  1. It was 20mg. Like Sheryl said, not all people suffer from the water retention side effect..........Only special people, like me 555
  2. Madiplot gave me water retention. My legs and feet swelled up significantly. The doctor adjusted my meds and everything returned to normal.
  3. I've used this one for a long time without any issues. Just copy and paste the URL. When asked, make sure you select 'Audio'.......Not 'Video'. It's very easy to use. Youtube Downloader - Convert & Download Youtube Videos - Y2Mate
  4. My wife and I had a problem with a truck we had bought. The issue couldn't be resolved between us and the dealer. We then contacted the makers head office in Bangkok and a meeting was set up between us, head office and the dealer. Still no agreement. After this we went to the Consumer Protection Board at Chaeng Watanna. Again, a meeting was set up between us and the dealer, with OCPB mediating. The dealer still didn't budge on the issue and left the meeting. The officer at OCPB suggested that we take the dealer to court and helped my wife to put our case together. On the day of the court case the dealer upped their offer to an additional 5 years free servicing including parts and labour (Worth 24,000 baht.....We were claiming 20,000), and VIP discount on any other work that needs carrying out over the 5 year period. Stick to your guns if you aren't happy. The OCPB are very sympathetic to consumer complaints. We've had the truck serviced twice at the dealership since the problem was resolved, and receive good service from them.
  5. Yes. I heard that too from a friend who works there. It's become a shadow of its former self.
  6. Black numbers against black wood? Won't that make it difficult to read?
  7. For the past 5 years I've been drinking 1 cup when I get to my office and another at lunchtime. I've never been a really big coffee drinker. I prefer a cup of PG tips (Tea).
  8. I have hypertension and arrhythmia, which are monitored and kept under control by my doctor. I've now decided to cut out drinking coffee. I only have 2-3 cups a day. One in the morning and one after lunch. I'd like to replace the coffee with some kind of herbal tea. I've heard that chamomile tea might be a good choice. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
  9. I wish the guard a speedy recovery, and hope his family are well supported by the thug's father until he's fit again.
  10. Hi. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced tailor in Bangkok who could make me a couple of dress shirts for work? I'm around a 3XL-4XL- Euro size. I've never had shirts made before, so I have no idea about prices. Any suggestions (Apart from "Lose some weight you fat b@$%&d") would be most welcome.
  11. Try using some of the memory foam tips. Squash them before putting them in your ear, then they expand to your ear shape and size. Failing that, as flexomike suggested......supaglue ????
  12. So TAT are wetting themselves over the arrival of 130 Chinese travellers. Better warn the street vendors about this huge influx of big spenders.
  13. My wife and I are in the same predicament with her 26 yr old son. No state help available as far as we know.
  14. I managed to get both the Yellow book and the Pink card after a lot of messing about. The 1st officer my wife and I spoke to said it couldn't be done (Code for 'I don't know how to do it'). After that, we managed to speak to a female officer who was very helpful and managed to eventually supply the book and the card. One strange thing I had to supply was, an official Thai translation of my parent's names. I'm 65 hahaha. With all the problems the OP is having, I'd contact an agent and let them sort it out.
  15. I've never had a problem with Booking.com. Maybe they used up their allocation of rooms for those hotels. I usually also check the hotel's website before making any booking. Their room prices are often similar and on occasion, cheaper.
  16. My problems have all been with Lex Express. I too have had the problem "We tried to deliver' etc etc, or NOT calling to say they are coming. I always pay COD and in the last month I've had 2 deliveries that want me to pay an extra 50 baht, on top of the invoice total. Next time it happens, I'll refuse it. I find it odd that on both occasions it was for 50 baht. There's no price printed on the barcode sticker. The price is written in marker pen on the side of the box.
  17. Okay Jingthing. Maybe I'll try again. But if it still doesn't 'Float my boat'..............I'll hunt you down 555????????
  18. I got through season 1. But gave up after 1 episode of season 2.
  19. You'll need to pay money to the police for them to do anything. Try to forget the 4000B and move on. You're not alone.
  20. Be careful with fights/pushing around, in the classroom. They might grt out of hand. I had two M3 students squaring up to each other. Just as I was moving towards them, one got out a knife and stabbed the other boy twice in the gut. Kid with the knife ran out. The other boy just stood there shocked. I carried him to the school nurse, then went back to the classroom to calm the other kids down and reassure them about their friend. No Thai teachers in sight. Shock, and the seriousness of the situation was starting to set in as I got back to the teachers room. The boy spent three days in ICU but thankfully, he recovered. The one who stabbed him was allowed back in the school after his parents paid the medical bill. After a couple of weeks, I was told that the director was grateful to me for not talking to the authorities about the incident. Let's be careful out there.
  21. If you're ever up in Bangkok, You can get 4x Sidegra 50mg for 120B from the pharmacy at Foodland, soi 5, Nana.
  22. If you use the deterrent spray there's no need to close off any areas to protect pets.
  23. I had the same problem. I used a 'Rat Spray' available on Lazada. Just spray it around the engine bay, Concentrating on the rubber/electrical parts. I haven't had any more problems. I think the reason rats are attracted to the plastic and rubber items is because soy bean is used in their manufacture.
