The only surprise it this has not been exposed before
No surprise as he was doing the army's dirty work. Took a change of Govt to expose him.

Alleged? Most superfluous word in the whole article.
One of our friends got conscripted a while ago against his wishes. He was allowed to avoid service as long as he didn't take any pay, that was to remain with those higher up the chain. Rotten to the core.

Last year's drought hit production hard. All our neighbours have had a reduced crop, some by as much as 30%. Now they've been told the canals won't be opened for the foreseeable future as there's not enough water in the reservoirs. Looks like some rice farmer's will be lucky to get half of their usual money.

Looks like the cow-pat in our rice field I nearly stepped in this morning.

At least Pita didn't end up in the Mekong with a concrete overcoat so hope he carries on the good fight.

Assuming the 13 year old was of normal physical development, the P word is scarcely appropriate, if no more than 7 years was the age difference.
Its all very irrelevant to the molestation of real children by actual grown ups, whatever is the rights and wrongs.
Hopefully you're not a real teacher because your moral compass is <deleted>.

If your embassy is correct then every expat is going to get a massive tax bill and its very simple because minimum 400,000baht ~ 800,000baht has to be brought in to Thailand for a retierment visa every year. The Thai government is not your friend. They want every satang they can squeeze out of you. Only when thousands of expats leave will it become another misunderstanding.
The tax payable on 400k bht per year for an expat is hardly massive, about 1700 bht per month. Even less if they are officially retired, over 65 I believe, when the allowance before being taxed goes up substantially.

I read recently, sorry can't find the link, that Thai Revenue have briefed several big law firms and accountants as well as representatives of big business. Rest assured the little guy will be last to find out the details of implementation.

There were friends of this woman who must of suspected, but weren't quite sure, that she was a <deleted> moron. She's just gone and removed any lingering doubt they may have had.

Holding about one tenth of one percent of the shares in a media company that ceased operation nearly 17 years ago is not control or influence of the electorate at all. This whole affair was the last ditch attempt by the military and it's supporters to deprive the winner of most public support in the last election their rightful chance to firm a Government.

I counted forty, honestly!, in a pickup once. Eight in the cabin and 32 in the bed. They were sat four abreast on four planks double-decker style so two layers of 16 labourers.

Well, AFAIC, this guy, being a monk, is just fine, masturbating is healthy, as far as one washes his/her hands, before and after. When I was 10 they didn't tell me and I got a UTI.
Masturbation may be entirely healthy but when somebody can't help doing it on a bus in front of adults and kids that's a sure sign they have a screw loose and need some form of mental treatment.

Where has she revealed her credit card details?
More like she's having a tongue-in-cheek pop at Thai internet citizen's unhealthy infatuation with other people's business, especially how much money they (probably don't really) have.
When you show your credit card on a public available video, if the quality is good enough, the number can easily be taken down and used by those less honest members of society.

The headline for this article is totally incorrect. How does she know that the man had intentions to rape her? Maybe he lives there too. Perhaps he is waiting for a friend of his that lives there. Maybe he wasn't going to rape her but just rob her. Maybe he wasn't going to do anything. She was smart to text her roommate and wait to get on the lift with someone that she recognized since she felt uncomfortable.
Don't you think pushing her into the room as she opened her door and then dropping his trousers was a bit of a giveaway?

Pathetic flaunting of supposed wealth followed by a statement that the card is little more than worthless. She should be more worried that she's given away her card details than any attempt at self promotion.
