It might be time to close this thread.. but it won't happen.. and most can figure out why that is the case.
I love You-Tube Premium! So much content about this issue.. And an almost equal amount of content devoted to the fallacy of religion..all religions..
I think most of us are just trying to make sense of this (long term) situation. Good luck with that! It's a true Gordian knot. Much better minds than most of the posters here have so far failed to resolve the issue. You have the pure "liberals" looking from afar.. the "my country right or wrong' Israelis (looking at you Mike and Dow), the conflicted Israelis (conflicted because they have a pretty good idea of the local situation), and the non-Israelis (usually American.. no blood on their hands! ) just itching to flatten another Muslim "target" (yagoda and a couple of others).
Per You-Tube, Christian Zionism preceded Jewish Zionism. Christians were no slouches when it came to persecuting Jews. Probably because they blamed the Jews for killing Jesus...after Pontius Pilate gave the crowd the option of not killing him.
Then the British failed miserably when it came time to retreat from Empire.. Give a British bureaucrat a map and a pen and there is no end of trouble they can create. India/Pakistan, Palestine/Middle East.
Jerusalem should be the first International city. Important to three of the world's religions. No room for idol-worshipers of course..
In an earlier post I used the phrase imposed peace..Two peoples, not that numerous, causing problems in the neighborhood...
Just scratching the surface, but I think I've made enough new enemies for now..

My issue has not been addressed here yet and I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction...
All I want at present is a VPN for Android mobiles... that does not require using a credit card to enroll. Just don't want to do that..
Options include, purchasing through Lazada for cash, purchasing from Google Play Store paying with my AIS balance, or purchasing at a phone shop with the assistance of staff, i.e. they purchase and install on my behalf. The Lazada option is not as promising as you might think.. lots of options for computers but few for Android mobiles.
The other problem I'm encountering, on Play Store is when I review the main contenders, most mentioned here, is the amount of negative reviews. People saying that battery management is continually killing the VPN or it just doesn'tt work often. The Tech supports for the various companies answer often but usually just saying to contact them.. Often getting replies saying they have already done that..
Not very confidence inspiring.

Whats this got to do with this thread ???
Because..
History didn't start yesterday..
Because..
“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” – George Santayana
And..
Because both Shamir and Begin (wanted "terrorists" by the British Mandate authorities, were elected by the citizens of Israel and became Prime Ministers of Israel, and were accepted as such by the world's politicians.
These and many other uncomfortable facts are facts.
Having stated these facts, the world (including myself) is shocked by the levels of depravity shown by some of the Hamas gunmen.. The ones who did the horrible things have no honor as warriors, in fact no honor at all..
But..
Does an airman, unleashing death from above, have a claim to honor? They also are killing women and children. War is Hell.
Let the women and children leave if possible, then have at it..
Mano a mano.

Oh yes they will be 'stamped out' just like ISIS, you can mark my words on that!
I agree we will never have substantial peace as some ideologies are incompatible with peace and they need to be eradicated, Hamas, Iran et al knew this but decided terror was the way to further their cause. They have misjudged and many, many innocents on both sides will be killed because or these religious nutters!
Excuse me.. I believe you have a bit of foam in the corner of your mouth...

It means exactly anti-Jewish. Look it up. No one uses it in the context of Arabs, for example.
This nonsense been done to death on these topics for years now.
So as JT said....not that crap again.
I was using an anthropological phrase ..Forgive me for bringing science into the discussion..

How is it relevant?
it's relevant because, like Jingthing, most people assume that it means anti-Jewish, and it does in it's modern usage, when it's actually a predjudice against all Semitic peoples, not just Jews..
So if the phrase can be applied to both Arabs and Jews, it's not specific enough and people would be more correct (linguistically speaking to say someone is anti-Jewish, not an anti-semite.)
For more relevance take the phrase in the context I wrote it.
"2 sides of the same coin.."

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/anti-Semitism
hostility toward or discrimination against Jews as a religious, ethnic, or racial group
Are Arabs a Semitic people?
Google says Yes.
That's the only point I was trying to make.. Don't be so quick to take offense.

One wonders if Hamas has the political sophistication to announce inquiry into proven (video) war crimes by some of their soldiers..
"Gotta take one for the team fellas"
Of course most of the identified are already dead, but even a few would counter the legitimate outrage..
Ball in Israel's court.. Think collective punishment of Gazan women and children..
Starting to get complicated isn't it?

In a previous post I mentioned working for a man named Roy Farran. I said that there was plenty of info on Google.. Since it's been a while, I took my own advice and googled him..
Member of the SAS. One of the most decorated British soldiers. Born in India. Graduate of Sandhurst. Operated behind enemy lines, working with partisans(terrorists). Openly admitted to shooting unarmed Germans and Italians who had surrendered under white flags. Stone-cold killer indeed..
After the War, Britain fought against Jewish terrorists in Palestine for 3 years. Thousands of British soldiers killed by Jewish nationalists (terrorists). Somebody higher up in the British Army realized that they had a few, SAS and the like, veterans who had practiced terrorism themselves against Germans and Italians.. Lets send them to Palestine.. It worked on a practical level but failed politically..
After the incident with the young boy that I mentioned, Stern Gang sent a book bomb (through the Post) that killed his younger brother whose name had the same first initial...in Britain.
The Jewish state was born from European guilt and Jewish terrorism. in twenty years there will be more Arab citizens than Jewish, yet Israel is a theocratic State. Like Iran. How is that going to work?
I believe an imposed peace has to be on the table because these 2 peoples ( both Semitic BTW) so much for "anti-semitism", are just 2 sides of the same coin.
History did not start yesterday.
Plenty of bad people and atrocities to go around..

Many years ago, in Canada, I worked for a man named Roy Farran. I liked him. It was only years later that I learned that he was a stone-cold killer. During the Second WW he had been an officer in the equivalent of the British special forces.
He ended up being posted to Palestine in the final days of the British administration. In those days the local terrorists were Jews. The Stern Gang and the Irgun. They assassinated British soldiers and blew up the local British HQ in the King David Hotel. The very same hotel where the United Nations peace envoy was staying. This was not a mistake because they could have attacked HQ at anytime.
His mission was to identify and neutralize the Jewish terrorists. At one point his team captured a young Jewish boy being used as a runner/lookout. The boy was bundled into a car and later found dead with head injuries consistent with being beaten in the head with a heavy object. Unfortunately for Mr. Farran, he had lost his beret at the scene of the abduction, and was identified. Bad PR, only because of the boy's age. The resultant furor accelerated the British pull-out and smeared his reputation.. Hence relocation. Lots on information about Mr. Farran on Google.
Yesterday's terrorists are tomorrow's political leaders and holders of high office, as was the case for the leaders of the Stern Gang and the Irgun.

Unfortunately not necessarily true. I ordered a brand-name mouse in January. The official store immediately set the description of the product to "packed" so that I couldn't cancel. The product has yet to ship and Lazada refuse to refund me unless I send them a copy of my passport.
I had the opposite experience just 2 days ago..
Seller showed as packed for 2 days so i sent a direct message to the seller. "Why so slow?"
Received a quick response.. "out of stock"
I initiated a refund request. The refund was posted to my Lazada Wallet by the end of the day.

At this point I want to say.. A pox on both their houses..
As I try to follow international news, there have been innumerable stories out of Israel in the past couple of years highlighting the divisions in Israel. Netanyahu is apparently likely to be charged for several offenses. Staying in office is his only protection. To this end he has made political bargains with ultra-nationalist, Arab-hating settler politicians..
To insert occupying peoples into an already centuries-old area and thinking this was going to work.. The fact that this area houses important religious places for both peoples almost guaranteed on-going conflict. Both parties long for the usual historical solution.. one party or the other has to disappear.
And Hamas? Medieval barbarism by many in their ranks.. Collateral damage to civilians is unavoidable in conflicts, but deliberately killing women and children is disgusting. To then make trophies of their bodies, like they did with the Israeli-German girl is contemptible.
A warrior, for either side, can only be proud of fighting other warriors. To kill a child or a woman brings only shame.

This kind of back and forth BS is why anti-cannabis folk are not welcome here..
And for the obtuse, when a forum is created it's understood that it's a forum for enthusiasts...
You want to promote anti-cannabis propaganda? Take it to the General forum. It's a free for all there with regards to cannabis.
Finally, you antis are nothing but a mosquito on an elephants butt..we pro people have been dealing with heavy-handed LE forever.. You guys are just good for a laugh.

What has the motoring forum got to do with gay folk...? ????
Relevant because you said..
"Why, it does not say only puffers can comment...????
Have a look on the motoring forum about EV's........????"
Motors do not generally create division.
But coming into a pro-cannabis forum and promoting an anti-cannabis agenda is as welcome as going into the gay forum promoting conversion therapy.
Capiche?

40 minutes ago, digbeth said:I used to smoke, I don't mind people smoking in their room or out on the street away from entrances, but in my condo the room several floors below me smokes heavily, before it was cigarettes and now with legal weed it reeks
When I smoked I smoke on my balcony too but it's understandable how it can become a nuisance, plus there has been issue of people just flicking hot ashes out the balcony, the odd cigarettes are fine but chain smoking packs after pack let alone cannabis is intolerable to the rooms next to you
smoking in rooms just turns into hot boxes, without air filters, any smell that escapes out the door just makes the corridor smells like cheap bars
considerate smokers in my condo come down to the carpark in designated corner where it won't disturb the rooms above so much
If you have way of ensuring that smoking in your own room doesn't disturb other then by all means go ahead, same as playing loud music
The perils of communal living.. you could have similar complaints between two neighbors in stand-alone houses.

Well, that's what I though too, balcony is fine. However, condo still trying to enforce "no smoking on balcony" (weed and cigarettes).
No sure if it's legal.
Anyway, the neighbor who complained brought the subject during the annual owner meeting (which happened every year). Luckily she is in the condo below me and all the other owner told her it couldn't come from me since the smoke is going up not down so it couldn't be me.
No more complain since that ????
"No sure if it's legal."
Your condo is your private property. Legal.
Again, that's my working theory..

Disgusted with the roads!
in Pattaya
Posted
The main Pattaya roads are a disgrace.. Too much reconstruction going on at the same time..
I have a nice car but I will often call a Grab so I don't have the aggravation of dealing with detours and disappearing lanes..
It's going to be good in a couple of years but I'm running out of time!
