the time. Didn't get to watch that game because it wasn't "uploaded" in the full replay section in the morning when i checked and I need to get the catch up games watched early so I can get on with my days.
