Just got this from xbox-scene site:
It was up on the internet about 3 days ago
I think the source is from the UK store Argos who accidentally sent the game out to some of their pre order customers.
Strange to think that someone in the UK pops the disc in and backs it up, next day its coming out of their multi-burners on Patong beach, phuket... and everywhere else in the world
Haha Argos staff, someone's gonna be in the sh_it probably some 15 yr old work experience student

So its nationwide! How the hel_l did these guys pull this off!! Where did they get it from?

No wind up.
My friend was just at the mall Ramkamhaeng and upstairs they had a copy of Halo 3 (cracked) he loaded it up in their 360 console, it was just loading the game title screen when suddenly their console got the 3 red lights...
Anyway I was wondering:
Firstly, how the hel_l did they get hold of it? Its not supposed to be out until 25th!
Secondly, coincidence that they got 3 red lights or maybe something else? Maybe I shoudl buy my copy elsewhere...
By the way I just ent there too and saw the package with the disc inside with my own eyes so I know he's not pulling my leg...

I live in an apartment building with one of those shared internet services. One of my friends lives on the floor below me with the same internet service, anyway he had the technician round yesterday as his connection was a bit slow. Apparently the tech guy started telling him how next month the contract that CAT has with one of the main US servers that supplies the main backbone connection to Thailand expires next month and will not be renewed due to the fact that the gov doesnt think this is a necessary expenditure, so as of next month all the websites from USA/Europe will be unaccessible (so thats 99% of the web gone)...
Surely this is not true?! My friend is leaving next week and the technician knows this so it cant be just an excuse for his bad service next month.
Can anyone shed light on this?
PS. This is NOT a wind up and Im NOT trolling...and sorry if this is a really n00bie/ridiculous question to ask

Fantastic info and links, thanks everyone!
So it seems that after 35 is a bit more difficult, I can live with that as thats the age we're planning on.
My main fear is the baby being born with defects such as downs syndrome or something but it seems there are solutions to that too.
Are there any mothers reading this? If so I'd like to now what the rough/average cost of pregnancy and birth is here? I mean all the tests, scans etc up to birth and then the birth itself...

Nestegg? I think he has a debt of 207k not savings...

I have zero knowledge regarding medical data about women and child birth.
Most likely my gf has no evidence to support her 'theory'. I'm assuming its an old wives tale or something but I wanted to check. Googled this and got a lot of data that didn't really make sense to me so wanted some honest opinions from women here, especially those who had children after the age of 30.

Thanks Cathy,
I am 5 years younger than my gf (Im almost 27).
Im not worried about her having extra weight after birth, my main concerns are her fertility, the health of the child and any risks to her during the pregnancy.
When I talk about not being ready to have a child I mean we both work pretty hard, live in a small apartment and have zero savings. I think it would be pretty irresponsible to have a kid in these conditions, its not cos we're out having fun though and are too lazy to have the responsibility.

Hi,
My girlfriend is 32 years old. We want to have children some day but at the moment this is not at all possible, due to the usual reasons of work, time, money etc.
I was wondering how late we can leave it? For me I would like to leave it another 3 years, but obviously it comes down to her health. We discussed this the other night and she says her friend is 38 and now too old to have children I found this surprising and said that there are plenty of women who have kids at that age, she replied by saying Thai women aren't the same. Is this true?
Thanks
Dave

What's this 30% import duty all about then? I never knew this included consoles/games! I've been thinking about getting some games delivered from SG, but wont bother if there's gonna be another 30% on top ...

PETER991- Most of the site will be in English. In fact there won't be that much text at all, just an intro/background paragraph and the rest will be mainly pics (of the school, students, staff etc.). The only page that will have Thia language will be the course info page, my friend already has this on paper so the designer would just need to copy the text into the site (they would of course need to be able to type in Thai).
Simmo - Yes a template would be good, but I want some one to edit it for her as she doesn't have a clue and I'm too busy.

Hi
I'm currently looking into having a website built for my friend's language school. I'm doing this as a favour to her as she knows nothing about computers and the net. Anyway, she wants a fairly basic site, probably about 5 pages with photos of the school and students, info and prices of the courses, contact info etc. Nothing too fancy. I have a few quotes at the moment but I'm not too sure what a fair price would be. I do know what a 'Western' company would charge but what about Thai prices?
Thanks
Dave

Come on guys...this is a blatant wind up....

Damnit, after reading the title I thought this was going to be about people with Jatukams pulling more, oh well....

Hi
I'm doing a presentation for my Human Resource Management class at uni next week, I will be presenting about how certain MNC firms within Thailand use labour laws (such as special cases and minority groups, disabled workers etc) and any special policies they have set up. I will especially be looking at the FBA so would be interested to hear how MNCs deal with that law.
I have already tried emailing some MNCs but haven't had much response from them and Im hoping someone can put me in touch with the right person.
Thanks,
David

No sorry not me.

Ok thanks for the input everyone.
I bottled doing the 'Hello Kitty' at the last minute when I heard we had to present it too, so I used the examples of using non-monetary rewards such as trips and small gifts...seemed to go down well enough, well nobody asked any questions at the end but then again TIT

Ok thanks guys. Think I'm going to add 2, the team work one and also the 'Hello Kitty' one just to see the lecturers reaction!
Plug A Dvd Player Or Xbox Right Into A Pc Monitor?
in IT and Computers
Posted
As soon as my gf gets home from work every night she basically commandeers the TV and its bloody non stop lacorns until midnight so I always just retreat to my computer and the net. This is actually good for me cos then I have to get work done but sometimes I just want to watch a DVD or have a blast on my xbxo 360 so I was wondering if it's possible to plug either of them in to the monitor? I'm pretty sure I had a go on an xbox 360 that was linked to a com monitor in an internet shop once...
Anybody know how to do this?
