  1. Salsa is great as it's very active.

I love a good gym and one that has everything - good cardio equipment, weights, pool, cafe, boxing, bootcamps, steamrooms and a gym that gives you kit to train in so you dont need to carry your sweaty clothes to meetings after work.

I like to mix it up -Boxings my fav but I still swim and do a little weights (bodyweights).

I would love to see Bangkok set up better for outdoor fitness - Brisbane Aust is awesome for this

    Keep fit and train hard

  2. Sorry, I should of gone into more detail.

I need to do my 90 day reporting on July 15th. (this usually takes a few hours)

I am also going out of the country on July 22nd, i have a work permit, Imm B Visa so I need to get a re-entry visa as I dont have a multi entry visa.(I will need to get a re-entry permit in july, which will also take a few hours)

The reason I said it's crazy is that it's so far out of Bangkok (and if busy may take 2 trips) and I wondered whether not doing the 90 day reporting as I am leaving the country briefly 7 days after the reporting date.

    thanks

  3. Hello and thanks for reading

I am looking at buying a house (my parnter already owns the land in Bangkok so we agree it's a good idea to build on it).

    1) Can we get a joint loan as I being farang cannot own a house. (whats are the advantages of a joint loan?)

I believ you can get a loan of up to 70% of the value of the property)

    2) Must pay off the entire loan within 10 years, is this also correct?

Thanks, any tips, advice or companies for building the house would be great.

  4. My family (6 of them) will oversaty their 30 day tourist visa by 1 day.

Being 6 this could be Bt.3000 (6 at Bt.500 per day)

Is it better to go get an extention on their current visa(does this cost anything) or just pay for the 24hr overstay.

I heard somewhere that there was a 24hr allowance for overstay?? True?/

    Thank u

  5. You're right about Soi 16, in fact the shooting took place about 20 meters away from the condo building at the end of Soi Paisingto. I was at my balcony when 4 (it was exactly 4) shots were fired and people started wailing that someone was shot - could even hear them yelling the person's name and asking the victim to not 'fall asleep'. From where I was, I had direct line of sight from above and it actually happened at the front of a living compound (of a house).

Don't know if it was just a coincidence, but when I scanned to whole area (from high up), there was a car that left the area (about 30-50 meters away) from the shooting location a few second after I heard the shots.

Police and ambulance took about 10 mins to arrive (Por Tek Tung didn't get there first, surprisingly, but they did arrive eventually) and the police sealed off the area and they were clearly looking for shells. But between the shooting and the arrival of the Police, there was a lot of commotion and lots of people running in an out of that compound.

Never though I would witness a scene like this so close to home - a rude reminder that anything can happen here in Bangkok.

We must live in the same condo.

It was pretty much below us.

I think they were calling "Bank" but I cant recall now

  6. probably something to do with that ongoing dispute between vendors and land owners at KT Market?

I think there are alot of underground casinos and cock fighting rings in Klong toey, this was closer to soi 16 then the markets.

  7. At 2:30ish I woke to hear 4/5 shots fired in quick succsession (quess it was to people firing).

Klong Toey area. Police and ambulance all came and there was a fair comotion.

Anyone else hear or see it

    ???

  8. My website has some information about a bunch of camps. Every two weeks I feature a new camp, and provide my readers with a lot of important information about the camp. You can check it out at dansmuaythaimma.com

    Akira,

I'd love to read your article when you finish it. Send me a message through my site when it's done. Thanks man.

    Dan

Look at what YOU want from the trip. Do you to live and breathe like a Thai fighter.

Do you want to train, get fit, have fun and take in the Thai culture?

Fighting Spirit Gym in in the heart of Bangkok yet hidden from the busy streets. You can walk to pubs, shopping, river and Lumphini park.

There are plenty of places so work out what you want an dI am sure you wont be disapionted

  9. Am looking for a good reliable physio in Bangkok.

I have been to a couple and they really seem slack compared to Australia, just my experience.

I was told there is a really good one near Radjadapesek MRT.

    Thanks

  10. From my background most kung <deleted> or karate styles wont last against M.T or boxing.

Kung <deleted> - most arts do NOT train for real combat. They are a points scoring system that requires fast attacks that are ineffective in a real situation. google MT V's TWD. after 3 or 4 hard leg kick the TWD boy can even stand let alone fight.

Boxers have much better hands and timing but with the boxing profile (which is side on) they also can not stand the leg or body kicks.

No Style will always beat a certain style.

Look at BJJ - stand up they will get smashed against an average MT guy but they take you down and you cry like a school girl.

This is the longest running forum question (which style beats all others) I would say MT is right up there but NONE are the best

  11. Does anyone own one of these?

What are your thought, power, control. I will be using it mainly in bangkok but I want something with a little power to get me out of trouble

I hear they are also a pretty cheap bike too

A good bike indeed. AX1 engine in a enduro frame. What I never understood, why did´nt put Honda the good swingarm and discbrake in.

But it works like a Honda, means: Every day without any problems. I never feld, it´s to small. Only the suspension a little to soft.

So how much do these go for? Would you say they are ok for around Bangkok and the old 200km ride away??

Where can I get a look at them?

    Cheers
