  1. Always follow the order in the recipe when adding ingredients,
  2. I just thought I'd share my wholemeal bread recipe. It's never let me down. Breadmaker is Lahome, double paddle. It makes a 3lb/1.5 kg loaf. Add the ingredients in the order below. 520 ml Room temp water 4 tbsp oil 2 or 3 tsp salt. Place in corner of the pan 2 or 3 tbsp sugar. Place in opposite corner of the pan 3 cups/420 gms Bread flour 4 tbsp Milk powder 3 cups/420 gms Wholewheat flour 1.75 tsp Yeast Select menu No3 Select crust colour Select loaf size Press START
  3. I just remembered. Once the bread has finished baking, lift the lid of the machine and leave the bread to cool fully in the pan.
  4. I don't know what the problem could be, but it's important to put the ingredients in the pan in the same order as the recipe list.
  5. I've had the 3lb version for just over a year.Used every week, It's always produced great wholemeal bread.
  6. Hi everyone. Does anyone have any experience of this Bangkok Muay Thai venue. Is it even still open. I'd be grateful for any information.
  7. A friend of mine reccommended a new Indian resaurant next to Pat Rangsit Hospital at Rangsit. I decided to give it a go this afternoon. I had Butter Chicken, Bombay Aloo and Garlic Naan. Don't be put off by the venue (it's basically, a tent. The food was superb. The bill was 495 baht, including a beer. It's a new business, so they need all the support they can get.I'll definately be going back. If curry isn't your thing, then they also have great Australian dry aged steaks. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1CekwWe4su/
  8. I watched the first episode last night...........Really good. Thanks for the Heads Up Will27
  9. My truck is due a new set of tyres and I've heard good reports about Maxxis. I don't go offroad so I don't want anything too 'chunky', just a good 'all round' road tyre 255 60 18 Can anyone reccommend a Maxxis? Or any other brand. My budget is 20,000 baht. Thanks.
  10. Quick update. I tried the 7 x 9 teabag. There's more room for the leaves to brew, resulting in a stronger flavour.
  11. Empty teabags, with a drawstring. Put 2 tsp of loose tea inside the bag and pull the drawstring = 1 teabag. I found them on Lazada, 19 baht for 100. Better than Tetley or Typhoo? About the same colour, with a slightly different taste. I've found it very drinkable
  12. I ordered some Tata Gold on Lemonjelly's reccommendation. It was around 170 baht for 500gms on lazada. I also got some (Empty) tea bags. No need for a teapot. The tea's delicious.
  13. Thanks digbeth. At 67, I've missed that boat too 😁
  14. Hi Sheryl. Thanks for your reply. Around 12 years ago I started working for a large well known teaching agency in Bangkok. I had a work permit and paid tax on my salary. Unknown to me, the agency didn't register me for Thai SS. I knew nothing about the Thai SS scheme at the time. I was 59 by the time I found out about it. My wife made enquiries at the government office (Cheang Wattana). They said, at 59, I was to old to enter the SS scheme. Now 67, I'm still working. I now work for a very large private company. Still paying tax on my salary. I have heard that I could still be eligible for the Universal Coverage Scheme. As I understand it, I don't need to be part of the SS scheme to get these health benefits (No matter how small), I would just have a small amount of money deducted from my salary every month.
  15. Hi. I've lived and worked in Thailand for the past 20 years. I have a WP, pay tax, have a yellow TB and pink ID card. I also have health insurance provided by my employer. I don't (Because of my age) have Thai Social Security. I've recently heard that as a foreigner, I can pay a small sum every year, enabling me to get some kind of basic Thai healthcare. Is this true? If so, where should I apply?
  16. You can put lipstick on a pig..........But it's still a pig.
  17. Best line of the series: Roman guard outside amphitheatre; Oi!!!! You can't leave your horse there.
  18. No, nothing to do with online reporting. I needed to show a TM30 to get my Non IMM 'O' visa extension.
  19. Yeah....I was surprised too. It says on the info board at counter 'B' that it's a 2000baht fine. I'm not sure how they calculated 800baht
