Which was how it was supposed to be from the start..
until Anutin decided to be Mr Popularity among the public by letting every man and his Soi dog grow it, process it, smoke it and eat it.
Do you not understand how this works? I don't think you do..
Medical is just a cover for recreational use. It always has been. It's akin to entering through the back door, rather than the front door.
In every medical weed jurisdiction there are plenty of doctors willing and able to sign prescriptions for use of cannabis.
Even if Thailand reverts to a medical cannabis approach there will still be dispensaries and growers. I don't think they are going to do that though, because the world's nations are opting to go straight to recreational cannabis, taking law enforcement completely out of the picture. And the lawmen are ok with that.
Which is not to say that there aren't legitimate medical uses. But the vast majority of medical users are just getting buzzed, because that's the cover story.

how often applied?
Every few weeks.. it doesn't evaporate. Rain will wash a lot away buy not all. Repeated rain will require reapplication.

WD-40 on the railing they are using to perch..
They don't like it at all..
Now that the rainy season is over it's an easy solution.

bigger shops definitely know what the .99% coins and buillions are, they melt them down to use in their gold
This what happened in that famous gold shop in Yaowarat. First he was deeply suspicious that I was trying to scam him.. Put a blow-torch on the coin to check malleability, did the rub test. When he agreed to buy the one coin, he gave me the money. But while I was still standing in front of him he picked up some shears and cut the coin in half. I was shocked. Then I said you have defaced my Queen and ruined the coin. He replied that he sold gold, not coins.

Thai gold is 96.5% 23 carat......so I understand.
You are right, now that I've checked.. So the shop had to give an additional 3.5 % per troy oz.

The Thai gold bars are only sell-able in Thailand, otherwise you will be paying assay charges.
I believe Swiss assay bars are available.
I made the mistake of bringing several Maple Leaf coins to Thailand..shops had problems with the math. Thai gold 92% (?). Maple Leaf coins 99.99%. Krugerrand coins 94%
Shops would not pay the premium for coins..

The Thai justice system being what it is,it is not the same wherever you
are from,
He already paid the family and that goes a long way here in Thailand.
Ok, i agree the sentence should have jail time but he got off easy.
On the other hand, putting a doctor in jail while there is a shortage of doctors will not do any one any good.
As far as justice (the Thai way) goes, the family did receive justice.
Yes, i know,
Point taken about how financial compensation plays a large role in Thai justice.
But putting a Doctor in jail is absolutely required in this case.. otherwise I guarantee he will re-offend with drunk driving..
Two people lost their lives to his stupidity.
What's the Hippocratic Oath that governs his working life?

I'd guess if while on a tourist visa a person got busted with any amount of weed or even had it in their system they'd be up for some fines and lots of hassles.
Well you would guess wrong. ????
Nobody is getting busted with any amount of weed. No roadside pee tests are being administered. This includes tourists.
I hope this makes you feel better about using cannabis in Thailand.

OMG, only in Thailand. The rest of the world is legalizing but the Thai government is propagating reefer madness, right out to the 50's. Pathetic.
No.. the Thai Government has legalized cannabis. It's the opposition party (s) that are trying to scare a few extra votes their way..
The Thai government is not unaware of the growing (????) number of governments that have either legalized already or have strongly signaled their intent to do so in the very near future.

It arrived in ground form.
Outdoor grown in Thailand.
Consumed via joint, RAW regular.
1 full joint gives a strong sense of body well-being, plus a head well-being/slight high with zero paranoia. The slight head high fades quite quickly, within an hour. The body well-being fades after a couple of hours.
The head high is so slight that it might be unnoticeable for heavy habitual users who flood their brains with high levels of THC daily.
For any user interested in CBD I’d recommend regulated tinctures (not oils) applied sublingually (under the tongue): this method combines a rapid effect (not as rapid as smoking of course) with zero lung damage.
PS My first joint was around 1970.
So you cost me some time.. scrolling back and forth looking for the missing information.
Twp posts describing the highs (quite eloquently), price also..
What you didn't add was where to buy/links

Alcohol has its own set of issues, but they are referring to cannabis here.
It seems there are societal problems and abuse of cannabis since it has been sort of legalized.
Time to put the cannabis genie back in its box.
Point by point rebuttal ..
First of all, this is the Cannabis Forum, and your position is at odds with the intent of this forum. Cannabis is a legal product in Thailand.
There are always "problems in society". Cannabis is very very far down that list.
As for stuffing the Cannabis Genie back into the bottle, that will be a task worthy of Aladdin. The sea change regarding society's perception of Cannabis is well under way, not only in Thailand. Germany and the Czech Republic will legalize recreational use within a year. The process is well under way. The European dominoes will follow suit..
North America (Canada, Mexico, and a majority of American states) is almost totally cannabis-friendly. And since the USA was the primary driver of the anti-cannabis crusade, there is less of an incentive for other countries to keep their own anti-cannabis positions in place..
We are here. We are not going away..

Even if the 21 year old is a criminal mastermind it's hard to believe he accumulated those assets since graduating high school..
I would wager (!) that he comes from a long line of "criminal masterminds".

New edict tightens controls on non-medical use of cannabis in Thailand

No it's not..
Stop with the fake news... Educate yourself if you don't want to become the equivalent of an American election denier.
Nothing about cannabis is illegal. Legal things can be controlled.
