  1. Quick update. I tried the 7 x 9 teabag. There's more room for the leaves to brew, resulting in a stronger flavour.
  2. Empty teabags, with a drawstring. Put 2 tsp of loose tea inside the bag and pull the drawstring = 1 teabag. I found them on Lazada, 19 baht for 100. Better than Tetley or Typhoo? About the same colour, with a slightly different taste. I've found it very drinkable
  3. I ordered some Tata Gold on Lemonjelly's reccommendation. It was around 170 baht for 500gms on lazada. I also got some (Empty) tea bags. No need for a teapot. The tea's delicious.
  4. But it would give him time to brush-up on his spelling 555.
  5. Watch the video...........100% BS
  6. What a POS. Beats up a man 45yrs older than him, and half his size. His family must be so proud.
  7. Thanks digbeth. At 67, I've missed that boat too 😁
  8. Hi Sheryl. Thanks for your reply. Around 12 years ago I started working for a large well known teaching agency in Bangkok. I had a work permit and paid tax on my salary. Unknown to me, the agency didn't register me for Thai SS. I knew nothing about the Thai SS scheme at the time. I was 59 by the time I found out about it. My wife made enquiries at the government office (Cheang Wattana). They said, at 59, I was to old to enter the SS scheme. Now 67, I'm still working. I now work for a very large private company. Still paying tax on my salary. I have heard that I could still be eligible for the Universal Coverage Scheme. As I understand it, I don't need to be part of the SS scheme to get these health benefits (No matter how small), I would just have a small amount of money deducted from my salary every month.
  9. Hi. I've lived and worked in Thailand for the past 20 years. I have a WP, pay tax, have a yellow TB and pink ID card. I also have health insurance provided by my employer. I don't (Because of my age) have Thai Social Security. I've recently heard that as a foreigner, I can pay a small sum every year, enabling me to get some kind of basic Thai healthcare. Is this true? If so, where should I apply?
  10. You can put lipstick on a pig..........But it's still a pig.
  11. I'd love to know who the 'Concerned Citizen' was. What was she 'Concerned' about? It's okay. I think I can guess.
  12. Yes....Drive through with care . Anticipating anyone who might want to cross the road.
  13. Best line of the series: Roman guard outside amphitheatre; Oi!!!! You can't leave your horse there.
  14. No, nothing to do with online reporting. I needed to show a TM30 to get my Non IMM 'O' visa extension.
  15. Yeah....I was surprised too. It says on the info board at counter 'B' that it's a 2000baht fine. I'm not sure how they calculated 800baht
  16. This appears to be the problem. I live with my wife, in Bangkok. I do my 90 day reports and yearly extension in Bangkok. However, I work in Pathum Thani and my work permit is issued in Pathum Thani. They don't want me to use my salary as proof of finance.
  17. Any recommendations in Bangkok?
  18. No. Not online reporting. I was extending my Non Imm 'O' visa, yesterday. Last month was my 90 day report (In person), never got asked for it. As TD has just said, Counter B (TM30) was rammed full yesterday. Oh....And my wife had to pay a fine for never filing a TM30 for me. 800 baht!! I made her pay. She wasn't happy 555
  19. @ Tod Daniels. Thanks for the information. So, I do regular 90 day reports, that show my address. I submit photos of my wife and I standing next to our house number. I have a yellow TB which shows proof of where I live.......... ............But still need a TM30. Quick....get me another hoop to jump through. 555
  20. I use CW. As far as I'm aware, we don't fill in the TM30. It should be filled in and submitted to immigration by the house owner/landlord. I've been extending my visa for the past 20 years, and this is the first time I've been asked for it.
  21. Quick question. Does my wife need to enter me on a TM30 if I already have a yellow tabien baan attached to the same house.
  22. So, if that's the case, why has this method been accepted for the past 6 years? Why was nothing said before? Can they not ask PT to check something if needed? Maybe I've been lucky in the past. TM30 is registered in Bangkok
  23. I truly believe that they want everyone to use an agent.
  24. Yes. The girl from HR said that she'd have a word with Pathum Thani and see if they would be happy to do it next time. That's where my work permit comes from. I find it hard to believe that there's no way for Bangkok office to check details with Pathum Thani, if they really need to......... ..........But, then again.........555
